Well, the Wreckers need a guy to fix their stuff and make their weapons and such. Wheeljack used to do that way back when.Hotrodimust wrote:They made wheel jack a wrecker in the show if he was an inventor still it really wouldn't fit.

The Wreckers were their own unit who acted outside the system of authority. They would have had to had had their own resources and such.Hotrodimust wrote:Ya but that's ratchets job now he's mr fix it

Plus, they stayed behind on Cybertron when the Ark departed (which Ratchet was aboard), so there's no way Ratchet could have been there for them.
And I'm not talking about G1 either. I'm talking about Prime. Ratchet left Cybertron aboard the Ark while the Wreckers stayed behind on the Dark Energon-infested planet.Hotrodimust wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The Wreckers were their own unit who acted outside the system of authority. Yes I know but we are talking about the prime show not g1 or the comic books. So ratchet is mr fix it on the show they don't need two characters like that.

And, what do you mean by "two characters like that"? Ratchet's a medic, who specializes in healing. Wheeljack was a n inventor/engineer, who specialized in weapon/gadget design and maintenance. Those are two different professions.
All I'm saying is that Prime Wheeljack used to be an engineer for the Wreckers, but isn't anymore. While Ratchet may have some tech smarts, it isn't his primary function.Hotrodimust wrote:Lol why do I even bother there are 6 autobots on the show lets make 2 of them the guys that stay at base. Your thinking about this the wrong way plus there is Raph who's computer smarts and ratchet seems to be an inventor to since he built the ground bridge. It's not what could make sence it's what works for the show and it's limited characters it's not like g1 with a bunch of bots everywhere and it's a kid show we don't wanna confuse them right lol

After Ratchet left Cybertron on the Ark, Wheeljack was the guy the Wreckers turned to for gizmos and weaponry. But, that's in the past since he's grown to be more of a warrior now. None of this comes from G1 or comic books or whatever. It's all in the continuity of TF: Prime.
