I find it interesting that they are roughly scout sized in bot mode, but almost deluxe size in alt mode.
Seriously, these guys rock! And it bugs me that I don't know why I feel that way.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to confirm the rumors that the Techno Toon Titans line will not be going forward at this point. We are aware that this may be seen as premature, but history has shown that day one preorders are a significant indicator of how a product will sell, and even after two days we are not anywhere close to the benchmarks needed to move forward with production.
We strongly believe in this project, and hope that one day we can find a market to support creative efforts that stray from the G1-era of characters and designs, but it seems like today is not that day. There is a possibility that, much like Gauntlet, this project will see a resurrection at a later date, but for now it is indefinitely on hold.
Re: Gauntlet, more information should be forthcoming this weekend.
Thank you to all who supported this project. The time simply seems to have not been right for it, and we will move forward with further projects that we hope will appeal to the fanbase.
Okay, I don't know the whole story behind what exactly went down behind the scenes on this, and I think the announcement likely could have been worded better, but Mech Ideas, while certainly having some say in it, wasn't the driving force behind pulling the pre-orders, and there is still some hope left. My best advice in this situation would be to set aside about 3/4s of what the original pre-order price was and wait a month.
Guys, thanks for all the support. I'm literally gutted, I put a lot of time and effort into this range.
I want people to know, the buck stops with me. I decided on the initial choice of characters, I had the final say on the size / scale, and I was responsible for marketing for the most part.
I only knew these were going to pre-order the day it happened and I spent most of the following two days online promoting it, putting in a lot of hours. Often times I promoted online and linked Daim Choc to the images, knowing full well he would post them straight here, so please don't think the images posted on FB were for no reason. Heck, even DJW tweeted about this yesterday.
Please don't be too angry at Mech iDeas, between them and the MMC crew who helped tool these, they've been responsible for some of the best figures on the market including the Hearts of Steel range, so they have been committed to producing more than just "gee-wun" figures to the market. If you feel the need to be mad at someone, be mad at me.
The intention was small figures from the same basic mold, low part count, low cost = great chance to test the market, but we kept going back to tweak the design using fan input and suggestions and it pushed the price over the magic $45-50 price point we were aiming for. Our desire to give you the BEST product seems to have back-fired.
Again, I'm really sorry. I'm taking a personal day as the girlfriend is having spinal surgery this week and we have a lot of planning to do, but I will be back online for the weekend. Very sorry guys. This is crushing me.

Just to reiterate, the Mech iDeas TTT line is currently on hold while we look into other ways to bring them to market, our first choice of retailer hasn't worked out but we will endeavor to find another way to get these to market.
This isn't the first time this has happened with a 3P company and I'm sure it won't be the last, things change in business on a daily basis. But I would like to point out the companies I work with have a proven track record of bringing the more obscure characters to existence as well as the popular, and out commitment to this hasn't changed.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all our fans, I do not believe this is the fault of Big Bad Toy Store, Mech iDeas or anyone other than myself and I accept full responsibility for any marketing decisions or design choices I was involved in.
Ultimately, I was involved from the inception of this line, the choice of character and the scale, and I can only assume these choices were to blame for the poor first day pre-order sales, as I have been assured this is standard practice in the toy industry for a niche product.
Once again, please accept my apologies, and I will do everything I can to get Bluster and Trench to market.

and much cheaper ($50 for the set). wonder why MMC's store didn't just carry these from the beginning.
