Since this bad boy is coming with a new head for Battle Tanker, I wonder just how far away he is from a release?

I'd love to see the MakeToy guys do an Overlord!!

Wait, the replacement head doesn't come with The Fallen figure, right? The info just happened to come out at the same time...

I still haven't bit the bullet on Tanker yet but that Fallen looks increasingly sweet! It looks ready to stand next to Logos Prime on my God Shelf.

That's a quite awesome third party figure. I'm really diggin' Maketoy's. Does anyone know when they're starting to sell their Constructicon Sets? I'm all over those. That fact that I work construction makes their color scheme all the more appealing to me.

I'd rather they didn't. At least not quite so early in their run. They still have to work out the kinks and get the ball rolling some more. Their first real outing that isn't a upgrade is full blown combiner. And not just any ol' Computron or Abominus where they can get all stylistic to get some experience but Devastator. Real altmodes, defined characters, real beloved first season stuff. I'd like to see someone tackle the Stunticons and/or Predaking. Plus, we have some deluxe sized holes that need filling: Trailbreaker, Gears, Brawn, Skids, Blitzwing, Dinobots that aren't bland for the sake of a boring combiner, Shockwave that isn't a boat. And it wouldn't surprise me if iGear wasn't planning to cap it's Wreckers line with Overlord and then we'll have Herc v. Giant all over again (but at least that would be cheaper!)

It does to a certain degree but I do want the first edition of Battle Tanker. Did I read right that also included is a bonus weapon of some sort? I will bite and wait for the new head to go with the set no problem for me. I figured I waited this long for it I can wait a bit more...'nuff said!

I got the battle tanker the other day and I did the whole boiling head in the water thing and I got the head on all right, but when I tried to turn his head, it was so tight that it stressed the plastic to a point where I knew it was going to break off eventually. And sure enough it did. But luckily i had another RTS prime lying around and since the ball joint was stuck in the maketoy head, I had to drill it out. The second try, I just pushed on the head without boiling anything and it went on! Now i have a battle ready optimus prime and it's amazing. I think the drill may have opened up the head a little bit so that it didn't require any boiling water. After I put the head on the first time, I think I should've waited to try to turn his head. It was really tight. I will save my RTS prime without the head for when the replacement head is released. maybe i'll sell it on ebay with the maketoys head...

Now concerning this Fallen character. I noticed something that no one has mentioned yet. He is a parts former. which means, he breaks into pieces and forms up again to change forms. if you notice, on the right tank, his feet are attached to his formarms. You can see this by the PCC ports on his forarms in his bot mode, and notice the square empty space on his heels. The left tank is made up of his core, his back, and his thighs while the right tank is made up of his arms and his lower legs. His PCC ports in his bot mode will probably still be used to attache his guns like we've seen in previous pictures.

still... pretty sweet.

I wonder what that hinge on the treads are for...
