MTV’s “The Seven” to Air Exclusive Behind the Scenes Footage Thursday, June 2 at 5pm ET/PT in Anticipation of Video Premiere on Friday, June 3; MTV’s “10 On Top” to Air Behind the Scenes footage from “Iridescent” Video Shoot Saturday, June 4 at 11:30AM ET
New York, NY (May 31, 2011) – With the upcoming release of the third installment in the Transformers series, Transformers: Dark of The Moon, Linkin Park will premiere their new music video, “Iridescent” – the lead single off the film’s soundtrack – Thursday, June 2 at 8pm ET on VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia, MTV Newtworks’ high definition channel. The never-before-seen music video will debut online on VH1.com and MTV.com June 2 beginning at 12pm ET.
Additionally, MTV’s “The Seven” will air exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot on Thursday, June 2nd at 5pm ET/PT in anticipation of the music video premiere on Friday. MTV’s “10 On Top” will also air behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot Saturday, June 4 at 11:30am ET/PT. MTV Hits, mtvU and MTV2 will all add the video into rotation following the VH1 premiere.
The band, longtime fans of the Transformers franchise, has provided songs for all three of the Transformers movies, including “What I’ve Done” and “New Divide.” "Iridescent" is the band’s latest song from the studio album, A Thousand Suns, which was released last year. The band is currently on a world tour promoting the album. Linkin Park will perform “Iridescent” in Moscow’s Red Square June 23 at the Transformers: Dark of The Moon premiere.

SWEET!!! It looks like they incorporated some, if not most, of the same elements in the production of this as they did for their "Waiting for the End" video. Also, and it may have just been my imagination, but it seemed to pick up tempo a little quicker than what the regular album version on A Thousand Suns did. I could be totally wrong and it may have just been my incredible excitement taking over.
I was skeptical at first as to whether this was going to be the right song for this new movie and now that I have LP's new album and have also read most of the TF3 Novel, there is not a doubt in my mind that Iridescent is a PERFECT fit for DotM! I'm so stoked to hear that the official release is coming out this soon.

so far loving the sound of the song. It sounds more... fast paced than the original version which is awesome! Looking forward for the whole video! LP never fails when it comes to delivering a great theme!

MTV has premiered the video for Linkin Park's "Iridescent". As you know it is featured in Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. It is chock full of Transformers imagery and the first ever sequence of Megatron's transformation. You can check out the video here.

That was awesome!!! I loved when Megatron transformed with that Assassin's Creed hood! Oh yeah!
Is it just me, or does this song sound like it's actually referring to the audience? When I first heard it, I thought they chose this song because Bay wanted "redemption" for making ROTF (which I don't think is necessary at all) so, the lyrics to the song say to take all the frustration and the sadness and let it go. And keep an open mind about DOTM, because it will be different. That's what I got from the song.

Thanks for the Credits and for putting a more "polished" presentation on the information. I guess I was still a little bit (o.k. a LOT) jazzed up about the release and was less than professional in how I brought the information across.

OMG just saw the video and i have to admit megatron's transformation looked badass the way he just pull the assassin looking hood over his head right after transforming.. and bee seemed very sad. is it me or did it look as if bee was punching a con in one part just before he looked up at something.

See? That IS a shotgun on Megatron's back! And he looks ready to kill! I like that he's not the typical, all mighty Megatron in this movie. He's more of an oppressed, in hiding bad guy. That is awesome.

The song is so good... but the eyes... oh the eyes... they really creep me out, and what's with the bulldog?
BTW, Megatron, Shockwave, and Sentinel moving CGI FTW!
*EDIT: If I ignore the creepy, washed out eyes, it's actually a really good video. Love the song BTW.
