these figures havent been delayed, so what makes you think they are? because a site disclaimer said it could be?

I'm a REGULAR customer from these JAPAN based sites(same with amiami). If they say its delayed.....its DELAYED! If the item is on schedule.........they won't email me me this disclaimer (mighty polite of them) thus this email is 90% accurate. Unless you have sources that contradict otherwise. >:oP

if there were any chance of it being delayed, besides the cookie cutter disclaimer you speak of... other sites like BBTS and tfsource would have emailed me like when soundwave got delayed. joel boblit is a personal friend of mine, and as of this writing there is no officially known about delays.

also i am a regular shopper on many japanese sites, and american too... if they are going to delay something , you dont get an email with it saying it could be delayed by manufacturer... it would be advising you it IS delayed and the new proposed release date. it will be out towards the end of february... no delays as of yet

Japan based companies that caters to the JAPANESE market. BBTS and TFsource are Importer vendors NOT JAPAN based. 'nuff said!

Amiami and Hobbysearch are among the BIG time Japan based companies. I'm not sure from which companies you get your items from but it's SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) from both of these companies that gives customers a heads up of the "Manufacturers" delayed shipping.

I wouldn't want to try to get into a company's mind on how they inform their clients of a delayed delivery but after all the 5 years I've been a regular client with them, their "emails" haven't failed me yet.

Considering MP Soundwave was delayed a month, it's not surprising to hear these guys are delayed too. I'm anxiously awaiting them :) Not shipping out my POL from BBTS until they arrive.

Both good and bad. It's kind of a blessing (?). If they get released one after another.......I'll be eating "Scooby Snacks" for the next 6 months.

Exactly! After all the figures I've already spent money on, I can wait a little longer for MP cassettes. ;)

This looks like a standard disclaimer, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed the release date back to around May.

@Henry921

Yes and no. My experience with these Japanese sites is that there already is a disclaimer about potential delays. But once in a while (like some of my Anime figures like figma Aegis, BlackRock Shooter anime, Alter Milia Maxwell and even Alter Gisen Yagyu), when the release date is moved to "undetermined", the always give you an email or heads up.

it is an advantage in that it gives our wallets a little rest

well well well i spoke to bbts and a friend of mine stationed in japan... neither source has these delayed... but when they do come out in march, does that mean I get an I told you so?

and lets say they do get delayed, does that make you the hero for telling us we have to wait longer, or just that guy that gives bad news... sometimes its not what you know, its how you deal with that information.

but again they are not delayed. trust me on one thing, to keep up with the size of my collection, i have my hand in many retailers pockets.

*Edit* sorry for being snarky in this comment

Delayed or not, this MP release schedule is very aggressive compared to years past. Since Oct 2012 and going to (what we know so far) this September there will be a total of 9 releases, yes I'm also including any possible store exclusives. I'm very surprised about the schedule but also reassured that Takara is really putting effort into getting collectors an MP line.

So, if there's a slight delay I'm not concerned about it. However, it is good news so one can budget appropriately!

Too true necrO, but given the situation in China and their recent transfer to Viet Nam, either all is not well in the land of the sleeping dragon or the Vietnamese factories just can't hack it.

Sometimes I wish they'd give us a breather no?

I too wish takara would slow down just a bit. now i understand that many of these will be at a lower price point, but sheesh its like they are nickel and diming us to death. i also wonder if this rapid fire production willl effect the quality and ingenuity of these masterpiece figures.

Oh! I do hope people would practice what they preach. Like "what's good for the goose should also be or the gander" when posting in this parts.

Adding an "apology" doesn't negate the action and the damage already done especially when such actions are not limited to just this post.......food for thought.

I'm all for pacing it out a bit if the issue is related to quality control - don't want another Lambor's paint debacle again. As for a breather, I think Takara was sitting on this before and finally started being more proactive in the past year. We can speculate all day about WHY it's happening now, but I'm glad there's a real sense of ownership in making an expanded MP line a reality.

I can definitely appreciate that the proposed schedule may hurt some potential buyers in the back pocket, but not sure how well we should balance release dates and still project the message that the Masterpiece line is actively being promoted.

I have to say, IMO this period of time is the most exciting I have seen for a few years. :D I cannot wait to see the proto shots of Prowl and then the next big reveal after that. Viva la MP!

On the subject of the cassettes delay, I'm not overly surprised. TT has quite a bit on their plate at the moment. Im not too fussed as I dont even have MP Soundwave in hand yet. Cheers for the heads up.

Yep, all this started with MP-10 and it's obvious that this was a pretty big gameplan for Takara to turn MP into a real line in its own right instead of a loosely arranged set of releases of 'larger G1 figures'. Tons of thought, detail and engineering went into these latest MPs to make them just right and I'm glad to see it. This is the collectors' line of Transformers for sure now, not just a special (expensive) treat that we get every few years like it used to be.

Based on my previous experience. if indeed the message I got pulls through, then more or less expect the Datsun guys to start showing the prototype pics by the middle of the year (June 2013)

Now,me thinks I'm praying for a delay so my pocket can recover

 no joke! I'm glad to see these releases coming so steadily though (expensive as they may be). Maybe that's Takara's game, make us pay so much so fast for MPs that we don't have time or money to buy third party stuff :P.

All kidding aside, I think they're just treating it like an actual line of Transformers now where each set of repaints is a new wave. If I'm right, then we should keep seeing these guys just as frequently as we see each wave of TF:Prime figures. I'd be just fine with that too so long as they can keep up with demand.

And you just wasted a post baiting someone.

Apologising for your "can't help it" behaviour doesn't stop you from getting a warning. I, and the rest of the Staff, are seriously getting tired of having to deal with reports about you.
