But if you were bothered by MMC Bovis and Fortis original faves or Bovis not having red hooves, you are forced to buy Felisaber which is a pointless repaint/retool if you only care about Predaking and not pretender Catilla. While the repaint itself was not a double dip scam, not making the extra parts pack available alone for people who only wanted a traditional Predaking was kind of a low blow. It was more of an incentive that a bonus.

I'm not sure it's "more G1", but City Commander itself got a version 2 with a more easily removable face, shoulder missile launchers and (which makes this relevant) sculpting to allow them to be attached to their proper place in vehicle mode. Owners of V1 Magnus (like me) have to content ourselves with PE's backpack, which gives you this functionality.

At least we could buy the shoulder missiles separately, if I recall correctly. He's at home and I'm at work, but I'm pretty sure I was able to buy those missiles later.

If this is true (I have no idea) we should probably take him off the list yes?

That's not why I suggested him. Moulding changes allowed you to use the missiles in vehicle mode. It's a very small change, but it's there.
