My first time putting together a Arms Micron and applying the stickers to a AM series.

First time I actually put the stickers on one of my Takara AM series Transformers. It was actually not as easy as i thought it would be. It took over a hour easily but I did remove the screws to pop off the chest plate to put symbol behind it. You actually have to build the arms micron almost like a model kit. You know what though, it was all fun. I also added a few bits of chrome left over on the sticker sheet to add a few more accents. Not show accurate but I could always remove if I change my mind later I guess. Anyway, I think I like how much more you're involved over Hasbro Prime.

As of now, I've put together Shining B.2, S.2, and now I'm doing L.P.. Now the first time since I have Shadow C.L. and Shadow Balo (whose clips are loosening amd showing dtressmarks *sob*), but the full work ones with stickers are worth the hassle. Tweezers come in handy, but my shaky hands do not. I'll get to the bigger Leo Prime and Smokescreen later.

Yes, I do like building those Microns, less chance of assembly errors.

I've only applied stickers to one figure, as I only have one AM figure; Breakdown. Building the Micron, applying stickers, and playing with the figure a little bit took roughly two hours.

Although I plan on getting more, as you can see in my signature. ;)

been getting a lot of the Arms Micron figures and I love them. Most of them I simply applied the stickers but Arcee and the Dark Matter Calibur I actually painted. Very customizer friendly

Well, Leo Prime's stickers were super easy, just a few lines and ones for the lion's forehead. Smokescreen on the other hand, lining them up properly coupled with my meticulousness was a pain. But the result is worth it. :)

In case you were wondering, I did leave stickers out: Leo Prime's insignia (may use the :MAXIMAL: for him instead of the prescribed :BOT: one) and Smokescreen's headlights. That's what I love about stickers, it's your choice to apply them or not :)

*grumble*

Sorry for the double post, but it's a rather important one for Smokescreen's Micron S.2: his assembly instructions contain an error!

The two rods connecting the backpack to the body have a ring of plastic in the middle, and the instructions tell you to have the ring between the wings and the backpack. That's incorrect: both the wings and the backpack need to be on the same side of a ring. First the wings, then the backpack.

I read about the error on at least two blogs, so I'm rather miffed at the moment trying to disassemble the poor guy...

I like the stickers, reminds me of my G1 days!

I've yet to summon up the courage to assemble an AM yet tho'!

You don't know what you're missing then. Truth be told, when I put the stickers on the bigger figures and assembled the Micron, I was remembering putting together my first model kit with my dad, the kind with the runners and stickers you had to put in water first. Needless to say, I'm reliving my youth to an extent.

And thanks to my dad's model tweezers the rods of S.2's backpack are now out. First the wings, then the backpack... and attach the whole thing to S.2. Done!

To think this started with me looking for an explanation of the "Stragy Gun". Major kudos to the Japanese bloggers for spotting the error! ;)^

You don't need courage. Just do it. It's not rocket science. Image

I must admit I do hope that Takara releases a mega pack with all of the AM Series in it, as I love Minicons (or Microns) and I love weapons, so Minicons that turn into weapons are totally awesome!

I do wish they used transfers rather than stickers though. I don't like stickers. I'd probably paint mine anyway.

Also, who else can see these being great fun to use with Figmas?
