Paramount just sent us an email with news about the last actor to join the cast of the upcoming Transformers 4 film, which will be released in Summer 2014. According to IMDB.com, Jack's filmography includes The Delivery Man, Cold, What Richard Did, Chasing Leprechauns (TV movie), Dollhouse, Stella (short), Three Wise Women (TV movie), and Country.

Michael Bay wrote:I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal.

Transformers 4, is not a reboot. That word has been floating around on the net.
This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.

An Irish NASCAR driver? That don't make any sense.

But judging from the looks of the cast so far, it's possible that TF4 might take a slightly less comedic tone than the previous three movies, which is good news to me.

Wahlberg's the NASCAR driver, not Reynor.

DOTM had little-to-no comedy. I'd guess it would be just as comedic as the third film.

I thought Wahlberg was to be the father of the NASCAR driver's girlfriend.

DotM did have plenty of comedy, among which IMO some of the funniest, like Sam flipping at his Datsun and the whole job interview scene.

Okay, that was funny, I'll admit. But something like Wang's "shenanigans" wasn't really funny, if you ask me. >:oP

No one had really heard of Shia Lebouf or Megan Fox until this franchise made their names.

Were you expecting a star studded cast or something?

actually Shia Lebouf had been in several big movies before the TF movies so he was already a big star and Megan Fox is just Hot

Yup, that's what I heard too the last time.

As long as it's not the lame-ass jokes by overacting characters like Leo and Wang. And don't get me started with Sam's mom and her marijuana-high fiasco.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop regarding any updates for TF4; I can’t wait for it to come out; unfortunately I did not go see TF1 and TF2 at the movies but I did see TF3 and is an experience I would never forget as I had my five year old next to me with this expression on his face of amaze which reminds me when I first went to see Transformers at the movies back in the 80's. I'll be taking him again and enjoying a good time watching robots kicking a$$ and then we’ll probably make a stop by Smoothie King before we stop by TRU to get his favorite characters: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Good night everybody.

Forget the actors, did he say they were starting another TRILOGY???
Yeah, that excites about as much as staring at the north end of a south-bound DinoBot. :BANG_HEAD:

Half the fandom already hates the live action movies and we all know what happens as soon as you take a franchise (any franchise) beyond the trilogy point. It all turns to utter crap! I hope Bay is prepared to lose the other half of the fandom. I was totally on-board with the first 3 films but I hate the 4th one already just on general principle. :-x

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that!!! As for hating the live action movies...... I LOVED all of them. Granted, they weren't near as awesome as G1 or even Beast Wars, but I try to take them for what I see them as: A way for my year old to grow up with Transformers the same way I did and love them the way I do. G1, Beast Wars/Machines and RID were apart of my childhood just like this trilogy(ies) will be a part of his.

The reason most people hate the live actions is because they put G1, Beast Wars or whatever continuation they grew up with on pedastal and nothing will compare. Granted, I could've done without the twins..... Too be honest, how many people would rather have the live actions never be made?

Bond
Star Trek
Spiderman
Planet of the Apes
X-MEN
Harry Potter

I'm sure there are more, but that's what came to mind right away.

Labeouf's pretty well-known, and how I know him was from his old sit-com, Even Stevens. Then there's Eagle Eye, and the one movie where he's next-door neighbors with a serial killer (the name of said film eludes me).

Fox... okay, you got me there, haven't really heard much of her until the first film.

Point is, there's always one movie in a actors career which makes them stand out. Does anyone remember Val Kilmer for his role in Top Gun or is he better known as Batman?

This could be the role that makes Jack Reynor's career.

I am interested in how much of a role Reynor's character will play.

Top Gun. But I grew up in the 80's.

To be honest Burn you just can't win. On won hand you have people that want lesser known actors so it frees up the budget for robot time, and then you have one side that wants a known cast as they believe that's the only way your going to get a good story and acting.

Gota love the TF fandom. :BANG_HEAD:
