Razorclaw took a step back as the main lights finally kicked on. Apparently, someone on board had the wits about them to restore power without being ordered to. It was likely one of the Stunticons as they knew their own vessel better than anyone, but that was just a guess on the Predacon Commander’s part. It didn’t matter as now they could all move onward with more important things. Motormaster, of course, wasted no time in wanting to hear what both Razorclaw and Starscream had to say to him, demanding that they start talking immediately.

However, before Razorclaw could utter a word, Starscream had spoken up and said his peace. The Seeker Commander was clearly trying to take the lead here and that was to be expected. However, while Razorclaw agreed with much of Starscream’s assessment of what needed to be done, the Predacon leader had hoped to speak with Motormaster alone as his long term plans did not align with that of the seeker, but with the specialty units. However, it was unwise to request a private meeting with the Stunticon Commander as it would raise a considerable amount of suspicion with Screamer. Regardless, a private communique with Motormaster was still possible if handled discreetly once responding to the head Seeker’s suggestions was out of the way.

“You are right, Starscream,” Razorclaw began to say as he motioned for his Predacons to back off and give the trio of commanders room. “We must remain unified if we are to deal with Shockwave and those that have backed him. I can tell you that many of those who are currently on the Thanatos are likely his supporters, including Soundwave and his miniature minions. However, there are others such as Blackwind and Thunderwing who are not necessarily on his side. I know for a fact that Blackwind has no love for the cycloptic scientist and her close relationship with Thunderwing seems to suggest that he will not support Shockwave in the end, either. Of course, there’s also the real possibility that Thunderwing, himself, may seek leadership with the femme’s backing, but they have little other support on their side at this time.”

The Predacon Commander stroked his chin before continuing. “As for sheer numbers, I believe we have the advantage. Between my Predacons, the Stunticons, the Combaticons, the Constructicons and the Seekers, we hold the edge against Shockwave and those few who would support him. What he does have is the Thanatos and thus he has raw power at his disposal that he will surely use against us if we are eventually detected. However, the amount of water that currently resides above us should provide a decent amount of protection from any normal scans he may try to conduct from orbit. We simply must be careful with our transmissions and make sure they are encrypted at the highest level. Otherwise, we risk exposure.”

“I also strongly agree that we need to secure the Ultrax as much as possible. As that is being done, we can do what Starscream says and contact the other teams at the construction site for the new base. Perhaps some of us can even rendezvous with them in person. Either way, we need to know what progress has been made there and if we can utilize whatever structures may have already been built. As for any attack against Shockwave, it must be well thought out and not rushed or it will surely fail and give him the control he so desires.”

Razorclaw then peered over at Thrust, having overheard the crimson conehead’s suggestion regarding the human satellites. “Even if one of the primitive satellites had the ability to hack into the mainframe of the Thanatos, we would likely gain nothing regarding who has sided with Shockwave as I doubt ol’ one-eyed, himself, even knows who is on his side at this point. Not everyone has made a decision as to whom to align with yet.”

Razorclaw finally finished speaking, allowing his optics to switch back to Starscream and then over to Motormaster once more. It was now that he chose to open a private, internal comm line to the Stunticon Commander so that no one else in the room would be privy to the words that were about to be transmitted between the unit leaders.

>>”Commander Motormaster, I was hoping to speak with you privately, but with Starscream here that didn’t seem to be a doable option without raising suspicion. Therefore, I am forced to convey my true intensions to you in this fashion. Ever since the news of Megatron’s demise, Onslaught and myself have considered long and hard about the future of the Decepticon Empire and who should ultimately lead it. We both agreed that neither Shockwave nor Starscream are viable options in the long term. The consensus he and I have come to is that the future of the empire lies with our specialty units along with yours and Scrapper’s. Our four teams have long been utilized as expendable assets in this neverending war to be yielded much like a laser gun or sword. We have been taken for granted with the assumption that we would always do as we were told. But, that has all changed. Now, it is our time to tell others what to do.

“Right now, Onslaught is down on the surface having a similar discussion with Scrapper. If we joined together, our four teams would hold the power to not only shape the future of the empire, but to also choose the leader that we want to rule, one that will abide by our wishes and give us the respect that we more than deserve after all that we have done for the Decepticon cause. It is time for the specialty teams to take center stage and do what is necessary to ensure the continuation of the empire and the eventual destruction of our enemies. We have waited in the wings long enough, Motormaster. It is time for us to act!”<<

Engineering Deck

Drag Strip frowned as he received Motormaster’s response back. Of course, his belligerent leader decided to berate him for taking too long, not realizing that it only took the former racer the time that it did because of the obstacles that were in his path. Those obstructions were overcome as quickly as possible and power was ultimately restored, but that mattered little to the Stunticon Commander. He cared more about tearing into his own subordinates than giving them the credit that they deserved when a job was well done. Still, there seemed to be a hint of approval in Motormaster’s voice, but it was nothing Drag would point out for fear of being scrapped permanently.

After sending a quiet acknowledgment of his new orders to the Stunticon Commander, Drag Strip opened a comm line to Breakdown, Dead End and Wildrider: >>”Guys, we have new orders. Once you are all fixed up, we need to head down to the hangar and retrieve the new load of energon cubes that Octane brought back with him from the refinery. Some need to be fed into the ship’s power grid while the rest is to be secured in the cargo hold. I’ll join you all once I get patched up, myself.”<<

Once his message was sent, the yellow mech headed up the nearest jefferies tube and made his way towards the repair bay.

Repair Bay

Drag Strip entered the room and found both Breakdown and Dead End mulling about, the latter of which was gathering up tools in order to help repair himself. At least someone else besides myself is taking the initiative to get fixed up, unlike a certain paranoid mech that I could mention, Drag thought, wondering if he’d have to secure the energon all by himself or if he’d actually get some help from his Stunticon brethren.

Ignoring his teammates for the moment and instead focusing on his own needed repairs, the former racer found his way over to a medical berth that appeared to still be functioning. He quickly programmed it for a basic repair cycle and then laid face down on the table as the appendages quickly went to work fixing the damage he had sustained on his back. It wouldn’t take too long for the process to finish and then he’d be able to get to work on the tasks Motormaster had outlined for he and his brothers to complete.

“You guys better hurry up with your repairs,” Drag Strip called out to both Breakdown and Dead End. “The boss will have all our hides if the energon isn’t secured soon and the ship re-energized. I sure ain’t taken the fall because the rest of you can’t get your afts in gear!”

Skywarp nodded when Nightraven mentioned that she would like to check up on Hellion. “Of course I don’t mind,” he said, letting go of her hand. He considered going with her, but decided against it. If the berserker femme wasn’t awake already she soon would be and ‘Warp wanted to be anywhere but near her. It sometimes amazed him that Nighty and Helly were sisters as they didn’t seem to be much alike other than being seekers. Nightraven was rather quiet and meager while Hellion was loud and violent. They were polar opposites and yet still related.

Once the main power was restored, the corridor became awash in a sudden illumination that took them both a bit by surprise. Skywarp then chuckled slightly when Nightraven tapped his head-mounted light and suggested that he could turn it off now. “Yeah, I guess I don’t need it anymore,” the prankster replied as he reached up and quickly deactivated the light with a mere touch of his index finger.

“I suppose I’ll head up to the bridge now,” he continued. “Starscream may still want to debrief me if he has the time. If not, I’ll find something constructive to do I’m sure.” The teleporter then reached out and patted Nightraven on the shoulder. “Regardless of my past issues with your sister, I do hope she is okay.” Skywarp flashed her one last smile before turning and walking away down the now well lit corridor. What he hoped to find on the bridge was some answers as to what the slag had happened or at least receive new orders on what to do next.

From beside Dead End, Breakdown was still scanning the room for anything and anyone that would be watching him, judging him. The Stunticon was trembling but kept under slight control. When the lights flickered and finally pulsed back to life, the white and blue Lamborghini jumped up to his feet in utter surprise.

Breakdown let out a nervous chuckle at Dead End’s deadpan exclamation concerning his ‘surprise’ that the lights were actually repaired. Once the warrior had gotten to his feet and began to make his way over to one of the repair suites, Breakdown refocused on Dead End and quickly jogged up to where the crimson Stunticon was standing.

“Wa…wait for me Dead. I still need repairs done on my hand.”

The white and blue scout moved to one of the medical berths where he input the data necessary to repair his mangled hand. The apparatus above the berth came online and causing Breakdown to jump slightly before he finally settled down enough for the appendages to begin their repairs.

The scout’s attention moved from the working arms to the doors of the repair bay as Drag Strip stepped inside. The former racer move to another one of the empty repair berths and programmed it to work on the yellow racer’s back-plates.

Turning his optics to the floor below his feet, Breakdown heard Drag Strip mention that Motormaster would be rather incensed if they didn’t hurry to secure the energon and re-energize the ship.

“Ye…yeah, Motormaster will tear us apart if we don’t hurry up. And I’m in no mood to be…um…rand.”

Of course the Stunticon was always so eloquent when it came to pronunciation.

Corridor outside Bounce Chamber

Nightraven let out a light chuckle as Skywarp reached up and deactivated the light on the side of his cranial unit. It seemd that he wouldn’t accompany her to the repair day. She nodded in response and sent the teleporter a gentle smile, but it faded slightly as he reached out and patted her on the shoulder.

Her expression turned more serious as he told her that even though he and Hellion did not get along he hoped that she was alright. Obviously for Nightraven’s sake. She was about to tell him that Hellion wasn’t as bad as he thought, but he had already flashed her another one of his genuine smiles before he turned and walked away down the corridor toward the bridge where he would meet with Starscream for his debriefing.

Nightraven let out a low sigh as she watched him disappear around the corner. She then turned in the other direction and made her way to the repair bay.

Repair Bay

The black and purple femme Seeker entered the repair bay and took a cursory look around. The Stunticons were there, each of them in various stages of repair. She scanned the rest of the bay and finally spotted the CR chambers where her sister had obviously been taken.
Nightraven moved past the berths of Drag Strip, Dead End and Breakdown as she moved to Hellion’s chamber.

Breakdown broke off his gaze on the floor and looked up as Nightraven made her way past him and the other Stunticons. He turned to get a better look as the Seeker moved on to the CR chambers. He had never seen her before, he wasn’t surprised either; all of the Seekers usually stayed knit in their own little groups; mostly in threes.

Breakdown cast his gaze back to his brothers a small smirk spreading over his faceplate.

“Wow.”

Dead End winced a little as the automated repair systems began the preliminary work on piecing together some of the more critical damage he had sustained to one of his knee joints.

"Someone's gunning for the function of 'aft polish specialist' I see," Dead End said after Drag Strip had urged them to hurry up with the little business of, oh, making sure they didn't completely fall apart the next time they found themselves surrounded by fuelthirsty Autobots.

"Bleh. I suppose this is workable," Dead End said, having used his own hand tools to expedite some of the repairs on his knee joint. Even though he had given Drag Strip a hard time, he still took his warning to spark. It was never wise to keep Motormaster waiting for anything.

He then looked up as something had caught Breakdown's attention. Dead End's optics followed her as she walked past, and then looked over to notice that the femme had had a similar effect on Breakdown. Seekers in general were already so perfectly designed it was gear-wrenching to look at them. Throw in the commodity of femme Seeker? Forget about it.

"'Wow' just about covers it," Dead End said, hopping off of the repair table and testing his, and the ship's, makeshift repair work.

When Razorclaw had indicated that he needed space to set about taking care of the political business that the Predacons as a whole were now embroiled in, Rampage instinctively responded, moving further away from the trio of commanders and accessing one of the bridge terminals.

"We will have prey soon," Rampage said quietly. "I can feel it."

Runabout sat there with a semi-dejected look on his face for he couldn't come to grips with why his usually quiet and more reserved brother was, all of a sudden, more aggressive and had taken more of a leadership role between the two of them, and it hurt Runabout's head trying to figure it out. But here he was, sitting on his aft plate in the med bay, surrounded by the Stunticons as they were getting patched up from the scrap in the oil refinery, and Runabout had to do the same, as Patchwork was apparently busy elsewhere.

Picking up a laser torch and utilising the automated repair berth, started his own repair process, beginning to close over the hole in his midsection and re protect his sensitive internals. Damn it hurt like the pit, as this was a crashcourse in repair, Runabout didn't bother in switching off his pain receptors. It was one of the factors that made him appear like an idiot, and it was this stupidity that made Runamuck wheel on him lately. However it didn't matter now because Runamuck was away elsewhere, and this left Runabout to his own devices.

'This hurts like a damned glitch!' Runabout thought to himself as the automated repair arms finished up on the hole in his abdomen. He threw the laser torch away as he gingerly pulled himself up from the repair table as he spoke to the Stunticons that were milling around in the Repair Bay - mostly Drag Strip.

"Hey Dragster!" The onyx battlecharger said "...You need a hand with anything? Runamuck's gone and ditched me here and..." He stopped and collected himself "...I feel like I need to give myself something to do, and not feel like a screw up most of the time!"

There was a bit of an awkward silence before the battlecharger spoke again.

"..So..where to Dragster?"

Ignoring the others in the bay, Nightraven quickly made her way next to her sister’s chamber. Her lips curled in a small smile as she took a look through the glass. It was only during these times, while Hellion was deep in recharge, or even stasis, that the berserker actually looked peaceful. It certainly was a welcome change for Nightraven. She often found it draining to keep Hellion reigned in all the time.

Nightraven let out a satisfied sigh as she ran her hand gently down the front of the chamber. Before she removed it her palm ran across something hard, something that she hadn’t expected to be on the front of her sister’s CR chamber.

Curious to know what it was, Nightraven carefully took hold of it and examined the device. Her optics brightened when she realized that is was a data slate. It seemed that one of the mechs had left the orange Seeker a note.

Knowing that Hellion wouldn’t react hostile toward her for examining its contents, Nightraven turned the slate on and read its contents. A small giggle escaped her as she ran through its contents more than once.

“Oh, Helly, you’re going to love this.”

The black and purple femme placed the slate carefully on a nearby table and took a seat in an available chair that she had drug to the side of Hellion’s chamber. As she waited patiently for the berserker to emerge from her repair chamber, Nightraven ran through what had been on the data slate several times in her processor.

"Hellion. Get better soon. Sorry to have met in those unfortunate circumstances. Contemptor"

Nightraven shook her head at the thought of anyone so suicidal that he’d even be remotely interested in her crazed sister. It was certainly rich.

Wildrider had followed his brothers back to the repair bay when their transwarp jump took place and the null field was initiated, and then all went dark. The next thing he knew, his systems had rebooted and he came back online. With a low groan, the terrorist rubbed the back of his cranial unit where it had hit the floor. There was small dent, but nothing Wildrider was remotely worried about.

He had risen to his feet and took up a position out of sight against a far wall. From his location came a crazed laugh that began to fill the entire repair bay. Wildrider nearly doubled over with laughter when he noticed the lights flicker back on. He cast his gaze over to his two teammates who were now seated on a couple of medial berths receiving their much needed repairs.

“Oh, Dead, you should have seen your face when you went offline! That was priceless! And Breakdown you probably lubricated yourself from the jump alone!”

Before he could continue to denigrate his comrades further he noticed the doors open and Drag Strip step inside. The former racer warned the group that they needed to get their repairs finished as soon as possible if they were to avoid Motormaster’s unshakable ire.

Had he ability, Wildrider would have swallowed hard at the announcement. As it was he simply let out a low chuckle and moved to another available medical berth and programmed the armatures to perform their repairs. The black Ferrari took a seat and let the apparatus go to work. In an attempt to annoy Breakdown, Wildrider cast his gaze on the white and blue mech, keeping it there in order to get an angry rise out of him.

Fortunately for Breakdown the terrorist’s attention was taken from the Lamborghini and placed on the pretty little creature that had just entered the bay. Without a word he simply watched as Nightraven breezed past them on her way to the CR chambers.

At Breakdown’s exclamation, Wildrider simply nodded and added a low, “You can say that again.”

Drag Strip tried to relax as the medical appendages continued working on replacing his damaged back plates. Whatever bit of pain he felt was slowly going away, not that it bothered him much anyway. He had endured far worse in past battles and even prior to the war when he was a champion racer. Drag had been in his fair share of crashes before he climbed to the top and became a #1 contender right next to the likes of Blurr. Some of those crashes had been pretty brutal, resulting in his spark needing to be temporarily extracted one time in order to repair the extensive damage his body had suffered. Perhaps that terrible memory was the real reason the yellow mech had reacted so badly when Hex had tried a similar, more permanent extraction. Regardless, neither experience was something he wanted to relive, not now, not ever.

At least I got my revenge, Drag Strip thought as another plate was welded into place on his back. He then overheard Dead End’s little verbal jab at him and felt the need to respond in kind. “At least I’m making myself useful, Dead. The lights are back on because of me, not you. All you could do is lie around the repair bay, waiting for the universe to end.” Drag’s remarks were then interrupted by Nightraven’s entrance and subsequent vigil at her sister’s CR chamber. The yellow mech kept his optics on her attractive form, letting out a heavy sigh before looking back over at his Stunticon brothers. “Damn, I really wish I was Skywarp right about now. Lucky prankster.”

Drag Strip’s attention was then drawn to one of the battlechargers, who was standing nearby and asking if he could help out with anything. “I don’t need a hand right at the moment, Runabout. The med berth has things pretty well situated with my repairs. Although, once my brothers and I are done getting fixed up, we could use your help with a little project if you’re interested.”

Corridor near Bridge

Skywarp approached the entrance to the bridge but was unable to enter due to the massive form of Motormaster blocking most of the doorway. The imposing Stunticon Commander was speaking with both Starscream and Razorclaw while the rest of the Predacons were positioned elsewhere in the room. I didn’t know the Preds were onboard. I wonder what they are doing here, the teleporter thought as he stopped just outside the open doors. He listened to some of what was being said, not wanting to interrupt the seemingly important conversation.

Skywarp waited patiently as those inside spoke about Shockwave and how best to deal with him. It also became apparent to the prankster that the ship was now underwater somewhere since Razorclaw had mentioned that the surrounding ocean would provide adequate protection from the cycloptic mech’s scans, at least for now. ‘Warp understood little of such things, which was probably why he made a better warrior than a field commander. Right now he just wanted to know what the next move was, especially for himself. He considered teleporting inside to get by Motormaster, but thought better of it. The black and purple seeker didn’t want to risk the Predacons overreacting and shooting him. Instead, Skywarp opened a private comm link to Starscream:

>>”Commander Starscream, this is Skywarp. Do you still need me on the bridge for that debriefing or is there some other task you want me to perform?”<<

There was a click and hiss from the CR chamber as at last its cycle was complete. The chamber door began to lift open, only to stop with a grinding noise. The chamber was silent for a moment before a string of curses could be heard from inside of it. The pod shook for a moment before a hand snaked out of the slight opening that the door had created. With a grunt from inside the chamber the hand pressed against the door. There was a brief grinding of gears as the door, likely damaged in all of the moving. Finally there was a crunch and the door slid open, allowing Hellion to step out.

“Slagging stupid chamber, thought I was going to have to blast my way out,” she muttered to herself. She took a quick glance around, noticing the rather wrecked appearance of the room. Finally her gaze settled on Nightraven. “Well, nice to see you waiting on ME this time. Hopefully that isn’t just because your boyfriend is already patched up,” she snickered. “And what the slag happened here? This place looks like a wreck.”

Slipstream had been content to simply get repaired and ditch these Decepticons the first chance she got. Things were just getting a little too hot here, and she wasn’t built to be thrown out into battle like she had been. This seeker was made for more subtle missions, or at least ones she could teleport into and out of quickly before getting shot up by some stupid tank.

Her plans were quickly wrecked when the order to abandon ship had been given. Slipstream had planned on grabbing as much energon as she could before bailing, but now she didn’t have much time. She was on her way to the fuel tanks when they had jump slammed the ship onto the planet, knocking her completely offline.

The seeker had awoken sometime later, her processor fuzzied and her mood sour. She couldn’t dare teleport out now not knowing where the ship had ended up. She was stuck for the time being, but it was a situation she would rectify as soon as possible. After all, she was capable of leaving this planet under her own power. There was no reason for her to get caught up in the brewing little civil war. There was nothing in it for her.

It was mostly out of a lack of anything else to do that she responded to Ramjet’s signal. She stepped into the room as the door slid shut behind her. “You wanted to see me Ramjet?” She put a pleasant tone into her voice even though she doubted the seeker had anything worthwhile to say.

From her position on her seat, Nightraven looked up to see the door to her sister’s chamber open, but it soon became evident that the device was not functioning properly. The noise coming from the door was ear piercing causing the black and purple femme to cringe. Her attention returned to the door once it grew silent. Knowing exactly what was to come next, Nightraven stood up and backed off a bit.

Even from her vantage point she could see Hellion’s hand snake out from the small opening, and with a heavy grunt her sister pressed the door open fully until finally revealing her orange form. The femme Seeker stepped out of the now defunct chamber with a low mutter.

Nightraven met her gaze with a slight smirk on her delicate face. It was a knowing look, something she was sure Hellion would notice. However, her smirk faded slightly when Hellion insinuated that she was only by her side because her “boyfriend” was already patched up. Nightraven let the comment slide as she took hold of the data slate in her hand and walked to her sister’s side.

“We’re still on board the Ultrax. It seems that Starscream ordered a transwarp jump. Everyone, and everything, went off line, but we all seemed to simply reboot, which leads me to believe that there was also a null field used, but as to why I’m not sure.”

Knightraven took a quick look around the repair bay and then back to Hellion. She offered her sister a small shrug.

“Actually, the place has always looked like this.”

Her smile returned to her face as she stepped in next to Hellion. She slowly brought up the data slate she had in her hand and showed it to her sister.

“I found this attached to your CR chamber. It would seem, Helly, as hard as it is to believe, that you have an admirer. But the best part, he didn’t leave it anonymous.”

She waved the slate in Hellion’s face in a teasing motion.

“This mech must have a death wish.”

Ramjet didn't have to wait long for the power to turn on, nor for Slipstream to fill the gap which Nightraven and Skywarp left. Thankfully, it took long enough for Ramjet to think about what he was going to say. He turned from the wall and took a step forward to Slipstream.

"Well, it seems that the doors open now. But that is only a feeble amount of why I asked you here. As you know, what is happening up there," Ramjet said as he pointed towards the bridge, "Is pure bureaucracy! All we have up there are a bunch of idiots! Starscream wants the power for himself, but he hides behind the mask of a leader. Motormaster would beat us into a pulp before the end of the Orn! Razorclaw is much too arrogant for anything to do with leadership beyond his own team!"

Ramjet walked over a few more steps and placed his hand on Slipstream's shoulder, taking a quick glance up and down her physique. In his opinion, he was doing the speech he started work on a few solar cycles ago rather well.

"None of them see the big picture," Ramjet said as he lowered his tone and hand off Slipstream's shoulder, "None of them can break through the fog and crush the Autobots once and for all. What I am proposing is something that must be taken in the utmost secrecy until the time is right. I know of none whom I trust more than you."

Ramjet took another quick glance up and down Slipstream's beautiful form again.

I can't get distracted... Keep focused. Ramjet thought as he continued on with his speech.

"What I am proposing is that we take the Decepticon Empire back. We need to break through the bureaucracy and 'pencil-pushers'. I alone will absolutely never gain the ear of those higher rank than I, so I suggest, if the situation deserves it, violent action. I can take the Empire back, but I cannot do this alone. I need a Second in Command." Ramjet said as he held out his hand in an effort for Slipstream to shake it, though his inner self wanted her to hold it.

"Are you in?"

Waspinator breathed a sigh of relief as the lights came back on. At least something good today. He doused the flame on his makeshift lantern and walked back to the desk just as Hellion walked out of her CR Chamber and asked what happened. Feeling that he needed to make himself at least a bit useful, he walked over to Hellion.

"Zztunti-Ship uzzed a Tranzzwarp into Planet!" Waspinator said with a flutter of his wings.

Suddenly, it dawned on him. This probably wasn't the best time to be talking, as most Decepticons are not too friendly when they got out of their CR Chambers... Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...

>>"Beat it Runamuck. Go bother Drag Strip."<<

It did not surprise Motormaster that Starscream quickly moved on in an attempt to establish at least some level of order to all this chaos. Order where the Air Commander was preferrably at least in somekind of charge. It was fine with the large Stunticon. He had no ambition to become the leader of the Decepticons. Having the freedom to operate the way he wanted without the pressure of leadership was more to his liking. The Decepticons had given him that. Thus, Motormaster had always had pretty good relationship with superior officers that allowed him his freedom and plenty of opportunities to inflict pain and suffering. Both Megatron and Starscream had given him rather free hands to deal with operations as he saw fit as long as the goal was reached - but not Shockwave. If there was somekind of agreement to make, Motormaster could agree with the others when it came to that walking calculator. He did not want to have anything to do with Shockwave. However, their means towards this goal left a lot to be desired for.

"So... we are one happy slaggin' family now, eh?" Motormaster scoffed after Starscream and Razorclaw finished talking. "All against Shockwave?"

"Yeah. That's fine with me." The large Stunticon grunted and crossed his arms. As he continued, a familiar glow of boiling anger building inside Motormaster became apparent in the Stunticon commander's optics. What he was going to say next was not exactly his most well thought idea but then again fear was a concept Motormaster was not too familiar with. He saw no reason to reply to Razorclaw in private. Instead his approach was as it had always been, brutal and direct. "Now... how the hell are Starscream and his Seekers different from your Predacons or my Stunticons?! We were all weapons wielded by Megatron. Instruments of destruction to be pointed at the target and unleashed! Scrapper and his Constructicons may have their uses but our peers they are not!"

Motormaster turned his gaze at no one in particular and fell silent for a moment, before suddenly slamming his fist hard against the door frame next to him. "The Razorclaw I knew played no fraggin' politics! He was a true follower of Megatron's tenets! It is all about power! The leadership of the Decepticons is to be taken! Not handed to a damned committee!"

"You want my support?!" Motormaster growled, his gaze moving from Razorclaw to Starscream and back. "Then settle this like real Decepticons! If one of you wants to lead, be it either of you two slaggers or Onslaught - fight for it and establish your supremacy over the other contenders for the throne!"

"There's no other way." The large Stunticon said with a scowl of disgust on his face. "I won't follow Shockwave. But if any of you slagheads continue to try to involve me in politics, I am going to start dropping heads. That is the way of cowards, the way of the weak. It is not the way of the Decepticons."

Of the other Decepticons present in the bridge, Headstrong and Tantrum seemed to agree with Motormaster. At least if the brief look accompanied by a nod they shared could be considered an indication of their opinion.

"Now, now...let us all calm down. I'm sure we can work an agreement on the current situation. We got to set up bases around the area. This can't be the only base for us to have. Commander Starscream, allow me and other decepticons of your choosing to help me set up bases."

Thrust does a quick bow before commander Starscream to gain his approval. With Motormaster on starscream side, it was perfect opportunity to gain both of their trust. However, Razorclaw will prove to be a problem as Thrust can already sense the tension between him and the other superior officers.

Razorclaw listened with an emotionless look on his faceplate as Motormaster laid it all out for him. The Stunticon Commander was blunt and to the point. He would not play politics with anyone, not Razorclaw, not Starscream. If one of them wanted to lead the Decepticon Empire forward, then they would have to take the throne by force. This was something the Predacon leader had wanted to avoid for fear of starting a civil war. Of course, sides were already being drawn with Shockwave and his supporters at one end and the rest on the other. The difference with those that stood against the cycloptic scientist was that they had no clear leader, unless one counted Starscream and Razorclaw certainly did not.

Still, perhaps Motormaster was right. Politics had never been the Decepticon way no more than it had been Razorclaw’s way. The Predacons were a force of nature, a force to be reckoned with. They were made as such not by chance but by Razorclaw, himself. He had fashioned the four of them into an elite fighting unit, arguably the best the Empire had to offer. Could Razorclaw not do the same for the Decepticons as a whole? The lion-former never thought of himself as a successor to Megatron mainly due to the fact that he never expected the slagmaker to cease functioning or in this case vanish without a trace. But, here he was now, facing that exact reality.

The Predacon Commander had a decision to make, possibly the most important one he would ever have to make that could very well decide the fate of the Decepticon Empire. He already had Onslaught’s support and if the Combaticon Commander had gained Scrapper’s loyalty then Razorclaw could count on the Constructicons, as well. All he needed was Motormaster’s, but that could only be achieved through force as the Stunticon leader was all but goading Razorclaw and Starscream into a fight right there on the bridge. Perhaps it was unavoidable, but at least a battle between two mechs was better than a civil war between many.

“Your words ring true to me, Motormaster,” Razorclaw finally said, turning his gaze from Starscream over to the Stunticon Commander. “I will admit, Megatron’s loss was a shock to me. Since hearing the news I have been so consumed with trying to avert a civil war that I immersed myself in something that I have always despised - politics!” The Predacon Commander then returned his optics to Starscream as he pulled out his sonic sword and began to power up his shoulder-mounted concussion cannons. “I would much rather avoid pointless infighting, but I will not follow Shockwave and I will also not follow you, Starscream. Thus, there is no other way. You will concede your command to me, or I will show you and everyone here what brutality I am capable of.”

Razorclaw spoke with power and conviction, finally making his move after waiting so long for just the right moment. This was that moment; it was now or never. The Predacon leader had both a size and strength advantage over Starscream, and his squad would make sure that the fight would be fair, keeping any other seekers like Thrust at bay. Hence, if the Seeker Commander saw fit to fight him, Razorclaw was confident he would come out the victor.

"Yeah yeah. keep polishing," Dead End said to Drag Strip, part of a smirk forming on his face before it quickly went back to its standard, dour neutrality.

Dead End was tempted to go back and fix a few more scratches and dents before heading off to complete Motormaster's grunt work. But he knew that if he went in to repairing every scratch and dent he had suffered at the hands of the Autobots down in that refinery, he'd probably be here for a whole orn, making sure everything was just right. And then he'd receive a beating from Motormaster which would undo all the work he had done getting himself presentable again. No thanks.

Hopping off the medical berth, Dead End cast a dismissive glare in Wildrider's direction.

"Yes, because we're all looking our best when we're in the throes of having our core systems shut down, you psycho. Ugh," he signed, looking back to see if Breakdown was ready to go.

"I'll meet you there. I've had my dose of delusional functioning for the time being," Dead End said before turning and walking out of the repair bay, en route to the hangar

Hellion didn’t exactly get all of the technical talk Nightraven told her with her answer. Apparently they had done some sort of wacky transwarp jump to…somewhere. She was still unclear on where they were. Hopefully it was somewhere with plenty of combat, although with her luck lately though they were probably in some distant, quiet corner of the galaxy. At least she was all fixed up from the last battle, of which she was having a hard time remembering. The berserker was used to that though. Between going berserk and the amount of damage she often took there were more then a few gaps in her memory files about battles.

The seeker was about to ask her sister some additional questions when she produced a data slate and began waving it around. A frown formed on Hellion’s face as Nightraven told her about the slate. “Gimme that!” she snarled as she snatched it from Nightraven’s hands. She stared at the display, reading it a couple of times, the frown on her face deepening. She looked up at Nightraven. “I don’t even know who the slag this is!”

Slipstream’s first thought was she should have left this planet a long time ago when she still had the chance. Her second thought upon hearing Ramjet’s proposal was that she was truly trapped on the wettest, most crazy Decepticon filled planet she had ever seen. For now though she would just have to make the best of it. Surely there was some way she could use Ramjet to her advantage, maybe.

The seeker placed her hand on Ramjet’s shoulder. “You are right Ramjet, they are all caught up in their own personal goals and squabbles to know what is good for the empire. It will take someone outside of the leadership to lead the Decepticons into the future, and I think you might be just that Con.” She didn’t know whether to be amused or disgusted at the lies she was spinning this time. A bit of both would probably be accurate.

She brought her hand back and clutched it at her chest. “Alas, I am not worthy of being a second in command. You would need someone stronger and more imposing as your second. I am afraid that I am neither of those Ramjet. What I am though is clever and sneaky. I offer you this; allow me to gather information for you as you pass information to me. I can help keep you one step ahead of everyone else. It will all be secret of course, for both our sakes, but you will have insider knowledge that no one else has access to. What do you say Ramjet?”

Breakdown physically fidgeted as the medical appendages nearly completed the repairs to his hands. The battle had proven painful for the Lamborghini. That spit-spawned pacifist, Groove, had proven to be anything but pacifistic. Breakdown grit his teeth as he reminisced on the whole ordeal. The next time he came across that damned motorcycle, he’d be sure to rip him limb from limb.

After a few moments a deep shiver ran down his spinal structure and Breakdown took a fleeting glance in Wildrider’s direction, but the terrorist had his optics focused solely on the form of the black and purple femme Seeker. He thanked Primus that he was not being scrutinized by his teammate, Breakdown let out a heavy, relieved sigh.

The medical apparatus just finished with his repairs when Breakdown hastily jumped off of the medical slab and quickly made his way to Dead End’s side.

At Dead End’s response to his goading, Wildrider let out a boisterous cackle. He never got the rise out of Breakdown he wanted, but at least Dead End had proved to be entertaining.

“Awww, did I hit a nerve receptor Dead? Slag, I’d give my left lug nut to see that look again! Come on Dead, let’s have it! HAHAHAHA!”

Breakdown cast his demented comrade a grating glare before his attention was brought back to the maroon Porsche.

“Drop dead, Wildrider!”

The white and blue scout watched as the look on the terrorist’s face melted from a wide grin into a deep frown. A satisfied smile made its way to Breakdown’s face, but it soon turned to surprise when Wildrider doubled over in hysterical laughter.

“Oh, Breakdown! You’re about as menacing as a baby petro rabbit! Say it again! Oh, slag that was fraggin’ rich!”

Breakdown let out a growl before he turned and followed after Dead End out of the Repair Bay and on to the hanger.

Nightraven was not at all surprised when Hellion snatched the data slate right out of her hand. In fact it brought a bright smile to her delicate face. At her sister’s exclamation, Nightraven let out a series of giggles.

“But wouldn’t you like to know?”

The black and purple Seeker took back the slate from Hellion and read through the message again, this time out loud. When she finished, Nightraven flashed Hellion a sweet smile.

“You know, I can get into the roster so you can do a bit of research on your little admirer. I don’t know about you, but I’m dying to see what this mech looks like. Come on.”

Nightraven didn’t wait for Hellion to counter as she gripped her sister’s upper arm and began to drag her out of the Repair Bay and toward the Bridge.

Drag Strip winched slightly once again as the medical appendages welded the last back panel into place. He finally relaxed as the pain subsided before hopping off the repair table and twisting his upper body at the waist area in order to stretch out his newly fixed back. The former racer felt a bit stiff but that was to be expected with brand new plating. Everything was properly moving and shifting into various positions as he rotated his torso from one side to the other. Nothing seemed out of whack and thus there was nothing to be concerned about.

Those machines did a pretty good job. Who knew? Drag Strip thought as he heard Dead End telling him to keep polishing. “Yeah, don’t worry, I will!” The yellow Stunticon shouted back as the doomsayer left the room for the hangar bay. Drag then glanced over at Breakdown and Wildrider as the two exchanged words of their own before the blue and white mech stormed out into the corridor right behind Dead End. The former racer chuckled at the emotional display before turning to face Runabout who was still mulling around nearby.

“Well, Runabout, looks like my comrades and I are ready to go,” Drag Strip said stoically. “If you want to help us with securing the energon that’s currently sitting down in the hangar bay, you and your missing brother are more than welcome to join us.” Once the offer was made, the yellow mech wasted no further time in the repair facility and quickly exited the room.

Corridors approaching Hangar Bay

Drag Strip had no sooner entered the hallway when he quickly transformed into his Dodge Viper mode and raced after Breakdown and Dead End. “See you guys down there, slow pokes!” The yellow Stunticon shouted as he zoomed by his compatriots and sped around a corner at the far end of the corridor, tires screeching as he went. Making his way swiftly though the frigate was no problem in his alt form. It would take a miracle for anyone to catch up to me, Drag thought as he adjusted his course and maneuvered around several service drones that were partially blocking his path.

“Out of the way, scraplets!” Drag Strip shouted, knocking one drone over as he passed by and grazing another. Before long his trip was over as he reached the hangar bay and transformed back into his robot mode. Punching in the appropriate codes, the former racer watched as the doors in front of him slid apart, revealing the hangar and the multiple stacks of glowing purple cubes within. “Wow, I didn’t realize there was so much,” Drag muttered to himself as he then opened a comm line to his three Stunticon brothers, as well as the Battlechargers, the latter of which may or may not be joining the party:

>>”Hey, fellas, you might want to hasten your step a bit. There’s more energon down here than expected that has to be moved into storage. Not to mention we still have to feed some of it into the ship’s power core. We certainly don’t want to keep Motormaster waiting on that, now do we?”<<

Once the comm line was closed, Drag Strip entered the hangar bay and grabbed a hold of a hover cart before moving it into position near one of the large piles of energon cubes. I hope those losers get here soon. I can’t do this all by myself, Drag thought as he picked up the first bundle of cubes and placed it on the cart.

Hellion glared at Nightraven. Had it been any other Decepticon she would have knocked their head clean off. Instead she simply clenched her fists and grimaced at her sibling as she had her fun. She had learned it was best to just let her get it out of her system, especially since she had been ribbing her about Skywarp lately. This would put them as somewhere closer to even, as long as she didn’t push it too far.

The seeker let out an annoyed sigh as her sister began to drag her out of the room. “I don’t think I care what he looks like. Why should I? What kind of con leaves a note like that on a CR chamber? Slag, I don’t even remember how I got there. Did we win the fight at least?” Despite her protests she did move along with her sister, resisting the temptation to pull away, for now. Hopefully she would get this all out of her system soon.

"I can't believe that psycho is still functional," Dead End murmured, with Breakdown at his side. To describe Wildrider as erratic would be to insult true erraticism. Most of the time, he truly operated in his own little world. Drag Strip, was only slightly more tolerable. Dead End could understand the pitfalls of ego much better than the ones of insanity. As Drag Strip had raced past them, the urge to transform and race down the corridors of the Ultrax after him was almost too tempting. It wouldn't be the first time they had all done it. For the time being though, he just wanted to see what they had really earned for all their trouble down there in that human wasteland.

Stepping through the doors in to the hangar bay, Dead End stopped cold, his optics brightening. Sweet slag. How long had it been since he had seen this much energon in one place?

He walked over to the piles of beautiful, iridescent pink cubes, running one of his hands gingerly across the top.

"I-I can't believe we got away with this much," he said, picking up one of the cubes. "No one will miss just one, right?"

He started to ingest the refreshing, pink fuel.

Bridge

No sooner had Razorclaw made his move than Rampage's optics had narrowed. He looked to the other Predacons. Starscream and Razorclaw's business was theirs. He had no intention of interfering. But that meant not allowing any of Starscream's Seeker cronies interfere, either, wherever they were.

One of them, fortunately, was right here.

Drawing his blade, Rampage moved in to a better position. If Thrust made a move, so too would the Predacon.

Runabout shrugged nonchalantly at Drag Strip's response, but brightened a bit at the mention of helping out in the hangarbay with the unloading of the freshly aquired energon cubes from the oil refinery in El Dorado. Why the slag not? After all, it just beat standing around rusting his aft off, and on the other hand, it was a chance for the black battlecharger to stick one to his twin.

"Yeah, why not Dragster" Runabout said as he grinned, closing over his faceplate finally "Be a chance to actually do something on this clunker of a ship of yours..."

Runabout watched as the yellow racer left the med bay and into the hallway, and before long he heard the revving of the racers engine as he shot off down towards the hangar. Runabout wasnt going to have any of that!

"Oh you slagging didn't!" Runabout growled as he ran out of the med bay and mid run he switched into his Ford Mustang alt mode and overgunned his engine as he took off after the yellow racer, switching to battlecharge mode, he revved up closing the gap between himself and Drag Strip, the high whine of his engine filling the hallway.

"Who the hell you callin a slow-poke?!"

Hangar Bay

Runabout pulled a handbrake turn into the hangar just at the rear of Drag Strip and transformed back to robot mode.

"Hah that was the best run ever! I almost caught you Dragster...any faster and..." Runabout stopped as he heard a voice from the corner of the hangar door and he almost felt his exauhst pipe fall out his aft-plate

"Yeah almost just dont cut it Runabout" Said Runamuck as he unfolded from the wall.

"How the slag did you get in here so fast?" Runabout said as his astonished look gave way to frustration

"Shaddap and start moving the damned energon Runabout, or someone will get pancaked!"

Runabout growled and went to help Drag Strip with the energon cubes, and yeah true to Drag Strip's audio description of the amount there, there was a large amount of energon cubes that were brought back from the refinery in el dorado.

"Hey Dragster..." Runabout said to the yellow racer "...Who'da thunk that all this came from one pitiful little maggot infested processor huh?"

Hanger Bay

Breakdown was still seething at Wildrider’s degrading comment. The white and blue Stunticon let out a grunt before a series of mumbles escaped his vocalizer.

Can’t believe that maniac. Less intimidating than a baby petro rabbit, huh? I’ll show him. Next time I see his aft he’ll be sorry.”

His musings concerning his own personal ire was broken when he and Dead End stepped inside the hanger where that most beautiful sight filled his optics – second most beautiful that is. Breakdown’s mouth hung open as he looked hungrily at the stock pile of energon that he had a part in collecting. What a sight to behold.

“Holy slag. Was that what we got? I’ve never seen anything so…so delicious in my life.”

His attention was still focused on the pink stockpile as he moved in unison with Dead End.

“If they won’t miss just one, they’d hardly miss two.”

Breakdown then greedily swiped the cube next to the one Dead End had taken. Tilting his head back he savored every drop of his team’s spoils.

Wildrider had followed behind Drag Strip and Runabout as they both left the Repair Bay. He didn’t, however, race toward their destination. After all, once he arrived he’d only be subject to moving a bunch of heavy equipment in order to secure the energon they had brought back.

Once he arrived and transformed, Wildrider was rewarded with a sight the terrorist had not seen in vorns.

“For slag’s sake! That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life.”

His face contorted into a deep sneer when he took in the sight of both Dead End and Breakdown partaking in the pink concoction.

“Step aside you lugnuts!”

Wildrider ran up to the pile and grabbed one and quickly gulped down its contents. Once he was finished he tossed the empty cube to the floor and swiped the cube Breakdown was nearly finished drinking.

“Hand it over loser!”

Corridors

Nightraven kept her hand wrapped around Hellion’s forearm as she continued to drag her reluctant sibling along through the corridors and up toward the bridge. The only terminal where she could access the entirety of the Decepticons involved in the Infiltration process was located up on the bridge. It was the same with just about all of the Decepticons’ ships.

Along the way to their final destination, Nightraven chuckled at the whole ordeal concerning her sister. It was a most amusing turn of events. For some time she has had to deal with Hellion’s non-stop ribbings about not only Skywarp but Thundercracker as well. This was going to be classic.

"Oh come on, Helly. And as far as the battle is concerned, it was a draw."

The smile plastered on her face turned into a deep frown when she rounded the final corner and spotted Skywarp skulking just outside of the bridge. Nightraven let go of Hellion’s arm and slowly made her way behind the Seeker. Her natural endowment for moving around silently was evident as her footfalls failed to gain the black and purple Seeker’s attention.

Carefully she placed her hand gently on Skywarp’s shoulder.

Skywarp? I thought you were going to be debriefed by Starscream. Why are you still out here?”

Unaware of just what was transpiring just beyond the mangled bridge doors, Nightraven pressed Skywarp further.

“What’s going on in there?”

The femme Seeker then tried to move past the teleporter in order to get inside.

Examining the situation right in front of him, Thrust began to get his weapons ready to sneak attack Razorclaw. This would tip the balance of the fight in favor of Starscream. While Razorclaw would be distracted, Starscream can come in with the sneak attack and hold leadership. However, the predacons were in this room and none other than Rampage was getting ready. More likely that he was going to stop him from interfering with the upcoming battle. Knowing that he won't ever fight Razorclaw one on one, but that won't mean the same for Rampage. Thrust carefully watches the situation unfold and makes sure to keep his optics on Rampage.

Waspinator's mandibles formed a frown when Hellion completely ignored him. But then again, when is he not being ignored? Waspinator sighed as he left the Medical Bay in the direction of Ten Forward, the best viewing lounge besides the Captain's Quarters.

Why did the world hate him so? Why does he have such bad luck? Was this all to his life, the meaningless destruction of himself for the joy of others? All of these questions were spinning in his mind like a spider spinning a web. Weaving its way through his cerebral circuits in order to catch any other thoughts that wanted to enter his mind.

Waspinator turned in the still dim corridors until he made it to Ten Forward.

Ten Forward

Waspinator sighed as he took a seat and looked out the bow and into the ark abyss. The abyss that was so dark, light could barely penetrate a small bit forward. The bleakness and barrenness of the surrounding area made him think about his life, and how much he hated being one of the foot soldiers on the battlefield.

What life would have been like if he had just taken the job to be a repairman...

Bounce Chamber

Ramjet felt a chill go up and down his spine when Slipstream placed a hand on his shoulder. Whether or not it was a chill of excitement or chill of frustration at her response was unknown to him, but he was more apt to believe the former.

"Hehe. I understand, Slipstream; You're too modest! You need to take up a little more responsibility than these goons are going to give you! The offer still stands, if you change your mind though," Ramjet said with a smile, "Now, Aerial Commander Slipstream, your first assignment is to recruit others from the idiocy of the old empire, and bring them to the light that is the new Empire!"

Ramjet began to walk away, but looked back to her and said, "Gather as many as you can. We need to make our presence known soon. But do not make it public, try to... Ehh... Keep under the radar for now. I will be in my quarters."

Ramjet smiled as he left the Bounce Chamber and made his way through the winding corridors to his Quarters.

Ramjet's Personal Quarters

Ramjet walked to the desk and computer where he sat down and began to look through the active duty roster. Once he selected the entire roster for Earth, he began to transfer it out on a tablet, where he picked the tablet up and began to look through the Decepticons on Earth.

Baneblade and Vindicator are with Shockwave...

Ramjet crossed their faces out on his tablet with a few strokes of his fingers.

Scrapper... Want. Combaticons...? Hm. I doubt they'll agree, but want.

Ramjet highlighted their names and he went back to his list.

Dirge, Thrust, Thundercracker, Octane, Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Waspinator, Battlechargers... Want. Meh on Waspinator.

He proceeded to mark each one with a circle. His roster for an army was growing, in his mind at least. Seeing that none others were actually stationed at Earth, Ramjet smiled with a crooked, evil smile. It was going to be a slaughter.

>>Slipstream. I have a roster on whom I want on our side. Try to convert as many as possible, please.<< Ramjet said over a communique with Slipstream, along with a copy of the roster. Hopefully, things would go as planned.

Bridge

Damn you Motormaster. Was all Starscream could think when he heard the large Stunticon begin talking, he had now forced the situation and it looked liked Starscream had few options, none of them terribly desirable. It was either fall in line, which would seriously undermine everything he had been working towards, or fight, and a fight right here and now was not in his best interest. Razorclaw had size and strength on his side, but Starscream had speed, though that was mitigated by the size of the room, he had little space to properly maneuver and his cluster bombs were of no use, given the small confines of the bridge one bomb would likely destroy this section of the ship and kill everyone inside it, himself included.

Though he could not submit, he could not go back to being a mere lieutenant to another misguided leader, and Razorclaw would be worse then Megatron. Starscream at least respected Megatron to some degree, he had a plan, experience and was working towards some goal, he just seemed to have lost sight of that goal at some point and was merely rampaging through the galaxy. Razorclaw on the other hand was not a war leader like Megatron, he was a predator, a hunter, someone used to being constantly on the prowl, always hunting for new prey. To lead the whole of the Empire the Predacon leader would have to remove himself from the hunt for a great deal of the time. He would have to sit back and let others do the hunting, and then listen to the reports that came in. Could such a predator lead an Empire? Starscream doubted it.

"Very well, if we must waste our time and resources on each other then perhaps it is best if we got this over with now." The Seeker commander said with his voice cold as he locked optics on Razorclaw. "Anyone can see the brutality you're capable of Razorclaw just be studying you, you are quite the hunter." Starscream continued with a calm and even voice as his arm cannons began to warm up and as he slid into a familiar battle stance. "The question is though will that brutality be enough? Can a predator used to stalking his prey in person lead an Empire and leave the hunting to others?"

Hangar Bay

The pink fuel was the most refreshing thing Dead End had ingested in a while. This was good stuff. High energon concentration. Maybe this planet wasn't entirely the slaghole he had originally figured it would be.

Crumpling the cube and tossing it aside, he looked over at Wildrider who now looked to be trying to establish some sort of false dominance over Breakdown, demanding his energon. This was what happened when Motormaster was not within arm's reach of their little crew.

"Hey nutjob, I'm not sure if your optics went offline, but there's a slaggin' stack of cubes right in front of you."

Hangar Bay

Drag Strip let out a sigh when his Stunticon teammates finally reached the hangar and began gulping down the energon instead of helping him load them into the hover cart. Interestingly enough, the only ones who had begun to assist him were the crazy Battlechargers with Runabout commenting on the amount of energon they were able to get from one fleshling refinery.

“Yes, we did get a lot, didn’t we,” Drag Strip responded as he loaded another pile of cubes into the container. “However, I think the seekers managed to procure some from their raid in the Iranian Desert if I’m not mistaken, so that could account for some of what's here.” Once the hover cart was filled to the brim, the former racer took hold of the handle and began pushing it towards the doorway.

“I’ll take this load down to the storage room,” Drag Strip stated as he looked back at the other Stunticons, who were still consuming their full of energon. “If you guys are done gorging yourselves, grab a few more carts and start filling them. We don’t have all cycle.” The yellow mech then exited the hangar and headed for the storage depot that was located just down the corridor.

Corridor outside Bridge

Skywarp watched and listened as carefully as he could to everything that was happening on the bridge. It was a standoff between Starscream and Razorclaw, the latter of which had now challenged the Seeker Commander and demanded that he surrender his leadership. The head Predacon had made a bold move, one that was backed up by the presence of his own squad of animalistic ‘Cons. However, the other Predacons seemed to be serving more as observers than participants, only intervening if one of Starscream’s supporters dared to interfere. Thrust was one such mech who was quickly kept at bay by Rampage. This fight, if there was to be one, would take place between Starscream and Razorclaw only.

Still, Skywarp felt as though he should do something to help, but what could he do? Teleporting inside the bridge to back up the Air Commander was one option, but it would be futile with so many other mechs already in the room. Not to mention he would be outnumbered by the Predacons. His teleportation would only save him for so long before one of the beasts got lucky and took him down. Besides, did Starscream really need his help? The Seeker Commander had already proven time and again that he was no weakling and was fully capable of taking care of himself.

But this is Razorclaw he’s facing, not just any mech like that idiot Ramjet, Skywarp thought just as Nightraven and Hellion walked up behind him. Nighty asked the prankster why he was still out in the hall when he was supposed to be getting debriefed by Starscream. She then tried to move by him and enter the bridge, but ‘Warp reached out and grabbed her forearm in order to stop Nightraven in her tracks.

“I wouldn’t go in there right now, Nighty,” Skywarp warned her as he gently tugged on the femme’s arm to pull her back towards him. “Razorclaw and his Predacons are in there. He’s challenged Starscream for control of the Decepticons, at least the ones not with Shockwave, anyway. I think they’re going to fight, but I’m not sure if I should do something to help Screamer or just stay out of everyone's way.” The teleporter peered back inside the bridge to see that both commanders were now powering up their weapons, a clear indication that the battle was about to begin. “What should I....I mean, what should we do?”

Bridge

Razorclaw had hoped to avoid a fight, but Starscream was refusing to relinquish his command and therefore was leaving the Predacon leader no choice but to battle his own kind. Well, that wasn’t entirely true. Starscream was a seeker, not a Predacon, and therefore was not the same. However, they were still both Decepticons who had fought under Megatron’s rule for thousands of vorns only to now find themselves at odds with one another under the most unlikely of circumstances.

Razorclaw then listened as Starscream conceded that a fight between them was unavoidable if not a waste of precious resources. But what the Seeker Commander said after that made his Predacon equivalent stop to think for a moment as Screamer took a typical battle stance while his arm cannons began to warm up. Could a mech like Razorclaw, who enjoyed stalking his prey and leading the hunt himself, now step aside and allow others to do so for him? It was a valid question and a great concern for the leader of the Predacons, but not one he had not already considered.

Starscream, you act as though Megatron never led an army on the battlefield,” Razorclaw responded to his adversary's query. “You should know better than anyone that the slagmaker personally led the Decepticons in many many battles against the Autobots. The latest of which has seemingly taken his very spark! As supreme leader, I will not remain behind as my troops fight the enemy. I will be right there with them in the heat of conflict just as I have always done with my Predacons. I am certainly no coward if that is what you were insinuating.” Razorclaw’s shoulder cannons were at full strength now, ready to be unleashed at their master’s command. “As for my brutality, you need not worry. I have much more than that to offer as you will soon realize.”

Without further delay, Razorclaw opened fire with his twin concussion cannons, aimed squarely at Starscream’s chestplate. With the limited space available to both warriors, as well as the number of mechs currently present on the bridge, the Predacon Commander knew that their battle would not consist of a firefight for very long. The risk of damaging the ship further, not to mention those around them, would likely not sit well with Motormaster. A close quarters, hand-to-hand combat situation was inevitable.

Therefore, Razorclaw immediately followed up his cannon attack by bringing his vibrating sonic sword to bear and swiftly lunging at the Seeker Commander before he had time to fully recover from the initial assault. With a battle cry that echoed throughout the bridge, the Predacon leader swung his blade down at Starscream, hoping to take him by surprise and disable at least one of his arm lasers and maybe even chop off a limb at the same time.
