Michael Bay posted on his Shoot For The Edit Twitter account, here, and confirmed that the film's runtime will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. And that's without the credits! This officially makes Age Of Extinction the longest of the Transformers films.

What did that guy in Raiders of the Lost Ark say before his head exploded? Oh yes, I remember now...

IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

I'm not surprised. Each movie is longer than the previous one. There's going to be a lot of action in this movie.

I like it. I know some people might complain, but I don't care. Longer running time hopefully means more screen time for the bots. This means that if there will be quite a few previews in front of this movie (as the case is with blockbusters) I'll be sitting in the theater for 3 hours. :D

Hate to be the voice of negativity but I'm one of those who would prefer a shorter run time. I honestly couldn't wait for DOTM to end. A lot of the time there's too much filler in these super-long movies.

2 hours and 30 minutes of my life is going to be wasted then...

I agree. And also, if I'm paying $16.00 per IMAX ticket to see a movie, I don't want to waste that money on a hour and 37 minute movie. The length of some movies is why I never saw them in theatres. Even if I did enjoy them immensely at home, just felt like a waste of cash for such a short amount of time.

Yes, because Paramount is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to go watch the movie. Obviously. :BANG_HEAD:

Wait, DOTM's running time was 154 minutes (including the credits). So if this movie also has four minutes of end credits, then this film will be about the same length as DOTM.

Why go see it, then? I will never understand this mindset, at all. I just don't get it. Infuriating, really.

Why infuriating? Why do you waste your time and emotions on people who look at Bayverse this way? Don't get me wrong, I also scratch my head at statements like that, but I don't get mad. It's their problem, not yours.

It's infuriating because people like that have been whining about the movies for 7 years already. They know they're going to hate the movies, but they insist on seeing them just so they'll have something to bitch about.

OK, so is it the need to defend the movies, or is it that you don't have any tolerance for f**ktards? Either is OK with me, I was just wondering. I am able to just get past this stuff, where you guys decide to get into it with them. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I just want to know why you feel the need to do so. You're only making your own lives harder. The f**ktards don't care, they'll complain anyway.

Well, Evil_the_Nub hit the nail right on the head. Can't say it better than that, really. I will add, for me personally, it doesn't consume me as your post would have some believe. I'm tired of being frustrated.

And it gets incredibly tiresome. There is literally no point in going to see something that brings a person so much displeasure. It's like going to an Otolaryngologist and asking them to deafen you. It makes no sense, it would be torture, why go and do it?

I feel no need to defend them. I enjoy them, it's as simple as that. I'm definitely in the camp of the intolerants, oh yes. However, they are not f**ktards, and please don't label them as such. It's offensive and they'll have every right to report it.

That said, that part of his post has been addressed, people. Please don't send us reports on it, thank you.

Back on topic, I'm intolerant of their constant whining. Not the people themselves, merely their opinion delivery. They don't like the movies? That's absolutely fine. That's their right. It's also my right to not have to hear them continue on with this constant crusade against the films while watching them and helping their box office tallies climb and climb.

It's absolutely nonsensical. I've never understood why they put themselves back through this again and again for seven years. It's just tiring.

I do it for the lulz.

Seriously, both sides have a couple of individuals that are so passionate about their view on the movies you just have to giggle.

I hear what you're saying dude and agree. I don't understand why at every turn some of these people need to go into the thread and complain and hate on it so much.

If you don't like it, leave it alone. You've made it pretty clear and apparent that you don't like it, so much to the point that the horse has already been turned to glue and on kindergarten art projects around the world.

I have my dislikes of certain Transformers. I don't run into every thread made about it and complain. Yeah I might go in the threads, but it's more of a curiosity for myself to see if I'll find some type of enjoyment in that iteration of the Transformers universe yet or if it's still where it is for me. If I find I'm still not liking that iteration, I'll leave it alone. Sometimes I comment but even my comments don't come to bashing it, it's more questions of curiosity. Everyone has the taste in Transformers, what they like and what thy don't like.

I guarantee, to the ones who hate Bayformers and have to bash it at every turn. How would you feel if group of people started bombarding the threads about your favorite iteration of Transformers and started destroying it left and right? Have a little decency and respect for your fellow member of the fandom.

In the end, we're all here because we love Transformers.
