On the subject of the cassettes delay, I'm not overly surprised. TT has quite a bit on their plate at the moment. Im not too fussed as I dont even have MP Soundwave in hand yet. Cheers for the heads up.

Yep, all this started with MP-10 and it's obvious that this was a pretty big gameplan for Takara to turn MP into a real line in its own right instead of a loosely arranged set of releases of 'larger G1 figures'. Tons of thought, detail and engineering went into these latest MPs to make them just right and I'm glad to see it. This is the collectors' line of Transformers for sure now, not just a special (expensive) treat that we get every few years like it used to be.

Based on my previous experience. if indeed the message I got pulls through, then more or less expect the Datsun guys to start showing the prototype pics by the middle of the year (June 2013)

no joke! I'm glad to see these releases coming so steadily though (expensive as they may be). Maybe that's Takara's game, make us pay so much so fast for MPs that we don't have time or money to buy third party stuff .

All kidding aside, I think they're just treating it like an actual line of Transformers now where each set of repaints is a new wave. If I'm right, then we should keep seeing these guys just as frequently as we see each wave of TF:Prime figures. I'd be just fine with that too so long as they can keep up with demand.

hmmmm i find it funny that i have had it on preorder since the day bbts put it up, and it always said march... ive had them preordered since late november. what it really sound like to me is that your "sources" had over guesstimated the date and finally corrected them... makes more sense than your insider info.

Except when you consider the Japanese markets as distinct from the Hasbro market, it's far more than that. We're used to in the case of Hasbro, collectors being the minority. In Japan, they're the majority. This isn't simply maximising a niche market - it's Takara well and truly boosting their sales through the roof in their key demographic for Transformers. The upshot of that is that if this line keeps going the way it is, we're bound to see things in time that Hasbro would never dream of giving us (MP Devastator anyone ).

This isn't quite the best time to be a G1 fan, but give it a year or two when this line has completely found its legs (ie, single use moulds are approved and considered profitable by the bean counters) and it will be for several years to come .

If you read my previous posts, my sources are the self same links I posted. Too bad I'm not pals with the owners of both sites unlike you are with Primus know's what.

Intentional double posting.

I don't make claims that I'm an insider or have any close affinity to a source/store otherwise. Don't need to, don't have to. If I go that route, I'll be forced to ask for verifiable info such as pictures, digital forensic trails, the works(!) 'cause every Dick and Harry can claim so otherwise that he got this or that from the former and claim it be legit.

I'm not even waiting for a medal to be awarded to me. I just want to share verifiable ( as in a heads up from them via email) info I've got from my Japanese suppliers with whom I'd rather stick to the info provided by my nearly half a decade long relationship with these two shops ( they gave me a heads up for Encore Devs verifiable release waaaaaaaaaaaay before any other shop would want to commit, iirc, it was my post that broke the story here together with pics) rather than from an unverifiable source who would make claims otherwise.

Inflating someone's self worth is compensating, for what? I don't want to know.
