Just wanted to thank everyone for the conversation on this thread. There's been a lot of great insight that will come in handy in the future. I'm sure I'll be looking back and referencing this often. :APPLAUSE:

Back to the level 0 stuff, I have a couple of comments on these quotes from Ashin:

_Anshin_ wrote:Also at level 0 you get free CRs. Starting at level 1 you start paying for it.

_Anshin_ wrote:Trust me the boredom sucks, but if you figure your netting 100per round and each round is roughly 25 minutes (20 minutes for game time and a 5 minute buy in) you can earn 200-300 points an hour.

First off, when I do happen to come across a con here and there and I end up taking some damage, the CR does not appear to be free. Unless, it says it's charging me when it's actually not. When I enter the CR Chamber, there's always a price associated. I'll be paying more attention the next time I have to use it to see if it is actually charging me or not.

Second, because I'm spawning the majority of my missions, the time it takes is more like 40 to 45 minutes per mission, which in my opinion is really what's making it feel like a slog.

Thanks again everyone. Like I said, there's a ton of great information in here for the future and if nothing else, it's brought me deeper into the game.

I've decided that I'll probably wait until I can get at least one extra upgrade into level 1 before making the move. If this causes problems for my fellow bots because I get slagged to early in the missions, please accept my apologies in advance.

Okay, just had a look and it's not charging for CR. Seems it's just showing what the cost would be if it were charging.

I could be wrong, but I always thought it was free at level 0. Sorry its been a while and I made a few mistakes of leveling up all my bots at once one time and they were well beyond the cap.

The only thing you may be getting charged for is the automatic CR costs. But even then I am not certain with.

If you are bored in level 0 then come on it. The amount you will be slagged in is going to be negligible to what effect a majority of us at that level. We would much rather have you as an active member and participants in the boards and game than just as a quiet grinder that pops in every six months asking whats new.

Let me know when you have the level 1s and I will try deploying my guys to cover you in some of your missions.

Mind you, this is just a quick and dirty scan of AZ's recent missions.

What's kinda funny, one of those guys in multiple posts, is actually one of two who has armor.
Now, it's your turn again to tell to me why I'm wrong (seeing as you seem to think conversing with me is some sort of turn-based strategy game).

So, out of 60 missions, you produced 9. Ok. So, does this mean I should start keeping a running tally of everytime I out score you?

Just paying him in kind. This never started out as picking on a fellow Autobot, but AZ, for some reason, turned it into a pissing contest. I only give as good as I get, and at least I'm able to back myself up with facts and figures, while 'others' can only resort to ranting and name calling:

Kinda funny, since you're the one going out of the way to start things, I'm content to just stay on the board and ignore you, but you keep wanting to throw down. That's fine. I understand, you're upset that you lost your arguement, and all that, but, seriously, you need to grow up at some point.

*edit* So, I tried going through AD's list, but it's so boring. Seems like 2/3rds of his missions are against no one, or he out numbers people, though there were a few laughers. Especially when there's even a hint of a fair fight.

Like this one, which was my first mission of the day. Good Job Templar. Yes, you scored low for your level (by 1k), but you out scored AD.

Yeah, you do that: I think you'll be unpleasantly surprised. I did check most of your other 51 mission results, which were somewhat better but I can't recall you getting (m)any 5 digit scores. You're scoring a mean of around 3,000 xp a mission, which is LOW. And that including missions against N_V's level 8's, 9's and 10's (who your 'Bots weren't hitting, by the way). Top-scorer in all those missions? Not you, not even just amongst the Autobots. =;

What's funny is the way you're contradicting yourself in these very lines. Content to ignore me? You seem pretty eager to try to get my attention again with this post. And once again with the ranting: what's that all about? Still not seeing many facts here. By the way, you might need to spend some more hours at college: it's spelled 'argument'. #-o

Funny that you still can't back this up with actual mission logs. Just ranting something doesn't actually make it true. 8-} Yeah, perhaps winning is boring, especially when the missions you looked at were played at night / early morning in the US, which is where most HMW-players live. What can I say: get out of bed earlier! Yeah, it's boring to me too having no competition during my working hours, but as least I'm getting XP. Also funny that your criticizing me on something I can't even influence. You've run out of decent arguments, I guess... :BANG_HEAD:

Oh this one is a nice example... >:oP So Templar is some sort of hero in a 10 'Bots - 5 'Cons mission, with the 'Cons in play not just being heavily outnumbered but also being at much lower levels. Good for Templar! You must be SO proud :APPLAUSE:

Actually, through 66 deployments starting last night, I am currently averaging 3339.00 XP per deployment. Low for a team that's average level is level 6 (I should be averaging 6400). But, I was deploying mostly level 5s, which is actually spot on for them, since they should be hauling about 3200.

I'm not an English major, sue me. I'm sure you've made your fair share of mispellings. Hell, since a large portion of the board is English, I'm sure they could point out how we can't spell color or favor. But, you keep baiting me, I'll keep responding. Sadly, I am good troll bait. It's a horrible tendency of mine. As much as I want to ignore you, I can't help it. You call me out, I have to respond. Probably has something to do with my ancestors being Irish.

Winning empty missions is boring, I won't deploy if there aint any con's on. *shrugs* And... I'm pretty sure most of the HMW players don't live in the US, but I haven't seen a poll taken on that in while, cause there used to be a bunch from England (I think more than half the RDD was from there honestly) and of course, Burn is from Australia.

Nope, not proud. Just pointing out that he topped you. By your logic, since my team is so horrible and you're so much of a better player, I should -never- out score you. When I do, I feel sorry for you. But, eh, that's just the way the RNG rolls. But really, you need to sit back, and calm down. It's a game. If it's consumed your life that you need to try to control how other people play, then, you need to step back, take some time off, and enjoy some fresh air.

Thats it. Your both on a time out. No more fighting N_V for you. Forward me all of your Energon and go sit facing the corners, if you guys act up again somebody is going to have to watch Burn do interpretive dance while wearing a Panda suit.

Please, not Burn's interpretive dance! I promise to be good!

This has to be one of the most informative threads I've ever had the pleasure to read. Not just for the great info I can use for all my little level 0's, but the banter that goes on between all you veteran members. I remember my old account on here, long since lost between password and email changes. Only had about 350 posts (anyone remember Christron101? Crap name I know...). Hopefully I'll be more more productive this time round. :D Need a new sig as well. Hopefully my photoshopping skills that I didn't have last time should help with that.

Hey about 0 Blues... I've noticed that brand new bots have some sort of bonus advantage at level zero before they get their first point allocated. After they get their first point in whatever their average seems to go down. Is that by design or just a RND fluke? Does a similar thing happen on each consecutive level?

It's the RNG ****ing with you, it does that. A lot.

Wait a minute there. If the RNG gives a bonus to the newbies, could they not exploit that by not allocating any points until they have enough XP to level in one go? I suppose they would be disadvantaged by being less capable than other bots, but still, someone could have tried it maybe. Just my little thought.

Good point, I've already thought of that. ;) I have a level zero who put one point in, I just reset him and I'll try to see how he performs. I'm not sure if it will work or not because he is a reset not a virgin.
