I have a question regarding the official Maketoys Battle Tanker which was released a little while ago.

Now I still have mine mint and sealed in its packaging which I bought from TFSource before the problems with the head was highlighted.
I am aware that a replacement head was produced with instructions on how to fit etc.

What I am trying to find out is if I am still able to claim one of these heads and where from? :???:
Do I contact TFSource with my old order number or go direct to Maketoys, also do I have to pay for it or was it a free replacement?

I know I am really late of the mark with this but I am finally looking at getting this great add-on set up with my RTS Prime.

Can anyone of you robot lovin' folk help? ;)

I didn't order from TFSource, but I believe MT sent the replacement heads out to the retailers based on their order counts, and it was up to the retailer to get these out to customers. Thankfully, I didn't ship my Battle Tanker until AFTER the replacement heads came in, so it was a complete package for me. I agree with Kibble, contact TFSource first and let them know of the situation.

Replacement heads? Why? whats the problem? I never heard of a problem. I havnt bought it yet, but one day I will, no doubt.

The original head that came with the set required you to place it in hot water and then stick it on the Optimus mold. Several people complained, and some ball joints snapped at the neck. MT was very quick at releasing a 2nd version of the head that could be pulled apart, placed on Optimus, then screwed together. They also offered a replacement neck post for those who broke the original. I think they were offered in within a month of the Battle Tanker set being released.

Some people were successful in using the 1st head, I preferred using the 2nd.

Thanks for the info/help guys. I have fired off an email via MyTFSource on their website with my order number.

I mentioned the know fault and asked if they could email me with sorting the replacement head. They say 'give us 24hrs to respond' but still nothing back as yet?

I will post again as soon as they come back to me. :BOT:

Well, still no reply from TFSource regarding the replacement Maketoys Battle Tanker head?
I would have hoped for an acknowledgement to my email, not just ignore it, unless of course of they are a little busy? :???:

I will forward my same message again with additional notes and see how we go...

I ordered the original from BBTS and shipped it with my Pile of Loot in February 2012. They did not include the replacement head, nor was it mentioned at any point. (I've not yet assembled my Battle Tanker, since my RTS Laser Prime has been packed away for a while.)

I've just now sent them an email to see if they still have any of these replacement heads.
