Site Sponsor BigBadToystore.com has published a pre-order page for JustIToys's Masterpiece 05 Megatron upgrade set. This is a reissue of the original upgrade set JustIToys released during the original production run of Masterpiece Megatron, it consists of:

• Gunstock
• new die-cast leg panels to allow the stock to attach
• Silencer

The set combines to form a battle platform just like the original G1 Megatron toy had, plus the new reissue is set to come with a pre-applied orange cap to comply with US gun laws.

So will the new orange cap just be glued on like BBTS does, or is it a total remold that would require hours of kitbashing to undo?

Am I the only one here who's so sick of this nonsense about toy guns in the US having to be neutered just because the NRA insists on making the real thing more available to everyone that I'd honestly find it hilarious if a movie or TV show featured someone brutally shooting people to death with a real gun sporting an orange safety tip? Has that ever been done?

I've been wanting that to happen for a long time now.

Awesome, I was just lamenting the fact that these were sold out, I never did get around to buying one. I just hope the orange tip is just a cap and not actually orange.

This is kind of off topic, but does anyone know if there will be a new mold done for Masterpiece Megatron? I've been wanting to buy the recent reissue, but after I saw that they were doing a new mold for Optimus, I didn't want to spend the money only for a better one to come out.

here here i agree who stopping someone spray painting toy gun make it look they may as well not sell toy guns in us to begin if this is the case bbguns, costume guns powerrangers for example.

looks good if mp megatron wasnt made of glass/break easily i buy this but i may not buy mp megatron since he rusts & breaks easily

The original set was just an orange plug that was easily removable...I can't imagine they're changing it at all. Sounds to be just another run.

Don't think anyone really knows for sure at this point, but it would kinda make sense. Although, it probably largely depends on how successful MP-10 is. I would imagine Prime typically sells better than Megs, so if sales for that one were to disappoint, probably doubtful they'd give Megs another go.
