I'll begin working on a Halo Transformer Warthog when they come in.

Yarp. If I really like them, I'll order a second set to do a covenant transformer. Either off of a banshee or a revenant.

I don't know if the upgrades will make them big enough but I'd love to see you try :D

The set is currently UNTESTED but it's available now for those that feel daring. I've added ZERO markup until I have a tested version in hand and I'm happy with it and Shapeways has a promotion right now that if you order it, you get free shipping!

I wanted to make this available to you guys even if untested so you could take advantage of the deals they have going on. :D

Finally! Got a notice from UPS that my torso prototype and v2 base set have shipped. In the mean time I thought I'd pass along my WIP thus far of the Omega set :)

Just 1 part/section left to go and I'll be ready to upload to shapeways. This guy is massive.. I expect the final figure will be in the neighborhood of 3.5 - 4 inches tall (compared to the 1.75" Kreon)

BTW, anybody happen to have a Kreon (not Kre-o) Devastator that they would be willing to lend me for my next project?

Omega is lookin' good, man.

A thought popped in my head. Previously, you had asked whether you should remove the pegs to make it look more streamlined...I recommended against it, because I liked that it stayed true to the building toy look.

But have you thought about making your own panels to plug into those pegs? You could make panels that evoked Omega Supreme...or a panel that evoked a stunticon car or arielbot jet...

That's a pretty cool idea. Though I have to say that I'm already dreading how much this kit is going to cost. I don't know for sure, but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty pricey. Adding the panels on top of it will make it even less likely that any will sell. :(

I do want to do some non-building block limbs for kreon Devastator though. Ones that are sculpted to look like his combiner limbs. I don't have a mini devi so that might make things harder :/

Of course, if the panels were sold separately, people could decide whether or not to buy them. Seems like something you could release later on...once people have already invested in the base model.

for those interested, I've setup an account on Sculpteo as well as on shapeways.

The prices tend to be a little higher, but from what I gather, you get a faster turn-around time and there are more color options. All of the colors are available in polished as well, where as on shapeways only the white can be had in polished.

here's the link

they also offer some customization options. Color doesn't work, nor will using an image as a texture, but you can get a symbol or icon stamped into the parts.. like a duck or something... lol
