Unable to pay for SDCC version and waiting for Takara version.
However after many peoples said that this is an ugly toy, blastoff arm never gonna look good and so on and on...

I decide to pick up this version (just 2 of them, arm and body)
After 40 min done, at least I please with this.

What I've thought from day one is that the "official" transformation is bunk for most of them. It's like they just said "okay, good enough," with the instruction manuals. while the INTENDED transformation, as in, by the designers, is what we have here.

All the figures included in Bruticus are rather half-ass to me. >:oP

Even though it looks better it's more proof that I shouldn't buy these figures. Such a shame.

I was able to do this bit now the arm won't stay pegged. Did you have to mod blast off?

Thanks! That's been annoying me as well. At first I thought this figure would be ugly, but I convinced myself to buy it and I'm pleasantly surprised. The only thing bothered me was that stupid arm.

Just out of curiosity, does this way of transforming him put any extra pressure on the joints or plastic?

This set isn't the best thing ever, it cetainly has its flaws, but I have a giant weakness for any good gestalt, particularly Bruticus and Superion; this set just scratches that itch the right way. I've got the G2 one, just got it in the mail the other day, and I love it! One part raw nostalgia (especially since he'll be sitting next to g2 Swindle when I find shelf space for him!) and one part new and awesome. Despite the flaws, I think this set is absolutely worth it for anyone who likes a good combiner.

Yes and no, It did but the joints on Blastoff legs is one of the strongest joints on Bruticus, so the pressure mean nothing. And the way that they log the legs together, make it look like they Know that this part gonna get some pressure like this in the first place.

Just make sure you face the joints the right way, and it'll be safe.

I just tried this (there's another version that works pretty much the same way) and I don't like the level of stress put upon it. It's frightening.
