Its getting pretty disapointing to hear about the QC problems of MP-12 Lambor/Sideswipe.

Come on takara, whats all this about? :-(

I have finally got some up-close pictures of my faulty version which I bought via China based Ebay seller 366offer.

I have posted a few below for you guys to take a look at, just to be sure I am right in saying his torso has been pinned the wrong way around to his waist which stops his transformation? :???:

: This image seems to show the two-part torso piece pinned in the wrong way?

: Being the wrong way, the first part cant fold down, allowing the second part to fold back?

: These next 3 images show the upper part of the torso hinge which should be the other way around.

: Head split and weeping glued application

The seller has told me they will forward the photos on to their warehouse for examination? :-?

I see a couple of screws, could you take it apart and reassemble correctly? I wonder if this is a common defect. I got my shipping confirmation, guess I'll find out next week :/

Just ordered mine from http://www.hlj.com/product/tkt45997. When I placed my order, the page stated "low stock" and the price was ¥4,640. I apparently got the last one they had in stock because after I checked my confirmation e-mail, it went to "discontinued" and the price went up to ¥5,800. I hope there will be no problems with the quality of my MP Sideswipe.

Yep, there are two screws which connect his butt! Unscrewing them should let you access the hinge which can hopefully pop out and turn around?

This is only a third of the problem as the pinned torso would also need turning around! Its that whole central part which is completely the wrong way around!! :sad:

The head aint looking too clever either! :shock:

Question: Did you get one mint in box? I'm wondering if you got a factory reject, i.e. one that didn't pass QA.

No box, just wrapped! Im sure Takara wouldnt allow this through QC, no way!

I hope the seller comes back to me soon with a resolve. :???:

I'm sorry to say that I think you've been taken for a ride. If you payed with PayPal it may be better to file a complaint through them.

So I received word back from the Ebay seller who have sent on the photos to their warehouse?
They have offered me a part refund or to return the figure for a full refund.

I really dont like the idea of trying to return Lambor all the way back to China? I was more than worried whilst waiting for him to arrive as the provided tracking number didnt work!
The idea of a partial refund sounds more appealing but that still leaves me with a Transformer which cant transform!
Its that bloody torso pin! I just dont feel confident in knocking it out!! :-?

This pin seems to be just over an inch in length?
Anyone had much experience with successful pin removal/replacing from their Transformers (looking at you Seibs)? :???:
