Unique Transformers they say?! Well..... why not a Transformer with Bonecrusher's body,Jazz's Head, Scorponok's Tail, Blackout's Wings and Megatron's Arms?? There, now no one can be upset that those characters died :P

And what does he mean by unique? Movie only bots with no ties to previous series? New alt modes and factions for pre-existing characters?

Vague and useless as always, I see Bay did not make a New Years resolution to not open his mouth to just talk crap.

This news sounds legit to me. As far as the unique thing goes. it could mean new characters for the movie, or it could mean the characters we know with a drastic change. Haven't we already seen this? Chracters like Blackout and Barricade got changed some for the movie. We might get familiar names on different bots.

If it comes from Bay, it's legit, and there's only one significant piece of news here: there will be a lot of Transformers in the next movie. Sounds like a bigger scale, which the second movie can handle with the bigger budget you'd hope it'd get after the first one. The Transformers movies are not primarily dependent on scripts. They're primarily dependent on CGI artists. Bay can make quite a bit happen with only rudimentary aspects of the story worked out. Characterization may never be the strong point of the movies, but hey: giant freakin' robots.

Awesome, I can't wait for all the new unique robots.

Sure X-box-360 Bot and Mountain Dew Bot were all well and good.

But where was the iBot, or the DellBot, SonyBot, SamsungBot, Wal-Bot, McBot, NintenBot, Verizbot, T-Mobot, Comcabot, DirectTV-Bot and all the other Product Placement robots?

Hopefully with Transformers 2, we'll see a helluva lot more needless Product Placement Bots.

I like the sound of this. However it would really make my day if they got some of the orginal actors for the characters they portayed (John Stevenson for Thundercracker and Huffer and so on). Speaking of Huffer, I really want to see the Movie's interpretaion of him.
