Kudos to the one who made the video!

+1

No offense to baltmatrix, peaugh, et al.

I absolutely love this figure. I had the original MP-01 Convoy/Prime, at the time I thought it was an amazing figure. But this is amazing. I love everything about this figure except the price. It will take me awhile but it will be mine.

I've seen people on the TFW2005 thread mentioning some QC issues. Has anyone here had problems with theirs?

Aside from stress marks on the windshield hinges, all's well with my copy.

I had an air bubble in the right windscreen of my MP-10. It bothered me to the point where I just had to drive all the way to the hobby store again to get it replaced.

The second one had a stroke of black paint on the top of the right chest piece. I decided to wipe it off with Gundam marker thinner, seeing as the red underneath was red-colored plastic instead of paint. While the black paint was erased, the red plastic took on a slightly shiny look as opposed to it's original matte or semi gloss finish. I'll get around to retouching it with a layer of semi-gloss clear spray one of these days.

Very poor QC, especially for such an expensive product.

BTW, I just noticed that MP-10 is made in Vietnam. If the QC there isn't any worse than in China, it certainly hasn't gotten much better.

Interesting that it is made in Vietnam. Takara said that they were planning to move out of China for a couple different reasons. This also might explain the price increase because I believe the labor costs are little higher n Vietnam. It's too bad these defects are getting through.

MP-10 is just full of surprises.

I transformed it into truck mode for the first time today, and discovered that the part of the front that wasn't molded in red [the parts connected to the grill, beside the headlights] weren't given sufficient red paint, and you can plainly see the black plastic underneath.

Is this the kind of quality for a Masterpiece figure?!

Don't get me wrong; I love the fig, but the QC issues are really starting to aggravate me.

Time to bring out some red acrylic paint and do some touching up.

Of all the flaws with the figure, what bothers me most is the removal of the launchers for Roller and the cannons, rocket launchers originally, and that there's no way to secure Roller to the trailer.
