I sat down to review this and realised I couldn't without fairly huge spoilers for anyone who's been avoiding them, so please be warned if you are. Equally I've tried to keep some things vague so that they'll be a surprise (assuming the movie's anything like the spoilers for it that've leaked, anyway -- which is in no way certain.)

When you wrote Armada Megatron did you mean Energon Megatron?

Whoops. I meant Cybertron, actually (the front of the car mode specifically) although there's some Energon in there too -- -- you can tell how much attention I've paid to the last two or three US series, can't you? I'll go fix that. Thanks.

The Soundwave spotlight looks intriguing and I really like IDW's Bludgeon design. A toy of that would be nice!

I'll be interested to see what part Soundwave plays in the proceedings on Earth, and what (if any) Autobots will be involved.

Why does Megatron have actual "hands" on the cover and not his weird, thin probe-fingers like in "real life"?

Still, nice covers. The Megs design is really growing on me, especially now that the comics are giving him character, more character than we'll probably see in the actual film.

See now I loveTransformers(I'm watching my G1 DVD now) but I don't by the comics as the toys suck up all my $$$$$$$

I'm sure these books are great, I just haven't had time to collect comics in some time. Still, I support them as an artform(I just felt it had to be said).

Interesting. I actually didn't find myself saying, "Oh my God, I can't believe how bad all that sounded". Although, that's probably because the writers were not given much opportunity to deviate from a script given to them.

The prequel comic seems to have more thought and planning put into it than anything we have seen from the actual movie. Too bad they had to go with the insectoid designs though.

Ok I have one question abou tthe Soundwave spotlight, WTF is up with megatron having A hugeass Decepticon logo on his croch??
