I see I picked a fine and dandy time to be......POOR!

So far, no sign of him in any of the stores in the Lima area...and none of them seem to have the UPC in their systems yet, either.

Lord, I want this toy BAD...

It's around $50

Yeah I noticed you have him on the stand as with my MP Starscream

The picture of him standing gots me scratching my head because I can't get mine to stand on it's own

I just called a third Wal-Mart. The guy said "Even though it shows up as not on file, that doesn't mean we don't have any. We could have an entire case full of them sitting on the shelves, but if no one filed or scanned them in, we can't see them on the Telzone. The best chance of finding this item is to actually come to the store, check the shelves and then have them check it again, in person. Sooner or later, you'll find it."

This is not the first time I've heard of unscanned items hitting the shelves. So this sounds like good news people.

I was at my local Wal-Mart last night and didn't see him, nor a price tag, nor any space to put him. I'm gonna check another Wal-Mart that's by my job to see if they have any.

That is one beautiful looking Starscream, the colours are exactly what they should have been to begin with. Hope he gets released here in the UK.
What's the good and bad on him? Anything different, beyond the colours, from the Takara version?

Just checked mine. It did come up in the Telzone but said 0 in stock, 0 in warehouse, 0 on order.

I was just there yesterday and they had nothing. I hope this means they didn't put them out, then sell them all in the few hours between my visits.

edit: i called another Wal-Mart and they checked all the stores within 100 miles of me (at least that's what she said she did) and none of them had it. She said "it looks like we don't carry this anymore."

I told her it was a Wal-Mart exclusive that was supposed to come out in Novemeber then she said "Oh, well then we must just not have it in yet."

Take that for what its worth.

I called both local stores. The first said the UPC wasn't in their system. The other store did have it in their system, but none in stock and no info on when it will be arriving.

Me thinks that is what happened. What was the official release date supposed to have been?

I'm thinking he looks quite nice better than I was expecting, but I didn't find one today, so I'll have to wait to have first hand knowledge of this.

That is one beautiful piece of engineering, I have mine pre-ordered at almost twice the price – but since I doubt I’ll be setting foot in a States-side Wal-Mart anytime soon, I sleep better at night knowing there’s one out there with my name already on it.

But ick…the black hinges on the wings… They couldn’t have used off-white plastic?

I believe this is about the right timeframe for him. All of the estimates that I've seen for him said that he'd be out sometime in October or November.

Well the two Wally worlds I went to this morning have the upc #'s in computer and both have 43 on order, just dont know when they will be getting them. Maybe in 2-4 weeks.

EDIT: Just called two Wal-Marts, gave them the UPC, his info came up correctly. Then...here came the bombshell. "He's a non replenishable item. We cannot order more, there are none in the warehouse, none in transit and none in the store. Meaning we got them in and sold out. I'm sorry." I told them both that it was a Wal-Mart exclusive and the one said "Well then that explains why we don't have anymore. We ordered exclusive items in low numbers this year so we wouldn't be overstocked as bad. First come, first serve, anyone who misses out is stuck. Sorry."

I'm wondering if this is all true or not...I'm hoping she's wrong, because if she's right...a lot of people are SCREWED.

Sounds like a misinformed employee..OR they're making false conclusions on the scenario. Being in retail, what she found could be read this way also... The UPC is in the system ready for processing BUT nothing has reached the distribution center or wharehouse yet. None have been ordered because there is nothing to order from yet.

Dont get down in the dumps yet...Look at it this way, dont you think if a bunch of guys/gals in your area snagged a bunch of MP SS from the local Walmart AT LEAST one of them wouldve posted somewhere to inform or brag???

I put my money on Walmart employee not knowing what they're talking about...that sounds more logical than TF fan not informing or bragging

Hey guys... does anyone know the differance between the hasbro release and the takara release? Is it the battle damage black stuff on the tips of the gun and wings?

Not surprised that he showed up there, as there are walmart distribution centers in the area and in Texas, if I am not mistaken (which I usually am , so feel free to correct me).

Although it usually takes about a month from first sighting of anything until the time it hits my area, so I'm still looking at late November early December. What a great time to shop .


Although I was pleased to see the 48.88 price, I have 65 bucks set aside, so I get some left over for other TF goodies.

Or to set aside for Animated/Universe, hummmmmm

I would have to agree with the Wal-Mart associate being incorrect. My wife was told the same thing when we asked about the Robot Heroes exclusive 5-pack. After 3 days of hassling people in toys we finally got some nice associate to go in the back and get us 1 of them. However, that doesn't mean your store has them yet. I work at the wm home office in systems and have been waiting a while for this item to start showing up in stores. I checked yesterday and there are quite a few on order (like thousands) so probably by mid-november you should be seeing them everywhere. There are three stores around here that have them, but only one of the stores stocked the shelf with them, but that's an entirely different prolbem altogether. At any rate, don't give up hope.
