There's a strange sequence of events that lead to my writing of this. I'm not even certain of all of them myself. What I am certain of is why I've decided to publish the first part of this. It turns out that one of the producers of the War for Cybertron is a friend of mine I used to work with back at 3DO. I was so surprised and shocked to find this out, and I found myself envious of him to an irrational degree. I tried to understand why I felt that way, and I concluded that my love for the TF universe was so great that I felt that I was a better candidate for his position. But that's not the way life works, and it's silly for me to be jealous of him. So I decided that I was tired of sitting on this piece and want to release it to anyone who is interested in reading it.
So... this a very heavy handed take on the origins and backgrounds of the Transformers as a whole, and subsequent parts will focus very specifically on the psychological make up of specific characters. Although I tried my best to stick to much of the agreed upon and established lore of the Transformers, I obviously took several liberties. This writing is intended to flesh out and weave together much of the cosmology, theology, philosophy, and psychology of the Transformers as opposed to presenting a chronological storyline chock full of interactions between various Transformers. Storylines have never been my strong suit anyway. I hope that some of you enjoy this.
By the way, if the bit at the end of the first part is confusing, the characters who are communicating have no true identities, so the only way I could distinguish one from the other was by coloring the text. The main character's text is always black. It should become clear when you begin reading.
