Rated X wrote: Yeah maketoys is making a tiny metroplex called utopia. It looks good but its as small as the G1 toy so its really a stand alone piece if you care about cartoon scale like I do. I was always under the impression that scorponok, fort max, trypticon, and metroplex were all roughly the same size by G1 cartoon standards. I always hated that the G1 toy scorponok was so tiny compared to the G1 fort max. They are both supposed to be the same size so they can go head on like in the cartoon. Another G1 toy scale failure which is why I detest vintage toy scale and prefer the cartoon scale. I dont want to see the 3rd parties make the same mistake. Its true I dont care about cost. But wouldnt you agree Hasbroplex set the standard for city bots in classics scale ? There was a rumor Hasbro was going to retool metroplex into fort max, so the last thing we need is a shrunken scorponok repeating G1 toy scale all over again.
No,You are wrong on all accounts. Please at least attempt to try to do some research. Its not hard in this internet age. You now have free options of reading Wiki pages or watching older cartoons on you tube.
No, The city bots in Generation One Twenty Five plus years ago were not made in the same scale.
In the Marvel TF Comics Fortress Maximus and Scorponok were both drawn a tiny smidgen bit bigger than Average. There are comic issues showing Scorponok and Shockwave drawn in the same scale fighting each other. There is a issue that shows King Leader Grimlock and fort max drawn in the same scale fighting each other. Trypticon in issue #27 was the city bot drawn than the biggest in the comics. Metroplex was never in the US Marvel TF comics.
In the 1985 to 1987 Transformers cartoon series. Omega Supreme the first base city bot was shown the same scale as Devastator. Rebirth didn't have Metroplex or Trypticon in the Episodes scenes. The Japanese Headmasters cartoon series shows Fortress Maximus and Scorponok a much bigger Massive scale compared to Metroplex and Trypticon.
The 1985 to 1987 Transformers toy lines had all the city and base bots in different toy scales.
