I have a question regarding the official Maketoys Battle Tanker which was released a little while ago.

Now I still have mine mint and sealed in its packaging which I bought from TFSource before the problems with the head was highlighted.
I am aware that a replacement head was produced with instructions on how to fit etc.

What I am trying to find out is if I am still able to claim one of these heads and where from?
Do I contact TFSource with my old order number or go direct to Maketoys, also do I have to pay for it or was it a free replacement?

I know I am really late of the mark with this but I am finally looking at getting this great add-on set up with my RTS Prime.

Can anyone of you robot lovin' folk help?

I would start with TFcurse and see what they say.

I didn't order from TFSource, but I believe MT sent the replacement heads out to the retailers based on their order counts, and it was up to the retailer to get these out to customers. Thankfully, I didn't ship my Battle Tanker until AFTER the replacement heads came in, so it was a complete package for me. I agree with Kibble, contact TFSource first and let them know of the situation.

Replacement heads? Why? whats the problem? I never heard of a problem. I havnt bought it yet, but one day I will, no doubt.

The original head that came with the set required you to place it in hot water and then stick it on the Optimus mold. Several people complained, and some ball joints snapped at the neck. MT was very quick at releasing a 2nd version of the head that could be pulled apart, placed on Optimus, then screwed together. They also offered a replacement neck post for those who broke the original. I think they were offered in within a month of the Battle Tanker set being released.

Some people were successful in using the 1st head, I preferred using the 2nd.

Thanks for the info/help guys. I have fired off an email via MyTFSource on their website with my order number.

I mentioned the know fault and asked if they could email me with sorting the replacement head. They say 'give us 24hrs to respond' but still nothing back as yet?

I will post again as soon as they come back to me.

Well, still no reply from TFSource regarding the replacement Maketoys Battle Tanker head?
I would have hoped for an acknowledgement to my email, not just ignore it, unless of course of they are a little busy?

I will forward my same message again with additional notes and see how we go...

I ordered the original from BBTS and shipped it with my Pile of Loot in February 2012. They did not include the replacement head, nor was it mentioned at any point. (I've not yet assembled my Battle Tanker, since my RTS Laser Prime has been packed away for a while.)

I've just now sent them an email to see if they still have any of these replacement heads.

Hrm....my order, from BBTS way back when, included the head. I had it pre-ordered from the first time it appeared on the site. I'm trying to remember where it was packed. For some reason I think it was on a piece of cardboard separate from the box.

As I mentioned earlier, I had pre-ordered this add-on piece and waited a few weeks before shipping (yes, it was from BBTS). I just checked the shipping manifests, and the extra heads (I had two Battle Tankers) were not listed separately. They were in small plastic ziplock bags with instructions, not attached or inside the BT packaging. It's possible that these were shipped to people and simply overlooked and thrown away. All I can advocate is to contact WHOEVER it is you ordered from and let them know your situation. Start there before calling out MakeToy.

Robotmel, double check all your e-mail accounts to ensure that replies from TFSource are going where intended, and also check your spam folders. If you've done this already, do it again just to be sure.

Thanks Necro, checked n double checked but no missing emails or info from TFSource.
I am always very thorough when checking packaging even if I only ordered one item, you never know what you might find!
I have just sent another email to TFSource referencing my previous email from alomost a week ago, hoping the customer service dept will come back to me as soon as possible?

Interested to know if anyone else who ordered the Battle Tanker from TFSource received their replacement head from the initial early orders?

Did not ordered the Battle tanker but I always make a note of opening ALL third party items once i get them. I've made the mistake of leaving my TFC Heavy labor sealed until i get the rest of the figures and it was missing a hip joint that made it fall over when it stands. I gave in and opened it two months after i ordered it and had to Email Robotkingdom for a replacement piece. They were awesome enough to send me a replace piece within a week.

Ok, so TFSource came back to me, oddly enough, shortly after my last post!

They basically said they couldnt do anything to help as their stock ran out back in May/June and suggested I contact Maketoys direct to see if they could send out a replacement?

I am sure there must be a big bag of Optimus heads kicking around somewhere, one with my name on it!

Has anyone had any direct contact with Maketoys about anything regarding replacements parts?
