Marvel Universe Figures?

Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. I think the gambit is the same toy, but the head is certainly different.

Indeed he is. I have the Origins figure, but never opened it up.

It looks like the Comic 2-pack Deadpool figure that comes with Taskmaster is the
same as the Wolverine: Origins toy too.

Hey guys I just wanted to show some pics of these Iron Man toys I picked up at TJ Maxx today. I tend to buy off line marvel brands as extended MU toys, I had not seen these before and had to have them.

I really like the all gold paint on him. The repulsor shields look alive. Almost passed on him, glad I didn't.

All translucent and I love it. Gold paint wraps itself around this clear figure like a power harness.
Hell could cave in on him and he would still come out on top. :michaelbay:
There are holes on the back of the Inferno Armor that could support hoses or other various mods. I haven't had him long enough to really experiment with them.

A shot with War Machine, from the first series. (I did dig around for the
concept series War Machines but didn't find any :-(

Cool figures that you can use in your Marvel Universe lineup for added firepower. :D

I like those Iron Men. I was also at a TJ MAxx and I also buy off line figures that fit with regular line ones, and I probably buy most of the Iron Men that I see, and this TJ Maxx had a few figures in that packaging but none that looked appealing. Those two look neat though.

I did pick up a Captain America movie Hydra flamethrower trooper, the deluxe one with the two big forearm guns. His package labels him as "Dark Threat"......Not sure if I missed something that made him named thus, but what a terrific figure he is!
I'd been eyeing this guy in regular stores forevr, but couldn't pull the trigger for $15 for a $9 figure. I got him for $7 at TJ Maxx; absolutely worth it. The huge guns attach, so he still has regular forarms and hands for variance or display purposes.

The only CA figures I picked up because I knew MU probably wouldn't do them for a long time, at least, was the Red Skull and Crossbones. Neither of which I have opened. The Hydra troops are cool, but I don't have any, nor did I get the A.I.M scientist figure, but I'll be real sorry if they ever do a M.O.D.O.K..

I knew TJMAXX was good for finding Transformers sometimes, but I'm gonna check them more often now.
They also had Subterranean Armor IM which I almost got too, but left him there.

Also, the Inferno Armor weapon fits on movie Jazz's lance :KREMZEEK:

Looks like I'll have to head over to TJ Maxx again. They usually have good prices on Hasbro stuff I've missed out on.

Anyway, I just saw The Amazing Spider-Man and I loved it, so of course that means I must buy the action figures from the movie...except there really are none. Every Spider-Man in the main action figure line is of the "comic series." There seems to be no "movie series" this time, even though the action figures are promoting a movie. I was hoping to get the new Spider-Man and Lizard at Target or Walmart, but all I saw were the comic book-style action figures. I looked on the Internet and it seems there aren't any real movie characters being released. Really? Come on! Hasbro releases plenty of comic-style characters already. How many more do we need?

They have produced movie styled Lizard

As for Spider-Man himself, there is so much of him to choose from.

I haven't seen the movie, other than those two, who do you want figures for?

I wouldn't mind a Dr Conners in his human form actually.

Also I like the added articulation on the new Spider-Man toys. I have a hard time putting Venom with my MU figs cause he can't bend at the knees.

It wasn't until after I posted that I found that Lizard pic, as well as some other movie Spider-Man figures.
This seems to be the only one in exact movie colors we're getting in the 3.75 inch series.
Image
This one has the right design, except the spider symbol is silver.
Image
Here's another version of Lizard.
Image
There are going to be movie series 6 inch figures later on like they did for Iron Man 2, but right now toys are getting too expensive to buy as a hobby, so I dunno. I've been cutting way down on buying on impulse on things like Hot Wheels, Marvel movie characters, and Transformers.
I would also like to see Dr. Connors as a figure as well as Peter Parker, maybe even Captain Stacy, but what kid wants the plain humans? That's why Avatar succeeded as a movie but ended up on clearance racks quickly in the merchandising area. Too many boring humans. I doubt there will be more of the cast released. Just like Captain America was low on actual movie figures.
And yes, there is plenty of Spider-Man, but mainstream superheroes like him become redundant as toys. How many versions do you need? Most are pretty similar aside from the accessories and paint. Batman, Superman, and now Iron Man have all been culprits of toy redundancy. I could almost beat myself up over all the Supermen I've bought who were all basically the same.
By the way, do yourself a favor and go see the movie. It's amazing.

I think the thing with all the Spider-Man variations is to keep things fresh.
So the single figure available with screen accuracy is fine for me.
You can always buy the regular version and then the others are just for fun.
I've been thinking about the zip line figure myself, and stop myself every time I pass by the invisi-skin Lizard.

The humans, like Aunt May might seem boring, but others may want them, just to have something like an Aunt May or JJJ figure. I passed on the Mary Jane MU fig, boy was that a stupid move.
