Plus alot of people will use the Magnus armor for the Combat Hero Prime which comes in a 4 pack with G2 Jazz and 2 legends figures. I actually like the KO better because it has blue wrists. Im not using the figure as Ultra Magnus. I already have KO DIA Commander.

have you received the KOs in hand? would like to see it. but the new head mold will get me to buy the Maketoys one.

what the hell are you guys talking about with the shadow scyther kit? It was a SMALL-TINY limited run thing which they released in SMALL amounts because even Fp have sense to understand that not everyone owns the Botcon Hotrod. Abit usless making a mass release item for an item that ISNT mass released - Its called business sense. Getting something casted and moulds etc even in china costs somert like 30000

The only reason ANY of us even have the shadow scyther KO is all down to CHMS for releasing the ko hotrod and the shadow scyther kit itself

I just dont see these selling well unless theres a KO of the botcon prime and magnus round the corner

That's pretty damn awesome. I'd be very tempted to replace my City Commander in my Classics collection with that thing given the right colours. Definite IDW Magnus potential too.

I was literally going to pull the trigger on the KO versions on both SG Prime and Magnus tomorrow when I got paid - I wouldn't have been mad if I had ordered them, but I'll definitely hold fire now - these look miles better, IMHO;

I just hope that these 2 Maketoys originals won't be that hard to get hold of, production- run wise; hopefully Maketoys will realise, like it was mentioned earlier in the thread, the numbers of botcon figs out there should guarantee big sales (even if half the owners of each fig bought one, which I could easily see happening...)

I know everyone wants a Scourge one already, but all we've seen of that fig is the painted prototype; we don't even know when that's due out, it makes sense that they'd wait for the fig to be released before finalising decos, etc -

Part of me thinks this is MT testing the waters with possible add ons for the done-deal Scourge TFCC version anyway.... Since that fig was announced, everyone has already said they'd buy the Scourge variant of BT as soon as it was available, even for figs owners that have bashed/repainted their own Scourge already....

I think I'm going to pick up the SG version and hope that a KO version of G2 Prime comes out. It's too wicked looking to pass up.

That SG Magnus may be exactly what I need...

To an extent I can see what you're saying, but considering how quickly the TFCC Scourge singles sold out on multiple online retailers (and an unknown number of folks who subscribed into getting all 6 figures including Scourge) I don't think it's something they would have to tiptoe with. The popularity of the character alone is enough to warrant a Scourge variant.

I'm sure it'll come eventually regardless. The only question now is going to be which set they use. The original or this remolded set and as much as I like those new shoulders... the original would hold truer to the RiD character. Kind of a tough call...

Damn that set makes me wish I had the Botcon Magnus.

why would maketoy make these trailer a limited run thing? thats just super-full-retard and would lose them ALOT and i mean ALOT of cash. Unless each trailer was going to cost US the buyer £150 EACH because of it being a limited run and if they only did 500 Pieces of each and did a deal with bbts or one of the others to be the only place you can order them from....thats still a GIANT loss for MT considering the price it costs to get these things moulded and casted and made in high quality plastic etc

i wont hold my breath on these things anyway. Ive learned my lesson with the city commander armour. I paid £90 for the original when it came out then £25 for the parallex Missile launcher and white gun then £8 for the reprolabels. If i had just waited i could have gotten the KO with the missile lauchers and gun and gotten the reprolabels for less than £50. That being said i did bite the bullet and get DIA commander when he came out but i do have the ko versions of shadow+SG+clear

I will just wait till chms does the ko versions of these new trailers. I doubt it would be that hard

see now vehicle mode looks bad ass for sg prime but looks wrong on magnus. Still looks awsome but will wait for the updated KO. Im sure since its just afew remoulded parts that chms will just release a Parts-Pack or something

i would love to buy the maketoys version...its just there asking alot for them

Because there is a limited number of of Botcon SG UM and PRIME?
what do you know about the cost? If MT will do it they will do it. if you want to wait for a KO then go ahead? but why would you even want these? are you also waiting for KO SG UM and PRIME?

Considering the mold is made and there's only a few small alterations, the profit will be higher than the first run because they don't have to reclaim the money they invested in developing it. They do still have to pay for the run, but that's not so bad. They can make a smaller run and still get a good amount of money off it.

I was wondering the same, and just preordered the Ultimate Gift Set from BBTS for the same reason . I would not have preordered it if I hadn't found out about this upgrade. I didn't get the first Battle Tanker set, but I'm down with this one.

Right now my KO's are awaiting shipping in China. I have a tracking number, so Im guessing I should have them in hand by early November. Ill post pics to help people decide if the new additions are worth the extra 50 bucks. But I wont have combat hero Prime for a while since Im not shipping my POL until December. Ill put up pics with the Botcon Ultra Magnus.

Pre-orders via Upgrade Commander will be up on October 29th.

Agreed, that looks very badass

They're both awesome! Maketoys just blew those recolored KO's out of the water. Maybe those other guys could just KO the botcon figures instead.
