Autobase Aichi have shared a gallery of images from a display at the Yamashiroya toy store in Ueno, Japan. The highlight being Takara Tomy's upcoming MP-12 Lambor. In addition to the figure, design sketches and character models were also on display. We've mirrored the images below.

Can't quite tell.. but those look like two piece rims.
which means rubber tires?

I wish we could get a confirm on this!

I hope those feet aren't made out of Megatron metal...

Looking at those photos makes me really look forward to Sideswipe. Going to break my Binaltech figures out as i think he will fit in perfectly.

Interesting.

All the Autobots are shown with their English names and Japanese transliterations, all correct except Sideswipe, which is consistently written as "Side Wipe".

An earlier name? It appears three times, so surely can't be a mistake.

Is it me or does his transformation look ridiculously simple?

Wow, that's a wee little MP box. He looks nice but is so tiny.

Hello wittle Sideswipe. Lemme pinch those chubby, little cheeks

It does look simplier than the larger MP's but not overly simple. The legs look a little complicated.

it Probably mimics the G1 Sideswipe transformation.

Also, is it due in OCT or DEC?

TFsource and the eBay sellers all say OCT, where BBTS says DEC.

I love how Bumblebee is still OUT of scale.

I like that they bothered to give a slightly different expression for Sideswipe and Red Alert, instead of just using the same mold.

I wonder if they'll do that for the inevitable Thundercracker and Skywarp repaints.

Sideswipe is October, Soundwave and Red Alert are December. The BBTS date could be when they are getting their shipment, idk.

WANT. I wonder if any of these images are what we can expect for future releases. If so it's going to be a very expensive and awesome line. I just hope they keep it to 1 or 2 a year.

Now I feel even more conflicted - I like the Masterpiece version of Lambor, but not a big fan of the character. I mean I can virtually remember which characters were best known for. And him... I cannot, despite nearly religiously watching every series as both a kid and now. :???:

So I guess he is officially a maybe, as I am reinventing my want/wish list. :-?

It's written as Sideswipe in the photos. The second "s" is there, with the possibly hardest to spot it is in the scale pic.

Well, that settles it. I had it on preorder, anyway, but this pushed it into must have territory. He looks fantastic. Simplistic or not, he looks like a lot of fun.

That 'scale guide' is interesting - a precursor of the next figures in line for the MP treatment? Sideswipe looks so, so good.

:D I meant the katakana. Every other character has their name written correctly. Sideswipe seems to be the exception. On the two model sheets and the scale sheet, it is サイドワイプ. Side Wipe.

I just don't figure them spelling it wrong three times. But maybe they did - it comes down to whether or not these sheets are reference for the animators alone, or indicative of official Takara names. Who knows, maybe they just preferred Wipe over Swipe. ;)

Ahhh... Okay. Thanks for the informative correction. Hmmm... :-?

And honestly, Mindwipe is Wipe. And coincidentally, Blot is rumored to be known as Butt there. Which makes me wonder why those two do not have a two-pack reissue. ;)

That would be something. :P Together, they are a mighty force to be reckoned with.

So you are implying that they are both Spielberg and Bay? ;)

Oh... And what I do find to be ironic is that they did not check upon that. Because you'd think that after their Alternity versions of "Ultla Magnus" and "Dai Atras" (as spelled in "Engrish"), they'd have made sure that there were no name-based errors in either language.
