mummies live in this discussoin!
Posted: Thu Sep 22, 2011 6:22 pmJust curious if anyone else even watched mummies alive or owned mummies alive toys. The series was brief, I think only one season, but cool.
for anyone that doesnt know, mummies alive was a show about mummies...that were alive. They were revived to protect a modern day re-incarnation of a pharoah from an evil and ancient sorcerer named scarab. I mean this guy had connections with seth, the egyptian god of war, and anubis, the egyptian god of the underworld. he was one well neworked villain!
The mummies could each power up into these cool golden suites of armor that were themed around animals like a hawk, a ram, a king cobra, and tiger. They rode around in a vehicle called the the "hot- ra," get it, ra! very corny I know but the hot ra was a pretty ba dragster with a nose shaped like a king cobra and a tailfin that could fire missiles and detach to become a gliding missile shooting thingy.
The theme music was pretty cool too.
The figures were also really hard to come by but im sure the show can be found online somewhere for download or purchase.
