Not trolling, just saying its something to consider. I know the price point points to MP, but thats only a tenner more than leaders retailed at during HFTD and that mould was considered an MP by Takara.....

Just saying'....

If this were to be the case I would have saved myself £60. No biggy.

Honestly, I’m a little surprised by all the enthusiasm for Masterpiece Transformers (especially ones produced by Hasbro) given their general flimsiness.

I would much prefer a HFTD TC, as unlikely as that is.

If by HFTD you mean Hunt For The Decepticons, then yes that is very unlikely as that line is long dead. However if you want a deluxe TC, well the Generations one was just in stores last year.

I was actually referring to Pretender Skywarp's (albeit wild) speculation that it could well be a TC repaint of the HFTD Leader class Starscream similar to the Asian exclusive we have recently had a peek of.

Also,Generations TC was certainly nifty, heres hoping one day we get a Sunstorm to keep Acidstorm company.

Ah, I gotcha. Didn't even occur to me you was refering to Leader Movie Starscream.

I am actually pleased that a MP Thundercracker might be coming to a TRU near me. Thundercracker is actually my favorite seeker. I hope it is a G1 style though. I am not interested if it's an HFTD Movie mould.

I am sure we will know more details soon.

If it turns out to be G1 style, it's a buy for me.

how great of a difference is it between the old MP mold and the new one? If TC is new mold -he's not gonna look drastically different in jet mode against SS and warp is he??

Rated X wrote:Looking good. I have this one [Skywarp] and I look foward to finally getting Thundercracker. I wish somebody would make a conversion kit that allows you to change the hips/legs into the new mold. Im sure a new waist piece without the ball joints could be made in each seekers respective color. Then you could just clip the jet kibble to the legs where it belongs.

I feel this release will be the G1 deco of Masterpiece Thundercracker and not a HFTD Movie Starscream repaint as suggested in a previous post. I would base that on the listing including 'Masterpiece' not 'Leader' in its title? :-?

I was keen to pick up one of the iGear seekers, G1 coloured Starscream in fact as he is a financial viability at around £70 delivered in to the UK. I already own the fist Starscream version MP-03 but a G1 deco would be great as I missed the Hasbro/WalMart Exclusive.

Is the iGear mold smaller than the Hasbro/Takara mold?
I wouldnt mind having a mix & match of different Seeker Masterpiece Editions.

Our faithful flying buddies may be cut from similiar cloth but are stitched together whole different ways!

As reported in an alternate thread, the UK Toys R Us Exclusive release of Transformers Masterpiece Thundercracker has been cancelled!

Via a PM from El Duque, I was alerted to this via the TFW2005 forums, but there seemed to be a slight lack of solid confirmation.

Having placed a pre-order via my local Toys R Us store I thought it best I contact them for clarification.
The manager contacted head office who confirmed they had 'cancelled any expected deliveries' as of yesterday of the U.K. exclusive.
This was due to 'the line being discontinued' but he did confirm 'it would still be made available to the U.S. market' !

So once again Hasbro U.K. continue to withhold the love... :-(

What line would that be, specifically?

Masterpiece?

We have some unfortunate news for our friends in the UK, it appears the Toys"R"Us Masterpiece Thundercracker has been canceled. Last month Seibertron.com member robotmel had reported that he had managed to pre-order the figure through one of his local Toys"R"Us stores. After checking the status of said pre-order he discovered the figure has been canceled for the UK, although it does appear it's still scheduled for the US.

That was their words exactly, but I believe it only refers to the U.K. release of the Masterpiece Thundercracker.

There was debate as to whether this was going to use the older mold used with the first few releases of the Masterpiece Seekers or the newer remolded version.
Despite the alleged U.S. release, I wonder if they knocked it on the head with the U.K. release with a eye to releasing something a little better!
Bring on the Masterpiece Optimus Prime 2.0!!

Well, that's a shame. I wonder if we'll hear anything about it at SDCC. If not, maybe it was just a mistake by TRU UK...

Hasbro has developed a reputation for cancelling Thundercracker. If it's availble in the US, Im sure those who want it bad enough will buy it on e-bay. Even though I stopped collecting masterpiece, I would like to complete the trio.

So I popped into my local branch of Toys 'R' Us to enquire about the availablility of Transformers Masterpiece Thundercracker (again)!

The shift Manager remembered me from way back when I started this thread which I was surprised about!
He had a dig about and confirmed... absolutely nothing! :-x

Nothing on Thundercracker. Nothing on Optimus Prime v2.0. Nowt!

In other news, I have just won myself a loose Transformers Masterpiece Thundercracker (v2.0) from a friendly US based Ebay seller for £44 shipped!

I'd be willing to pick MP TC up for someone in the UK for price if they need it, ($75 + $6.56 sales tax) + shipping + whatever tracking or insurance they'd want on it. Just let me know & PM me. Although, I think international tracking can be pricey.
