Video Review of Beast Hunters Ultimate Predaking

Note: I realize the audio is out in places... Really really annoying me

but it uploaded while i was at work and now it's too late. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope you still enjoy

Big Bad Dragon! A very cool version of Predaking from transformers beast hunters. Fantastic size and fun play pattern.
The weakest part of predaking is the lack of articulation in the dragon head and/or lack or a locking mechanism, Otherwise articulation is beast mode is fine. With a massive wingspan he is quite imposing.

Predaking has some really nice paint apps (see his thighs) but a lot of lacking areas too. Many moulded details are lost due to lack of paint.The budget has gone the the wings with I suppose is a required evil. He also has a bunch of cybertronian runes scattered all over him which is a really nice touch.

Articulation and robot mode is fairly good and mostly kibble free.

I do recommend this figure as the beast Predaking mold out at the moment.

That beast mode suuuuuuucks... except for the head lunge thingy.
Robot mode is looking better than expected but I could never get past the blocky, rigid, ugly beast mode.

this guy is garbage!!! his head just hangs out, and his wings have no articulation for them to go up in robot mode. plus he shouldve had some translucent wings like bw megatron. ive seen some lazy transformations, but this one takes the cake.

Just can't get over the placement of wings in robot mode.

Thought about skipping over Beast Hunters anyway. Be better for me to invest in the Thrilling 30, since that's going to be the highlight of the year for me.

Wicked!

This guy is awesome, and beats the pants off the Voyager version IMHO. I was planning on picking this one up at some point, but after seeing it in hand I'm actually excited about it now!

I can forgive the few issues with the beast mode, especially given that he's going to remain in bot mode for eternity. And what a bot mode it is! It really seems to address all the complaints I had about the Voyager, both in scale and function. And ratchets...so many lovely ratchets!

He looks quite imposing, but there are a few things that I wish Hasbro could've done with him to make him feel more ultimate.

I'll be getting him because he's much more imposing than his voyager-sized clone.

Not a fan of beast formers so the beast hunters are off my radar especially due to the new generations figures.
He seems to suffer the same probs as many other four legged beast modes (blocked limbs, obvious transformation), but at his size I'd have hoped that the neck and tail were extremely posable. This guy has flaws but if I were to complete my prime collection I'd get this guy and voyager prime. The scale is awesome...

At this point and time I'm really on the fence about this guy. Like 50/50. All I keep thinking about is what if they made a Ultimate dragon movieverse figure. Could you just imagine one with life like details and features That thing would be Awesome . And I don't say that a lot. But if this Predaking becomes a hot toy then I would get him.

Not bad. I wish it was bigger, I was hoping that it would be the same size as the giant, stupid looking wagon wheel prime we got. That would have been nice. Oh well, so long as we get a giant Bumblebee figure with stupid amounts of detail, paint, and gadgets in it in exchange of one of the cooler badguys from the show then I'll be happy. Because Bumblebee sells like hotcakes.

I like the wings, they improve the figure so much but I think the lack of paint and joints and the sub mini-con style transformation cheapen this figure to the point where I don't think Hasbro care about it in any way other than a potential money grabber for minimal effort.

Easy pass.

Could it be better? Yeah, of course it could. But for me the scale is perfect and it just looks so much more friggin' imposing than the voyager figure. Given what little difference there was between Hasbro's and Takara's versions of the voyager, I'd be surprised if Takara's version of the ultimate is significantly better than Hasbro's, so I may just plump for this.
