The target around my house had Kreons today. Blind packs and the combiners. They were not there yesterday and the only one left when I got there was Predaking.

Saw them yesterday, too. No blind packs but combiners. A lot of them. I bought Predaking with the $2 off coupon. :)

Yup, I saw the combiners the other day when I went to take advantage of Target's Buy 2 get 1 free on video games. I didn't see anything for kreons though; the only Kreon blindpack I've ever seen at my Target was a lonely little Dirge whom I immediately snapped up. Turns out he was on sale for 86 cents, so I can only assume I missed out on them somehow.

My local Target seems to have dropped the entire Kre-O line, including non-TF Kreos.

I'm not sure what Target's doing with Kreons. No 'Preview' Microchangers, Wave 1 of Microchangers in the Valentine's section, then put on an endcap near the main TFs, then replaced with Lego blindpacks, only half of the second big set wave, then Kre-O section is totally gone, then Combiners just appearing out of nowhere... meanwhile GI Joes are evidently a TRU exclusive, while other stores seem to carry every blindpacked minifigures but Kre-O.

Did get Bruticus from Target, with the $2-off coupon to boot. If I get a chance I'll pick up the others.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVE THE ACTUAL BUILDING SETS MORE THAN THE MINIFIGURES?

^ Possibly. In fact, probably.

So, why do they bother producing new building stes at all? Who buy them?
I mean, who buy them at full price?
Not me, that's for sure. It's 50% off and lower or nothing.

Still, you build the minifig and that's it. That's just a little guy. With the actual building set, you get the BIG thing. Also, it's a LEGO type toy, meaning the possibilities are endless. The "Kreo apprecialtion thread" quickly changed into a "KreoN appreciation thread". I have way more fun BUILDING things than going "pew pew" with a minifig.

For me, a minifig by itself have no purpose at all. They are made to play with something built. Now, the fun can truly beggin with Optimus Prime driving himself!

What can you say, I'm a LEGO purist. In the old, OLD way.

Speaking of room, I dont have anymore. My collection is now at a point that I dont know what to display and where anymore. Now I bought several Kreo sets that were at stupidly low clearance sales (8$ for big Bee, 9$ for Screamers, 30$ for huge OP) but I've yet to build them... and once I'm done, where the hell will I display them?

What should I remove from my shelves? What should go in storage?

AUUUUUGGGHHHH!!!! :HEADHURTS:

I'm not at that point yet, I do have a few (4) out in the living room, 3 on top of the shelves in the hallway, just a few here and there that I guess helps free up a little space. They get rotated every once in a while. I think it helps that my wife is short and so I pretty much get free reign of any free space up high.

Have you perhaps looked into some detolf from Ikea? They can go pretty much right in the middle of a room and look cool, which adds quite a bit of space. I own 2, and after we move I'm looking to get at least 2 more.

Instant fun, I think. I also found using Lego sets with Kreons mixing in them is more pratical, as this is what my kids are doing now.

Found this wave today at Target. Wasn't there yesterday. I managed to get all twelve and will put up the numbers as to who they correspond with after a bit.

After Opening these guys up and matching there numbers up here is the line up. And I bought two scourge's and two blights and both matched up. The first number is 30751 but its the second number that is important.

66 = Bulkhead
67 = Hardshell
68 = Blight (aka Blot)
69 = Arcee
70 = Acidwing
71 = Vehicon (or steve)
72 = Scourge
73 = Powerglide
74 = Perceptor
75 = Lugnut
76 = Hoist
77 = Groove

As you can see I added two of them below to show you where the numbers are. On the back top.

Seibertron member dirk2243 found wave 2 of the Kre-O Microchangers at his local Target. He bought all twelve and gave us the handy dandy identification guide to figure out who's who. Remember, it's the last 2 numbers you use to identify the Kreons as seen in the last 2 pictures.

  • 66 = Bulkhead
  • 67 = Hardshell
  • 68 = Blight (aka Blot)
  • 69 = Arcee
  • 70 = Acidwing
  • 71 = Vehicon (or steve)
  • 72 = Scourge
  • 73 = Powerglide
  • 74 = Perceptor
  • 75 = Lugnut
  • 76 = Hoist
  • 77 = Groove
