orangeitis wrote:Of course the molds are theirs to do what they want with them. But what I'm saying is, given the evidence laid out, they're just doing repaints of what the G1 molds had. And if in the very unlikely event that they do have a Classics-logic repaint, which IS possible no matter how unlikely, it would change the theme that they themselves had for the MP line in the first place.breakdown99 wrote:orangeitis wrote:That's Classics/Universe/Generations repaint logic, not Masterpiece repaint logic. The MP line is made to be G1-accurate. G1 Breakdown was never a repaint of Sideswipe, thus he has zero chance of being one in the MP line unless the dynamic of the MP line changes.breakdown99 wrote:orangeitis wrote:Mot to mention that G1 Sideswipe, y'know... don't have a limb mode.Trikeboy wrote:I would not want a Breakdown toy from this mould. His bit mode is completely different. Masterpiece is about G1 accuracy. Breakdown doesn't look anything like Sideswipe....I give up.breakdown99 wrote:Don't forget my namesake and his G2 version. Maybe even a Punch/Counterpunch? (obviously modifications will up the price). Wow, he could even top Starscream in MP repaint stakes.
Any other Lambo's in Transformerland? I'm sure there was a Lambo micromaster somewhere...
It's a Lamborghini. If it even remotely resembles said Countach, then there's a chance that they might repaint it into whatever figure. Hence the theoretical suggestions. What's wrong with that? If they do or not, that' up to the boffins at Has/Tak. But it's always fun to throw ideas around.
If nonsensical repaints come out, it'll be a dynamic change for the MP line - it won't be what it once was. If you can't understand that, I'm not sure what else to say.
(*waits for someone to point out the back repaint and white repaint of MP-1*)
You beat me to itI'm just going to put on the old G1 episode where Black Rodimus and Ironhide save Carly...
On a serious note, i wasn't aware of the MP line being painted in a say "ehobby" logic as opposed to a "classics" colour schemes, thanks for pointing that out. But like i said, the mold is there for them to do whatever they want with it.
Was there a black repaint of vintage G1 Optimus? Yes. A white repaint named Magnus? Yes. A black Hot Rod repaint? Yes(though chest colors are different). A Breakdown repaint of the vintage Sideswipe mold? No.
Non-G1 versions of the molds are very very unlikely.

Two hours in the morning before I go to work ... eight hours during the day at work ... all the time in the car ... some times at night after work ... many hours on the weekends when i'm home and there's nothing to watch on tv.
Plus the proliferation of digital radio and internet radio ... there's definitely someone out there listening to it!

We could potentially get anything in the MP line. I'm just pointing out how painfully unlikely some of it is.breakdown99 wrote:Then would it be safe to assume that we could potentially get Masterpiece repaints of the following?
