the title says it basically

which classics and universe 2.0 figures do u think are a must have?
i just love the line and wonder which ones i should look around for

the ones i have so far are:
ratchet, hound, sunstreaker, cyclonus, inferno, dinobot, and iv got cliffjumper coming in the mail soon

You've already got Cyclonus, and he's pretty much the peak of the line. I'm personally a big fan of Onslaught, he's one of my favourite molds of 2008. Also Jetfire and Optimus are popular picks, Rodimus is pretty cool and it's probably worth getting at least one of the Datsuns.

Several of the legends are good too, like Beachcomber and Warpath.

eh, i was sorta disapointed with cyclonus. i thought he was gonna be alot better but i got sorta bored with him lol

ya i want onslaught but i can never find him when i have the cash :[
for me so far, i reaaallly like inferno. hes a great mold

what wud u say about gettin a starscream? or one of his many molds, alot of people seem to like him but idk

It's a good representation of the G1 character model and looks good in both modes. The transformation is kinda fun and its posability is good except for its weapons interfering with its wings. I've heard that the mold is beginning to suffer from overuse though.

i have all of them but i want ratchet! i missed a few in the first classics line. but does anyone know where i can get a classics devastator? some one offered to sell one to me but cant remember who? i will buy a the set from some one that has an extra or does not want. i hope. but any i missed in the first classics line i must have. but devastator has been a pain in my ass to get!

ratchets nice

i lil modification was needed tho with the head, sorta, and the arms (to make them more flat against his body)
the whole head facing down was a problem, but when u do some cuttin here and there it makes his waist pop out too much and its not pretty lol
but besides the head, hes a great figure

My personal favorites (molds not characters) from all the classics lines are Cyclonus and Mirage. I know you don't like Cyclonus, but he's really impressive to me in terms of transformations, articulation, and representation of his G1 appearance.

USA Edition Onslaught (from Japan lol) is probably my favorite.

The figure is really striking to see in person.

I have the US version of him, but I'm thinking of pickin up the USA version of him at Botcon if I got extra loot. He's def on my list though, just not as high up because I have the US version.

I've been slowing my purchases lately since I realized I'm liking more of Henkei's over Cls. I'll get the occasional bot like Ratchet, but I'm stoked that I waited for Henkei HotShot. I don't know why the US didn't get his exhaust guns. So awesome and really clever way to store his flamethrowers.

i like the henkei figures alot, except for the chrome i reaaly dont liek that. and its so hard to get them cheap haha

i heard that the hotshot figure wasnt that good tho.. thats y im passing it up

HLJ had sales on Henkei deluxes for 1000 yen each not too long ago.

Everyone needs a Classics Prime or Henkei Convoy in their collection.

Jetfire is pretty good too if you can forgive his lack of decent elbow and knee articulation.

I would add Toys R US exclusive Unicron if you can afford him and if you didn't pick him up during his original Armada release. He's an awesome big toy and fits in perfectly with the other classics in my opinion.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any figures in this line. By far my favorite line. Personal favorites are Prime, Inferno, Starscream (the cartoon accurate one), and Onslaught.

From the ones I have I would select Cyclonus, Hot Rod/Rodimus and Smokescreen. Great colour schemes and designs. I love Astrotrain and Octane/Tankor, but that's probably mainly because I like the idea of triple-changers so much, but I'm not sure I would say their were essential unless you share my particular fondness.

The must haves for me is: Henkei Sunstreaker, Cyclonus, Astrotrain and hasbro Sideswipe. legends Brawn is also very nice. I'm also thinking about henkei Thrust but price is silly :o)

These figures are imo better and often cheaper than their g1 counterpart wich is the only reason for me to buy them.

Yes the seeker mold is having issues seeing it has been overused (re: H. Thundercrackers arms) but the universe release Starscream is still worth picking up (hell all of them are) as the faults aren't as bad as others and he still looks real good. (but if you can find a Henkai Screamer, go for it)

Hot Shot has a couple issues, but he is so JaAmTasTix i'd make him a must have regardless.

all of the g1 based figs are tops! i cant even narrow it down to my top 5!

well i'll try anyway... in no particular oreder...

and....errr...AHH i cant do it! just get'em all!
