crap. Wonder how much work it will take to reverse engineer those legs. Yea, I'll still get it. and its still 20X better than the classic overweight bastard they're making. not too sure on the new nosecone either. better, but less starscream. Actually I want both versions, the first one for starscream, the second for skywarp. Then I'd be happiest.
till all are one.

Hate the skinny legs and small feet! I do however love the base. I won't know if I want to pick one up till I see it in person!

I sure as hell want to see the final version of this...though i wouldve liked it if they just kept him as the first proto looked more show accurate now he looks like something from Gundam Seed *shudders* I'll still buy him though...

I still find the addition of the conformal fuel tanks to be odd. My understanding is those aren't seen much outside of the two seat F-15E. That waist kibble really should be mounted on the sides of the legs, on a sliding joint.
The waist kibble just looks bad. And, I don't mean bad as in "it's not G1" I mean bad as in "looks goofy, in any context."
Why the hell do the knees bend backwards?

Hm... This might just go to replace an idea I've had for some time... Of course some stuff needs to be bashed as it is, but I'm going for something more... "All out." You'll see when I start it...
(Here's a hint: It's what I was wanting a Cyb Supreme Screamer for.)

lol.. this just proved the new SS is imba compared to the old one.
Ehr wait..
No seriously is has it goods, look at the altmode.. the wheels pop in far better now.. it looked cheap before.
The skirt.. well.. perhaps like Ra88 is removable.. well at least with a dremel and some inventive connectors.
The feet.. are still tiny.. but imo they fit SS in a way..
And where did you notice the waist articulation ? ( or did you meant that crotch-thrust)

You know, given the placement of the Tail assembly/hip guards in robot mode, you could simply rotate them fully around up behind the wings. that would eliminate your whole ?skirt? issue.

....You just made me realize that might be EXACTLY what's going to happen. The gap between the back and wings is a perfect size for the skirts, and it might not have been photographed that way because of the weak resin joints.

Ya but that'll look even more odd cause the connector is on the hips. That and it'd ruin any attempts at waist articulation.

It wouldn?t look odd at all, and, given that the canopy stops below waist level, I don?t thing he has any waist articualtion anyway.

Old one > New one.
But it looks like they cleaned up the underside of the plane mode and I like that they got rid of the connectors between the cannons and the arms.
Hopefully it won't be too hard to bash the legs back to the old version.

Considering that non of those shots show him turned at the waist at all I have the bad feeling that there is no waist articulation. Not a big fan of the new legs either. Jsut prefer the more classic look to the legs, that and I think big legs always look better on TFs. Otherwise he looks kinda top heavy with those big arms and little chicken legs.

Maybe if they got rid of the red, it'd look better. the paint scheme seems alternatorish.
Now that I think about it, they had planned an alternator jet line and some tanks. they were supposed to be a smaller scale than the alts but still bigger. i wonder if that's where the starscream came from.

Well, appearantly that's MP Starscream, but don't worry! There are two versions, the lowvis shown and a toon-accurate one. There's just one, small catch...
...YOU HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THEIR CLUB IN ORDER TO GET THE TOON-ACCURATE ONE WITH CROWN FOR THE 'MEASLY' PRICE OF 116 DOLLARS.
Quote:
Dragonx76Here's the kicker, there was a STARS Membership card on display. When sign up is available, when you sign up as a STARS member you will be able to purchase items at a membership price. Yes there is a membership fee & the first 2 items will be Roller for MP Convoy membership price at 3,000 Yen (about $27 USD) & a animated cartoon color version of MP Starscream with Crown at a membership price of 12,800 Yen (about $116 USD)...
I'll post more info as it comes in...
SCREW THEM! I'll wait for the Hasbro version, and see if that comes in the PROPER colors!

That photo just screams that it is a digital repaint to me.
Not to mention it also looks like the classics mold.
