Micromaster Love?

:BOT: Am I the very few that love Micromasters?

I loved these as a kid a lot because of the playsets and you can pretty much build your own version of Autobot City. And other than those rare cardboard playsets, Transformers didn't have any compared to GI Joe (I love my GI Joe headquarters).

Of course, that didn't stop me from making my own TF playsets out of cardboard boxes. :CON:

I'm a big fan of smaller scaled toys, because like you mention it makes the rest of the battle field seem that much larger. Also, you could readily pick up a micro machines playset to use as city back grounds or army forces to fight against.

Plus these guys were easier to sneak into places to play with.

Love the little blighters. I know Mini-cons have more articulation but a lot of them end up looking like crap (take the new Classics for example).

Micromasters however, they may have been little bricks but they were little gems.

I didn't have many as a kid (in fact I probably only had about one team) so I didn't get into the whole playset thing.

But Micromasters are at the top of my colleting list these days, just need a few of the bigger sets and i'm complete.

You know, come to think about it, I still have the shuttle platform around here somewhere. The figure that came with it was one of my favorites.

I like both the ittybitty guys AND the king-sized guys.

See, I come from a tabletop wargame background, and Minibots / Minicons / Micromasters all are about the scale of those figures. Yet the larger ones have their own draw to me, mostly for the really detailed ones and things.

Nope, I'm addicted to Micromasters too. You can just fit so many of them into a single pocket and, like CyberTooth said, take them anywhere. I just wish I hadn't lost most of my Micromasters when I was younger, all I've got now is Eagle-Eye and a one-armed Red Hot (Fugitive jokes abound...), and Overload's trailer (I LOVED Overload, I just wish I knew where I had lost him...)...

I love micromasters. And I loved (as a kid) the way they blended in with Micromachines (I used to buy Micromachines all the time as a kid).

As a kid I saw Micromachines as the enemy.

Now the damn Titanium TF's are produced under the Micromachines banner. :P

I was always a big fan of the Micromasters as a kid. I had quite a few of them. I really liked the oens where their back half transformed into a seperate vehcile and theyd ride it.

I grew up with them. 'Nuff said ;)

I still have all of mine, the Off Road Patrol (my very first TF's), Overload, Constructor Squad, Airwave with his Airport, Pipeline and Gusher with the Tanker Transport, and added Erector (*hears some giggles*) and Countdown with his Rocket Base last year. I'm only missing his white Claw Arm, and the mini-vehicle could use replacing.

Anybody wanna help me out? I'll be in Texas next week ;)

Yep, always liked em since we got them in 1990, and I still got mine, plus several sets 6 years ago.

Plus one of them is named " Big Daddy ", how can one argue against a dude like that? 8)

I like them a lot too! I have all of them except the ones that came with the Big Powered set. I even have a MISB Rabbicrater.

Micromasters were my least favourite TF line in G1. Although who could resist the charms of the Rescue and Battle Patrol?

Mini-cons are an insult to the Micro's memory.

Anyone remember the Countdown competition in UK issue 250? I was one of the lucky winners.

Remember it arrived on a Friday. What better time for a kid to get his new Transformer?

I also like Micromasters (and Minicons too) but all I have are the Japanese reissue gestalts and a few of the US versions (Devistator & Superion). I've checked out some of them on sites like tfu.info but right now I am not looking to buy them.

Yeah I love Micromasters too. They were the only TFs that I collected during high school. Portable, versatile, and just plain fun.

I quite like the Minicons as well.
