Also, for anyone looking for easy reference, here's the breakdown so far:

Core Assortment - Currently available through BBTS and Captured Prey. Comes with a free Mega-Gun or Brown-King through Captured Prey (and a bit cheaper, too).

Pinnacle/Firebox 2-Pack - Captured Prey Exclusive

Nit-Picker/Firebrand 2-Pack - Captured Prey Exclusive

I'm just not feeling the love on most of these. After seeing the kind of stuff that Hasbro has done with their PCC Minicons, I've come to expect a lot more from Targetmasters.

The only PCC minicon worth a look was Pinpoint & Airlift. These all look great to me.

I really like all of these. I just can't justify spending $30+ another $5+ in shipping fees to get 3 shooter masters that are minicon sized.

These are pretty clunky looking (especially in gun mode), however I'm intrigued by the seeming improvements in articulation. I'm still planning on getting a set for childhood nostalgia reasons. I'm surprised Hasbro hasn't pulled it's head out of the sand yet (giving how popular the Generations line has proven to be) and used new accesories as an excuse to release their own official Targetmasters, especially seeing how fond they are of recycling and re-using molds. They could have already re-released Hot Rodimus, Kup, and Blurr with slight repaints and utilized this new clip on gun gimmick. When I first saw Cyclonus with Nightstick a few years back (and Hound w/ Ravage) it was so awsome to think that Hasbro was really paying attention and trying to humor the original fanbase but it seems to have kinda faded a bit since then. Don't get me wrong, I'm hanging in there for the "Long Haul" hehe

*And everytime I hear someone mention Brown King, it always sounds like an add on kit Mr. Hankey accessory from Southpark LOL :lol:

These all look exactly the same like the previous ones. Would have been nice if they had given them a little more variety, like different shoulders, arms, and heads.

Or for a G1 tagetmaster that you lost the targetmaster 4. They all seem to use the 5mm holes.

But doing them as repaints is part of what gets the costs down. Doing whole new molds would have caused them to cost nearly twice as much. And they do have some variety, in that the parts are mixed and matched, plus some new gun barrels. The Automated Robots set has one new barrel and the Deceptive Constructs have a new barrel used twice.

I'm in agreement. I love seeing Targetmaster's get some love but this just isn't going to work for me. Back to waiting...

I like these guys, but may need to scale back on buying all of them: they aren't Pokemon, ya know?

Seriously, it'll be cool to give my Classics guys some new weaponry. I have Perfect Effect's line of "cassettes" that turn into guns, and they look a little too oversized for my Deluxe figures. Hopefully I won't encounter the same problems with these guys.

I don't think size will be a problem. The robot modes are the same size as G1 Targetmasters (just a hair over 2 inches).

I'll be picking and choosing them. I'd like a few. Since I will be going to Botcon and if rumors are true, I'll pick up Captured Prey's exclusive Nit-Picker and Firebrand for Spinister. The BBTS exclusive Shooter Master 3-Pack Automated Robots. I think that's all that I want for now.
