The last time we saw all four of these names together in the same toyline (especially with the "Side Swipe" spelling instead of "Sideswipe") was in the 2001-2002 Robots in Disguise toyline. Coincidence? ;)

There's no way they could've lost "Sideswipe" (without the space) since they're using that spelling for the Kreo, Movie, and FoC characters. Wonder what they got planned for this "Side Swipe" (with the space). Armada redux?

Other guys are rather generic names.

Hmm, Armorhide and Rollbar were recolors of two of the Combaticons; can't help but wonder if yet another Bruticus repaint is in the works. If that's the case I really hope we get better names than "Movor" and "Ro-tor" for the other Commandos.

Thing is, the name "Ruination" is already being used for the Wreckers combiner (whose limb components are already colored, albeit very loosely, like the RiD Commandos).

Maybe. Rollbar was a G1 Throttlebot. Side Swipe (spelled WITH the space) was the autobot dork in armada:

Back to the names, CLASSICS TOW-LINE. BRAND NEW MOLD. Come on hasbro, you know you want to.

Well they already have Sideswipe for FoC, so I'm sure that the MP will be "Sideswipe" (note: one word) for the MP.

I can imagine there being a "Side Swipe" in Prime like the character from Armada (i.e. some generic Autobot, probably a dork).

The latter is likely related to the Orlando version of Transformers: The Ride.

What, you don't think Ro-tor is an awesome name? You don;'t hear kids crying that Movor wasn't in the live action movies?
In seriousness, those two and this Armorhide/Tow-Line/Grindor-type name scheme blows.

The Side_Swipe thing though has me hoping MP LAmbor gets the ol' domestic release.

So they own the rights to the name Transformers as a "brand" but they cant apply it to a "ride" without a new application ??? And people wonder why I say the whole trademark and copyright system is a load of crap.

One needs only study the history of things like the "copyright" of the Happy Birthday song to see just how large the crapload is.
