The promise of power to destroy Motormaster alone was enough to entice Drag Strip to follow Rodimus. Clearly there was much more to him then met the optic, but just how much more was something even the former racer could not have anticipated. When the Battlechargers and Octane arrived to attack the supposed Autobot invader, Drag’s ascension was put on hold, but the subsequent show of brute force from the flame-covered mech was well worth the wait. Runabout’s hand was torn from his arm while his brother was knocked right into stasis with a single backhand. The remaining Battlecharger was then beaten senseless, his optic shattered, and viciously kicked in the cranium and propelled across the floor where he collided with his downed twin.

Finally, it was Octane’s turn as the triplechanger tried to burn Rodimus with his flamethrowers only to have the fire deflected right back at him. This display of power was more like magic than the physical punishment that the two Battlechargers had just received. The fiery mech seemed to control the flames with sheer willpower, leaving Drag Strip in utter awe of his soon-to-be master. Watching the greedy fueler become consumed within his own inferno brought great joy to the former racer as the triplechanger was well known for being a bully that hoarded energon and made others beg for a mere drop. Now, Octane had gotten what he so richly deserved and soon the rest of them would receive the same treatment.

Once the three Decepticons were dealt with, Drag Strip’s optics returned to those of Rodimus as the Prime took his hand and whispered to him. The words entered his audio receptors and infiltrated his processor, making Drag feel at ease with what was about to happen. “I am yours,” the yellow Stunticon whispered back as the flame-covered mech placed one hand over his chest plate. The former racer relaxed and allowed the process to happen. He felt the pain of Rodimus’ hand as it entered into his chest cavity and finally found its way into his very spark chamber. For a brief moment, Drag was reminded of what Hex had once done to him, but before fear could return there was darkness and the pain was gone.
_________

A short time later, Drag Strip’s optics on-lined again and he found himself lying at the feet of Rodimus Prime, his new master. The former Stunticon picked himself up off the floor, feeling the additional power coursing through his circuitry. He was stronger and especially much faster than ever before. There was no race he could not win now. Even Blurr would loose to his speed and agility while Smokescreen would be the one to eat his own smoke from here on out. Drag was truly the greatest racer of them all, and he owed everything to the mech standing over him.

“My Master,” Drag Strip uttered as he stood and bowed his head before the might of Rodimus Prime. “I see so much more clearly now. The Cybertronians are a disease and we are the cure. Thank you for showing me the way past their meager existence. Thank you for freeing my very spark from the prison of my prior life.” The yellow herald looked back up into the optics of his fiery master and offered a toothy grin. “I cannot wait to make them all suffer for their insolence. Let us begin, Master, let us begin!”

The nuisance that had arrived in the form of the Battlechargers and the Decepticon fueler was dealt with in a matter of mere moments sending a sinister sense of satisfaction running through the Prime’s frame. The shear force with which he dispatched the three Cybertronians was enough to convince his intended herald to take his rightful place amongst the chosen ones.

Drag Strip’s conversion took less time and energy compared to his Brother Darkride only because the process wasn't forced on the former racer. Rodimus watched as the body of the yellow Stunticon collapsed to the floor in a heap. A satisfied smile worked its way onto his visage while he stood guard over his newest acquisition.

The wait was not long. Drag Strip’s optics soon on-lined drawing the prime’s attention but yet he made no attempt to address him nor did he lend Drag Strip a hand back up onto his feet. Instead his simply waited and watched. The former Decepticon wasted no time in getting up and swearing his intentions to do whatever it would take to eliminate the Cybertronian race from existence. A pledge that brought a pleased smile to the flame-emblazoned mech’s face.

“You will get your chance, my herald. The Cybertronian race will soon be eradicated from this universe and there is nothing they can do to stop it. It is inevitable. Their future has already been written and its title is genocide!”

Rodimus placed a hand gently on Drag Strip’s shoulder and gave it a firm squeeze.

“Yes. Let us begin. Your brothers await us.”

The possessed Autobot stepped in close to his chosen and in a flash of brilliant light both mechs were gone.

Mess Hall

It was strange, Skywarp taking such an interest in what was going on with Nightraven. The prankster was never one to bother with how others felt, so when his good friend suddenly got up and excused himself in order to find out what was bothering the femme, Thundercracker was tempted to question him. However, he really never got that chance as Skywarp returned to their table and took his seat again.

The blue Seeker quirked a brow at Skywarp’s half-hearted explanation but didn’t bother to push the subject. While ‘Warp seemed to settle back into his more usual routine Thundercracker leaned back in his chair and took a small sip of the sludge that was congealing in his own glass. The foul concoction nearly had him doubling over and purging but he was able to control the urge actually spitting the derivative out and over the table top.

“Ugh! Disgusting! It’s no wonder the Stunticons are so detestable! It’s in their fuel!”

Thundercracker let out a low chuckle as he chucked the glass over his shoulder letting the projectile shatter into tiny pieces when it hit the back wall. His attention was quickly drawn back to his fellow Seeker when a slew of questions were shot out by the teleporter…and each one pertained to what he had been doing while stationed on Earth. ‘Cracker let out a sigh before placing his chin in his hand and contemplated on just where to start. When he finally decided on the best subject to address first ‘Warp announced that he had been summoned to the bounce chamber by none other than Starscream. And before he could even wish his brother well Skywarp was out the door and well on his way.

“Heh. Well how do ya like that.”

With nothing else keeping him tied down to his current nauseating locale, ‘Cracker took his leave. He had made it so far as the outer corridor when he nearly knocked over Dirge. The blue and gold Coneheaded Seeker sent Thundercracker a low growl as he straightened his stance giving off an air of superiority. ‘Cracker took a fleeting glance at the fear monger and simply stepped around him ready to continue his trek.

“Don’t bother, Dirge. You wanna intimidate someone go find a mirror and let loose.”

Dirge twisted at the waist and called back to the other blue Seeker.

“Just what’s your problem? Have a little lovers quarrel with your buddy?”

Perfect. Not even three total breems and already he was in a face off with a pain in the aft. Thundercracker took a long look over his shoulder but said nothing in return to the other Seeker. It just wasn't worth it.

Crew Quarters

He had made the decision to take a leisurely walk through the ship…as best he could of course…and finally ended his impromptu tour at the crew quarters. Thundercracker finished entering the security code to the room he shared with Skywarp when he heard the announcement from Oil Slick. Autobots? Can’t be. How could they even find us? Still….

A wicked smirk formed on his face as he turned around and, once again, nearly slammed directly into Dirge.

“Come on, Dirge! We've got some Autobot encroachers to vacate!”

Thundercracker shoved past the blue and gold Seeker on his way to the nearest air lock leaving Dirge to wonder just what he might have missed. But instead of asking question he decided to just follow suit and get to the mangling.

Both Seekers quickly exited the air lock and ignited their thrusters providing them with the momentum they needed to break the surface of the water, transform and head toward shore where their targets would be waiting.

To an onlooker, the Ultrax was an abandoned ship. Completely derelict. No soul unlucky enough to stay behind. But that is where that onlooker would be wrong, for a small green wasp was making its way to the Bounce Chamber, completely avoiding cameras with ease due to its small size, not that it was necessary. It was Waspinator, and he was on a mission that he wasn't all too sure of his abilities in: Calibrating the Bounce Pad.

Turning a corner, Waspinator suddenly came upon another Transformer: Octane. Waspinator was prepared to flee, knowing the thuggish nature of the triplechanger, but Octane was offline. He could heal him, for needless to say, he could use a hand on the Bounce Chamber... Eh. Later. He could manage for now, and he didn't want to wake a sleeping dog.

Pressing onward, Waspinator finally made it to the Bounce Chamber.

Bounce Chamber

The tiny wasp landed on the ground, and seconds later, a robot stood where his tiny alternate form was. Moving to the console, Waspinator began to type furiously on the keys, doing his best in order to calibrate the Bounce Pad.

This was going to take a while.

Waspinator, besides numerous failures, had finally a bit of success. The screen on the console displayed instructions on how to calibrate it. Waspinator was thankful for this; calibration of Bounce Pads wasn't exactly his profession.

Typing furiously on the keyboard, the Insecticon watched the graphs and simulations, most of which meant nothing to him, until they gained a green corona around the graphs borders. One by one, the graphs lit up green. It wouldn't be long until the Bounce Pad would be calibrated.

Waspinator was no technician, scientist or anyone qualified for the task of calibrating the Bounce Pad, but thankfully for the Insecticon, he managed to light up the terminal, and with it, the Bounce Pad. Seeing as no one was around -- even the multitude of Vehicons were offline -- Waspinator decided to do a quick "Victory Dance" by spinning on his right foot, then planting his other foot back down to the floor after doing a complete spin and throwing his first digit up into the air simultaneously.

>>Ram-Bot, Wazzpinator bringzz Bounzze Pad online! It izz online!<< Waspinator cried out through the comm link, nearly jumping for joy.

He couldn't believe it. He actually did something right for a change.

Astrotrain had completed a series of scan protocols to ensure that there were no native naval vehicles in the area where he wanted to begin his descent toward the Ultrax. He and Blitzwing had made the journey with their usual level of efficiency. Just having the chance to strike out on their own, even if it was to somehow assist Ramjet in the process, felt good. No more hauling Constructicon garbage for a while. Astrotrain was more than pleased to leave that to Long Haul. He had better things to do.

The scans all came back negative, as he'd hoped, and Astrotrain angled downward, his shuttle mode crashing through the surface of the ocean and initiating his transformation sequence underwater in order to more smoothly facilitate the remainder of his descent.

>>"Astrotrain to Ultrax. Requesting permission to come aboard. We're coming at the behest of....Ramjet. Do you acknowledge, Ultrax?"<<

He looked over at Blitzwing as he too descended through the blue, saline-infested waters toward the ship below.

"If noone's home, I say we make ourselves comfortable. See what can be salvaged. Who knows, might be something of interest that we can use as leverage with that Combaticon runt."

“Yeah, that's right,” Blitzwing said. “The sooner we're off that swine's debt list the better.”

Swine. Swindle. The two words sounded similar enough in pronunciation. And upon closer inspection, they even appeared to look alike up until the last couple of letters. Swindle the swine: a perfect match.

Anyway. Moving on to more vital matters now.

What exactly was favourable about Ramjet's supposed plan? In fact, what kind of a plan did he have? He shared not its details—offering only fragments of a scheme that barely existed at all.

In the beginning, Blitzwing thought Ramjet had something going on, something interesting, but not anymore. Approval surrendered to suspicion once again, sending him back to square one, back to allowing his wariness to play a significant role in his judgement.

As Blitzwing followed Astrotrain, first through the sky then through the sea's shifting surface to the Ultrax below, he brooded over the possibilities of Ramjet's plan. Then the risks. Then the trouble he and Astrotrain could find themselves in. Then everything that could fail spectacularly for whatever reason, which probably would happen.

Yikes.

Step aside, Dead End, for the true inheritor of the pessimistic crown belonged to Blitzwing, master of misery.

The Seeker's plan must have been terrible if his core processor was cluttered with as much negativity as Dead End's. Not good.

Kurile Trench--Descending

>>"Copy that, Swindle. Securing our position aboard the Ultrax now. Hopefully we'll secure Octane as well while we're down here."<<

Astrotrain had waited...and waited...but no satisfactory response had come from the Ultrax. Oh well, what the slag was he waiting for anyway? A welcome mat and an invitation. Frag that. He was coming in one way or the other.

The easy way, of course, was to simply use the bounce codes provided by Ramjet in order to get aboard. He probably could have looked them up himself but that would've taken forever. Finding the right set of codes, Astrotrain activated the bounce protocols from his position thereby allowing he and Blitzwing to be transported aboard without letting in a sea of this putrid, saline-rich hydrogen compound that they seemed so keen to hide beneath on this mudball of a planet.

"--totally agreed, Blitz," Astrotrain finished saying as he and the other triple-changer appeared within the bounce chamber. One other mech was there to greet them. Between him and Swindle, Astrotrain was not entirely sure which one he'd rather deal with at the moment. But he had no choice in the matter either.

Waspinator it was.

"Well well...," Astrotrain began, before finding himself unable to think of anything particularly clever to say.

Moving on.

"Where's Octane?"

Thank Primus for Astrotrain. Not only did he get Blitzwing and himself on-board the Ultrax without Ramjet the No-Show and his mythical bounce codes, but he also responded to Swindle's transmission, saving Blitzwing from having to interact with the conniving Combaticon. The Triple Changer, of course, could have acquired the codes and spoken to Swindle as well—he was capable of accomplishing those things—but... But...

He just didn't want to.

Ramjet was scarcely more real than that plan of his at this point in time, and that observation reduced Blitzwing's already meagre amount of enthusiasm for what he had in store to almost nothing. His absence, too, really had Blitzwing experiencing a state of anxiousness bordering on paranoia. What if the Seeker had set them up?

No. Not possible. He wasn't bright enough to hatch a clever scheme, let alone carry said clever scheme out.

Particularly when his partner in crime appeared to be Waspinator, an even bigger nickel-plated nitwit than Ramjet.

Blitzwing smirked at Astrotrain before directing it at Waspinator. He repeated the question, pressuring the bug bot into releasing an answer. “Yeah, Waspy. Where is Octane? Where is our oh so selfless comrade?”

Waspinator was forgetting something. He knew it... But he just couldn't put his finger on it. Was it Octane? No, he just chose not to put him in the CR Chamber for the moment, just to avoid possible abuse from the bully. It had to do with the Bounce Chamber... Hm.

It finally jumped into Waspinator's mind when Astrotrain and Blitzwing walked into the chamber, asking where Octane was. He was supposed to Bounce them in... Oh yeah, that's the ticket!

Wait. They're already inside. Darn it.

"Oh, uh, Wazzpinator zzorry; Wazzpinator forgot to Bounzze you in! Anyway, Bully-Bot izz deactivated in corridor. Wazzpinator doezzn't know why. Wazzpinator wazz actually about to put him in Zzee 'n R Chamber, but Wazzpinator forgetzz." Waspinator explained, walking past them and leading the group to Octane.

Walking down the corridor, Waspinator stopped in front of the deactivated body of Octane, then grabbed the Triplechanger, tossed him over his shoulder and continued his trek to the Med Bay.

"Wazzpinator will debrief you now!" Waspinator said in his usual, high pitched tone as he placed Octane in a CR Chamber and started the cycle.

"Ultrackzz izz currently low on Energon and, frankly, in need of repairzz. Zzat izz why Ram-Bot izz talking to zze Constructo-Botzz, zzo zzey will repair zze Ultrackzz. Weaponzz are online, ditto with Life Zzuport. Enginezz and Zzeilds are currently offline. Once Ram-Bot izz finished with zze Constructo-Botzz, he'll be back here to give uzz an Energon target. Until zzen, do what you like!" Waspinator explained confidently. It was nice giving the orders instead of recieving them, you know?

And with that, Waspinator waited for a response.

Astrotrain had barely grunted at Waspinator's "apology" for forgetting to bounce them in but followed him as he lead them to Octane, sparing a moment here and there to take a look around. The Ultrax. It was the Stunticons' ship. And it looked it, too.

Better than nothing, he supposed. Maybe. By a little. It smelled like old grease and looked worse. Paradise for the Stunticon psychos, Astrotrain was sure.

At least Octane was alive, even if he didn't seem to be in the best condition. Astrotrain actually couldn't help but smirk at that. He might be a fellow triple-changer, but he was a greedy skidplate too. He deserved whatever bad mojo came his way.

With Waspinator's explanation, everything clicked as to why Ramjet had been so interested in the Constructicons. They might actually be able to make this ship somewhat livable, as long as the Stunticons were out of their way. And that didn't seem to be any problem at the moment.

"Huh. Sounds good, I guess," Astrotrain said absently, still looking around the ship, especially now that they were inside the med-bay. One never knew what kind of goodies might be stashed away in here. He had to remind himself that it was the Stunticons' med-bay. All he'd probably find were burnt out tire treads and used, rusted-out power tools. He walked over to one of the storage lockers and opened it.

Data discs that had been smashed by a pile of assorted metal junk that Astrotrain couldn't even begin to identify.

Great.

He slammed the door shut.

Time was ticking away. Well, he could at least say one thing for this little bug-a-con, he wasn't excessively chatty. That suited Astrotrain just fine. But waiting for Octane to get healed up was on par with watching paint dry.

Now that they were on this Stunticon wreck, Astrotrain's curiosity regarding what was going on inside any other Decepticon ships in the area started to increase. If he couldn't really do anything just yet, he could at least think about what he would be doing in the near future. He knew the other Decepticons were probably having a pretty serious brawl on the Predacons' happy little home, wherever it was parked. Especially given who all was gunning for command. Astrotrain, for his part, was more interested in seeing what could be done in their favor after the dust of their command melee settled.

And, of course, there was nothing to say they couldn't make a little headway in that regard while they were down here.

Say, how long's the guzzler going to be stuck inside this thing, eh?

It certainly wasn't intended as a trigger phrase, but Octane's optics snapped online just as the last bits left Astrotrain's vocoder. The hatch of the CR tank opened with a silent hiss as the last drops of the nano-filled resuscitation fluid was gurgling down through the drains.

Octane looked around. Astrotrain. He was leaning against the wall, with an 'oh slag, I'm so bored I'm gonna rust' expression. Just seeing him like that instantly made Octane aware how much nothing was happening. Astrotrain had the habit of constantly poking his nose into things just to occupy himself. He called it 'opportunity'. Came in short supply right now, apparently.

Memories were still far out. Octane couldn't even recall what was going on last, before he got shoved into the tank. He knew where he was and had some mental images on how he had gotten here but not much besides. Must have taken a serious whack to the cranium. Probably Motormaster. Or something.

He clambered out of the CR chamber. Dizzy. Lying about in those damn containers sure wasn't his pick for recreational activity. It always made him feel winded for some time after release. He hated it.

'Hey, 'Train,' he greeted his comrade curtly. Comrade, heh. Well, sort of one. More like, 'one of the slaggers to hang around with'. 'You don't look amused, pal. What's the bother?'

Waspinator tapped his first digit to the speed of seconds, as if they were the hands of a clock ticking away. What was taking Ramjet so long? Why hadn't he called in? Maybe things had went sour. If they did, who would lead these men? Him? Yeesh. Waspinator hadn't thought about that. The thought hit his mind like a brick, and if he weren't as conscious at the moment, he would have flinched physically.

Suddenly (and thankfully) a signal came in. It was what he was waiting for.

"Gotta go get Ram-Bot witzz zze Bounzze!" Waspinator exclaimed, jumping up from sitting on one of the medical examination tables.

It was kind of funny, really, he had been there so many times they actually felt comfortable. Either way, it was time to leave this room and get to the Bounce Chamber. Something told Waspinator that Ramjet didn't like to be kept waiting. He hadn't known him long, but he could make several assumptions about the seeker. Being a benevolent leader was not one of them.

Racing into the Bounce Chamber, Waspinator tapped his fingers in rapid succession on the bounce pad terminal, then with a final jam of his first digit, there was a bright light. Emerging from the dissipating light was the form of Ramjet, who still smelled of water.

"Where are they?" he inquired, brushing past the Insecticon briskly.

"Soldier-Botzz in Med Bay, zzir!" Waspinator replied with a salute.

Ramjet smirked to himself. He then turned and beckoned the Insecticon to follow him, and together they strode into the Med Bay, where it seemed Octane was awake and exiting his CR Chamber. Excellent. This one didn't have to be coerced by much of anything. Promise him a good time and boom; you have yourself a soldier.

"I see we're all here." Ramjet said with a broad smile, glancing briefly to Octane.

"Firstly I would like to tell you what I was doing with the Constructicons." Ramjet said with a squint, "This ship currently does not have many of the things I require it to have. I won't go into detail, but what I can tell you is that there is an alliance with the Constructicons, and that they will be working on our ship for a while. In turn, we will provide them with several things, among them a portion of our Energon, which brings us to our second order of business."

Ramjet paused to add effect.

"I have a plan to make sure we suffer the least amount of casualties. Firstly, Blitzwing will... Ah... Have some fun with some humans near a place called Hoover Dam. In other words, if that dam were to be destroyed, the effect on the human population would be to extreme effect. The Autobots would intervene, thus leaving us to do our business. Also, Blitzwing, you might want to take a few empty Energon cubes that you could fill if you wanted to. Just remember that your mission is to be a diversion. Where Astrotrain and I are headed to is an Oil Platform in the sea off the coast of the human place called America. Our primary goal is to siphon the fuel off from below the surface, and when we finish, we decimate the oil platform, turning all witnesses into casualties. Waspinator, you'll stay here and make sure to bounce us back the moment we ask for it. After our missions are done, we regroup and rendezvous here. Suit up, boys, we're going on an Energon run." Ramjet explained his plans with vigor, making sure to turn and face those involved and meet them with his flaring red eyes.

It was then when he turned to face the resident bully and refueler of the group.

"Octane, I trust you've been listening? You're welcome to come with me, if you like what you hear." Ramjet said, striding up to the refueler and giving him a genuine, devilish smile.

Octane's post-stasis greeting was pretty much what Astrotrain would have expected from his fellow triple-changer. He looked at Octane, sizing up his condition before answering his question.

"Eh, best laid plans. That fuel raid we went on, what seems like forever ago now, went well enough. But things have pretty much gone to slag since then. Blitzwing and I ended up getting saddled with Constructicon monotony, broke free of that, cut a deal with Swindle and now here we are working for Captain Rams-into-things and his little pet--"

Astrotrain cut himself off as he heard the med bay doors slide open once more and none other than Ramjet himself and said pet made their presence known again. Astrotrain crossed his arms and stood to listen while Ramjet spoke since he apparently wanted to bring them all up to speed on just what it exactly it was he was doing and what he hoped to accomplish.

The news that he had formed some kind of alliance with the Constructicons wasn't exactly that thrilling. He and Blitzwing had just managed to get away from them and their tedious need to always be building something. The part about the Constructicons being provided with some portion of their energon made him chuckle a little in his head. He could only imagine how well that would go over with Octane.

"You might have been otherwise occupied there, Ramjet, but we went on a fuel run not that long ago. Well, relatively speaking of course. But it's what landed Octane in that CR chamber to begin with. Not that I'm against the idea of stocking up with more fuel. We'll probably need it. I'm just thinking, with the Fallen back and all, we might want to tread carefully. And there's the whole Hoover Dam thing. Subtlety is not your strength, Rams. We're going to end up breaking every infiltration protocol Megatron put in place and then we'll not only have Autobots and humans on our afts, but Decepticon muckety mucks who don't want their precious strategies messed with. You're gonna have a target on your back so big Misfire would bullseye it."

Astrotrain held up his hands in an indication that he wasn't trying to take over the operation.

"Just something to think about."

Blitzwing gave a slight grunt of satisfaction to his new orders. He didn't care that he wasn't going to be making an energon run with the rest of the group, he loved to just go crazy and make a mess of things, especially for humans.

"Alright Ramjet," he said speaking up from the back of the room, "if I'm gonna do this, I'm going to need some weapons. Oh, and some extra energon, it is a long flight to America."

Octane looked lost, deep in thought, however, he was only staring at Waspinator with something approaching pity. The insecticon wash-out had always struck Octane as a miserable creature. He almost felt sorry for him. And usually, he started kicking whoever he felt anything close to sorry for. The pathetic wastrels deserved nothing less.

Octane wouldn't have made an exception this time, either, but Ramjet was doing his best to distract him, explaining away his next big plan. He would have made an excellent show-mech, Octane had to give him that much. But a show-mech, not a business-mech. In their current situation, that appeared to be a crucial difference, as their continued operation depended on it.

Especially, if they seriously wanted to give away even the smallest amount of energon. Their own, hard-earned energon. So hard earned it got some of their party in a CR chamber.

Octane, I trust you've been listening? You're welcome to come with me, if you like what you hear.

Octane took on his best confident smile.

'Ramjy, Ramjy, you've got a serious spring of enthusiasm there, I see,' he said, approaching the cone-head seeker, 'but please allow me to offer some... professional advice on resource management before you decide on the course of action to take.'

How he hated this. Inflate the other's ego but sound convincing at the same time. Octane gestured at Blitzwing with one actuator.

'While I'm in no way against Blitz having his fun, Primus knows, he deserves it, but as for us... why destroy such a precious commodity as this fuel platform you speak of? Why blow it all public? We need continuous fuel influx better than attention, right? So, I was thinking, we might just be able to utilize this facsimile technology we've been equipped with to take over the whole thing without the fleshbags even being aware of it.'

He spread his hands and backed away a step.

'Yes, I know it takes more work but think of the gains! We wouldn't have to share our energon with anyone, instead, we can ask them for a service or some returns for providing it to them. Even more profits. And prestige. Real prestige.'

Not to mention, more room to maneuver for me... and the others if they want in, he tought and shot a suggestive look at Astrotrain, careful enough for Ramjet to not notice.

'I'm sure you'll make the best decision, though. Just my two chits.'

Ramjet felt a smirk creep over his face as Astrotrain expressed his concerns, followed closely by Octane. Who says that they would be noticed in the first place? Put simply, they remove the oil rig efficiently, they remove their witnesses. Blitzwing's alternate mode would be enough to inflame relations with human governments, and besides, the Autobots would have to step in when the dam would begin to blow to save the lives of all of those people. It was a good plan. But the reference to the Fallen was not a welcome one. He had plans for the Fallen, but he wasn't about to reveal them.

I haven't forgotten about him; no-sir-ee... Not one bit. Ramjet thought while taking a breath in to begin his explanation.

"Astrotrain, Octane, I see your concerns. Firstly, about our previous energon run which I did attend. The reason that ended as it did was the Autobots showed up. With a diversion, the Autobots will not show or be too late to stop us. Furthermore, the Stunticons pretty much cleared out all of the Energon that remained on this ship. Only a bit remains, which is why this is so important. Also, about the human government, I wouldn't be surprised if the humans didn't already have at least suspicions about our involvement in the first place, so really and truly, destroying the platform is a way of preventing them from gaining sufficient evidence to support those suspicions. Did you know that oil platforms are outfitted with both Radar and Sonar? That they have cameras below the surface to watch what they are doing at all times for safety's sake? There would be evidence; a considerable amount at that. If Soundwave were here, he would have that deleted in moments, but then again, we don't have Soundwave, do we? I guess it's up to ourselves to erase the evidence before it reaches their higher-ups." Ramjet explained, looking at each one of their red optics as he went on.

"Furthermore, the Dam operation is a diversion. With Blitzwing in his Jet mode -- and you will be, Blitz -- no one will notice him so high up and in cloud cover. The dam will either blow or distract the Autobots long enough so our operation can go smoothly and without any losses." Ramjet stated frankly, emphasizing the point that the TripleChanger would have to be in jet form.

Ramjet paused before continuing to collect his thoughts.

"But you do provide a valid point for the facismiles. Perhaps in the wake of said 'disasters', one or two could be sent in and take political advantage of the situation." Ramjet said with a passing pat on the shoulder of Octane, followed by a devilish glare which would catch fire to things if at all possible. It was all he could do other than smashing Octane's face into small bits, which wouldn't look good on his record as a leader everyone wants to fall behind.

Ramjet walked past the others and over to Blitzwing, where he motioned for him to follow. He moved to a computer, where he typed in a command. On the screen came a satellite view of the area surrounding Hoover Dam taken by Sky Spy drones. It was mostly desert, but there was one place where an optimal bounce spot would be. It was in the town built up nearby, which served as a residential district for those who worked on the dam. How ironic it would be for the town that built the dam would be the place that the attack was launched to destroy it. Ramjet zoomed in and tapped the screen. It was an airport.

"You'll bounce in here -- No need for an Energon cube -- and you'll immediately fly off from the airport and head for Hoover Dam, where you will do a passing strike in an effort to blow the dam. Pump as much firepower as you can into that thing until you see water leak from the front. That's all you need to do. It would be too late for saving anyhow. Then, you fly back to the airport, land and park in the hangar, where you will report in to Waspinator, and you'll be back in a jiffy. Remember, stay in the cloud cover. It is a rainy day there, one of the few times it ever rains in that arid place, so you should have plenty of cover. Remember, the dam doesn't have to blow in one fell swoop, you just have to make it threatening enough that the Autobots have to step in. And remember, if you can see water pouring from the front, then your job is done for you." Ramjet briefed, gesturing a diagrams as he went.

"And as for the rest of you," Ramjet turned to the rest of his troops, "We leave in one breem. Be there prepared or you're not going. Bring plenty of empty Energon cubes. Understood?"

Blitzwing shot a glance toward his fellow Triplechangers, then gave a slight shrug as if he were saying, "Well, we tried" while Ramjet was punching in codes into the computer panel. The commando received his orders from Ramjet then stepped into the bounce chamber.

A distraction, He began to thought, Megatron's gone and I'm stuck "distracting" the Autobots. I say we crush them under the force of the dam breaking! He looked up towards the lighting of the Bounce Chamber, clearing his mind of his latest thought.

No, no... We need this. Gotta stick to the plan...

He gave Ramjet a thumbs up, signalling he was ready for the jump to the airport he had selected for Blitzwing.

At least I still get to have my fun.

Astrotrain had shot off an uncertain glance in both Blitzwing and Octane's direction as he had followed Ramjet to the console where the white and black Seeker continued to explain his plan. But follow he did, as there seemed to be no other rational alternative at the moment.

"But the Fall...,"Astrotrain had barely stuttered out but Ramjet was already deep into negating any concerns that he or the other Triple-Changers had raised and continuing forward. Astrotrain had to admit, this Seeker lived up to his name, for better or worse.

Not that he was exactly fully against the idea of adding to their energy stockpile, he just wasn't convinced that this thing was going to go down as smoothly as Ramjet wanted to make them think. After all, if it was just that easy, why wasn't he leader now?

"Gonna have to find one of those portable cube generators somewhere on this wreck, since Soundwave ain't exactly around. And that's gonna take longer than a breem, unless your pet there knows where one is," Astrotrain said, pointing at Waspinator. "We can always just stock up on the raw materials and convert it later, I guess. I just....I don't know. We're talking about fuel runs and Autobots and humans and protocols at a time when one of the original thirteen is actually walking around on the same planet. That's no coincidence. Not this far out in the middle of cosmic nowhere. One of the thirteen that was cast out by the others for wanting to destroy them, according to the stories. And probably wants to destroy us all. I don't know. It just isn't syncing up."

OoC: Sorry for the delay. I had a great family reunion where I spent some great times with the family. It was really fun [failing at] golfing with my cousin... Except for the fact that I came home with Chigger bites and the fact that I did a shoulder workout two days before, making my arms dead weight.

Ramjet honestly felt the urge to punch his partner, Astrotrain, but at the same time he felt oddly calm, and that same cool calmness was reflected on his metallic face in a twisted smirk. A chill came over him at that moment. It appeared he was becoming more and more like Starscream and he didn't even know it. At that thought, Ramjet wiped the look off his face and replaced it with a confident glare.

"Astrotrain, you don't need to worry about a thing; I've got this handled. And besides, don't we have to have Energon to survive the Fallen, eh? Plus, if he wanted us all dead at this very moment, then why hasn't he done it already? No doubt he could go up to the Obliteration and promptly rip Shockwave and the better part of the Decepticon army a new one. So why the wait? Quite frankly, I've had the same thought on my mind. But a better question would be, why would we waste such a chance to stockpile as many weapons, men and Energon as we can until that day does arrive?" Ramjet stated as frankly as possible to make it clear to his subordinate that there would be no further questions in this matter.

Ramjet then addressed the comment about the Energon Cube dispenser.

"Well, 'pet'," Ramjet turned to Waspinator, who was idly standing by the door at the time with a laugh, "D'ya know where one is?"

Waspinator didn't like being called a pet, but it couldn't be helped. He did spend a lot of time around Ramjet, though, and that was probably the root of the rumor. A pang of a horrid thought came over his head. If he spent too much time around Ramjet, there might be other rumors spread. The Insecticon made a mental note to ask for an assignment -- preferably one away from the rest of the Decepticons -- to do after everything was said and done with the Energon run.

Either way, the Insecticon looked off into space for a moment, recalling where he might have seen one last. Then a thought came to him. He never returned the one he took on the previous run to the oil facility in Iran. Feeling around his lower abdomen compartments, Waspinator dispensed one and made a "cowboy pistol spin" motion with the gun-like assembly and handed it to Astrotrain with a goofy grin.

Which really did not look like a grin with his horrid face.

"I'd say that's everything then. Shall we begin?" it was a rhetorical question, of course. Of course they were going to begin, and it was going to go smoother than any mission of Starscream's. This was going to be fun.

Blitzwing, as usual was the most eager of the three of them and had quickly made his way over to the bounce pad and was gone shortly thereafter. Astrotrain would have rolled his optics if they were possessed of the function.

He returned his attention to Ramjet as he spoke. Ramjet had that the look of a mech that wanted to hit him. Astrotrain had seen that look before, quite a few times. The former-member of the triorian guard could only wish that he would try it.

The Seeker had the confidence of a leader, there was no doubt about that. Part of his plan made sense, and Astrotrain could easily get behind it. And part of it was just spark-shatteringly glitched. And he couldn't really reconcile the two. But he supposed he didn't really have to, either.

After all, he wasn't the leader.

Or trying to be.

Waspinator, for his part, seemed to have allayed at least one of the triple-changer's concerns and produced something of a smaller version of an energon cube production unit. Not expressly what he had in mind, but workable under the circumstances. He started to follow Ramjet.

Then a transmission came in.

Astrotrain froze in place as he listened to Blitzwing. He hadn't ended up wherever Ramjet was wanting him to go. He was on the Thanatos now. What in the glitchin' slag? He looked over at Octane. Blitzwing had mentioned them both by name, so obviously they were the only two receiving it.

Oh, great, leave us here...

How had he managed to get on the Thanatos anyway?

Astrotrain walked over to the bounce chamber control panel and began examining it. Then a bright idea hit him.

"Hey, alright Rams...so, I'm not overwhelmingly convinced with your little plan but I think it has enough merit that I'll get behind it. But, I don't know, don't you think we should at least get back onto the Thanatos and see if you can wrangle any more supporters? Dirge? Thrust? Anybody! The more mechs you have behind you the more likely this little gambit of yours will go off the way you want it to."
