whether or not they thicken the legs or reduce the cannon is irrelevant because in Alt mode he's going to be close to the size of a Desert Eagle anyway so it being "convincing" isn't important. Also if you watch the original cartoon he's always held by the other TF's that are lile 30 feet tall so he'd be huge anyway.

Like Gawd said lets wait till we get some official photos before we gripe and bitch anymore

Damn, I love this Megatron. He's the closest thing I think we'll ever get to G1 cartoon Megatron, and I'm very satisfied. I think I'll pre-order this bad-boy. For $100, that'll be a steal considering I payed the same amount for an in box G1 Megatron at Botcon 97.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm almost certainly going to get him, I jsut think some things on him could be done better. And though I am a kitbasher, I haven't the skill or the confidence to go mucking with any figure with a price tag over 40 bucks.

From what other over at TFormers have said, it is something entirely unrelated to Transformers. I’m not sure what series those models are from, but it isn’t Transformers.

got to admit, i love that they're including the weapons that did Prime in, sans the chunk of autobot city that started the fatal wound. This new picture brings up a whole new thing i dont like about this mold though: the "p-38" and "bc-42" carved into his chest. I know its just there to make the alt mode more accurate... but come on.

Personally, it is little details like that, that I love simply because it adds to the authenticityand accuracy of the mode. It shows that the artist is paying attention to the details. it is the sign of a good craftsman.

I might be ok with those on his chest, as long as he has a nice looking Decepticon logo dead center on his chest.

Those weapons that are included are great and I love that they thought to include Kremzeek

I still don't like the skinny legs though, they look out of proportion to the rest of him, like they wouldn't support him. I realize why they made them skinny, but its not very realistic in robot mode IMO

Is that scope end from the original toy to save time on the prototype or are they going to add more stuff to him in the future? The reason I ask is that it still has the Microman handles that fold out.

No, that scope end isn’t from the original G1 toy, It couldn’t be, it is too big. The original was much smaller. As for the “Microman Handles” I don’t think that is what they are. they are either clips for attachments, or switches to change the magnification settings, both of which would likey be found on a real scope.

They are Microman handles.

I have the "U.N.C.L.E." Megatron, and there is a configuration in "tri-
pod cannon" mode where a small piece of the stock becomes a seat
back for a MM figure and the handls are used at that point. I will
dig for some pics to illustrate.

On a weapon scopes there are no switches that small. At least not that
I have ever seen.

EDIT: Here you go:
