Knights of the Old Republic (first one) loading save files problem.
Posted: Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:08 pmI borrowed KotOR offa my mate a while ago, and all was fine until today, when it started to randomly ignore my keyboard whilst in the undercity and the sewers. So I thought the easiest way to remidy that problem would be to get the update patches, which I did.
At first it completely lost my safe files.
So (a little peeved at this point) I started a new game. All wnt well, then I noticed it had found my savefiles again.
So I try and load them
It goes onto the loading screen, and the loading bar gets to roughly a third of the way along, then nothing.... the game does nothing. I can alt tab out of it and do anything else on the pc, but the game just stops.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and the problem persisted.
Tried starting a new game (incase it just didnt like me loading save files from the last instalation), the problem still persisted.
Tried loading ingame, the problem still persisted.
I would REALLY like to finish this game, so if anybody has any ideas AT ALL, I'd love to hear em.
It may help to mention Im using Vista.
