Nebulos - Fire In The Sky

The noose around Fortress Maximus' neck tightens. Will the Decepticon 2nd fleet led by mighty Scorponok finally subjugate their old nemesis? And if they do, what will be the fate of the Autobot resistance?

Deadlock leaned against a communication terminal with his arms folded across his chest. His weapons rested at his sides as his optics darted from one end of the big rotating holographic representation of the Nebulos globe to the other. Red marks were all but obliterated over the past few micro cycles, especially with the fall of whatever assistance those from the doomed Autobot Expedition could have possibly provided, never materialized.

Still he was not satisfied. This war was one of attrition now. Since the Matrix of Creation and the Well were lost in the middle stages of the planetary phase of this war, both sides were limited to who and what they could bring to bear. To the warrior officer it made little sense to offer an opportunity for the Autobots to even regain a portion of their number. Especially given the ones that were currently being held were considered the elite engineering and scientific team within their ranks. Better to execute them now and get it over with.

"Specimens?" He finally broke his silence with a huff. "We shouldn't even bother. Those Autobots are idiots and deserve the laser bolt in the processor for that simple fact." He pushed himself up and made his way to the center of the chamber where Turmoil was overseeing troop deployment and allocations of resources.

"I don't get it Turmoil. Megatron would have executed these uptight surges in an instant. And their leader, that Scattershot... he's intellectually worthless. He's a bruiser with no brain behind him. Probably the same goes true for the rest of his team of 'Intellectuals'." He rubbed his forearm before letting them fall to his sides. "Give the order, let me free their spark chambers so they can be used for what they are good for... spare parts."

For all of his zeal, Deadlock was right. Morality and war of attrition had little in common. Executing these Autobots on the spot was tempting option. Once, Turmoil wouldn't even have thought twice about having the sparks of these Autobot extinguished. But now, their numbers were at all time low. And enemy of not, they were still Cybertronians. Nevertheless, the choice ultimately wasn't even his. There was a protocol to follow, originally used by no other than Shockwave. Within it existed specific orders to interrogate all high ranking Autobots they could capture in order to obtain possible intelligence on Autobot operations. But it also had a note about capturing specimens for scientific experiments when necessary. And the fact was that now, with Nebulos under their control - the Decepticons had again need for test subjects in their endless arms race against the Autobots.

"We have a protocol to follow. High Commander Scorponok and his technicians are always developing new technologies to get an edge over the Autobots. Would you rather have them test their inventions on you during the prototype phase?" Turmoil finally addressed Deadlock. While he agreed with his lieutenant, he still disliked Deadlock's attitude. Every action questioned. Every protocol and boundary stretched to the limit. Turmoil doubted whatever answer he would give, was going to please Deadlock. "I think not."

"That is not to say we need them in any kind of shape that would make them a potential security issue." The massive Decepticon added, turning just enough to be able to observe Deadlock from the corner of his optic. Perhaps letting Deadlock to put his hands on the prisoners would give him at least some peace. "Strip all the prisoners down to their barebone form. We can repurpose their armor, built-in tools and weapon systems."

"And if you feel like it, lobotomize Scattershot while you are at it. As talented Soul Siren is, I have difficult time to believe she can make Scattershot speak."

"Heh. Funny that." Apeface chuckled. Both Autobots obviously tried to get under his skin. Neither of them was successful. It took far more than that to make Apeface to lose his cool. Now, Snapdragon was completely different case. The reptilian Horrorcon might actually have attacked Pointblank already.

"Defiant to the death. No wonder why Autobot casualties on every front you are losing are so high. Given all the never surrender crap you're famous for. Oh blame the Decepticons for all that is wrong in your life when you rather make a suicide bombing run to join the Allspark than even consider we might be right." The large black and white Decepticon spoke with clear hint of amusement in his tone. It was as if he couldn't take the two Autobots seriously. And yet he was. It was a game - a cerebral one. One that Apeface intended play as long as it humored him.

"Simanzi Massacre was a name given by the Autobots. War propaganda. Do you know what the Decepticons call the battle for Hell's Point? Or what kind of reputation your dear heroes like Impactor or the so called pacifist Fortress Maximus have achieved? No?" At this point, Apeface's stare was intense enough to drill a hole through Pointblank's cranium.

"You are no better than us. We just stopped to try to convince you otherwise."

Pyro glanced up from the corner of the cell he had occupied in his morose pose. His body aching with every surge of energy he sent through the damaged relays. The ranger turned briefly to take in more of the discussion, or at least exchange between Pointblank and the Decepticon who's name he could not recall but who's stench was legendary.

"Forget trying to convince them that what they are doing is wrong Pointblank." The massive ranger pushed himself to his feet. A spark highlighted his bravado as he stepped into the dim damp light offered by the hall lamp strips. "They have been in thralled to the ideals of Megatron and his egocentric campaign that they have forgotten what it is like to think things through for themselves."

His face, a reminder of a ghost, soon came fully illuminated. He hid his injuries well as he stood strong and faced Apeface, at least from an angle. "It makes me wonder just how many actions your vaunted Decepticon Military have undertake, have had the adverse effect of creating more enemies than just Autobots. I can assure you, those of this planet can easily be listed among that growing number. Regardless of whatever propaganda your leadership fed their masses, it is only a matter of time."

The ranger's optics still held the signs of his own failure, but he forced them back into the recesses. He needed to remain strong, it was what Optimus would have done. Though he wasn't kidding anyone. Optimus would have never been captured. Pyro knew he still had a lot to learn.

----

Scattershot grabbed the shoulder of one of the seeker guards and turned him around with enough force that it fell to one knee. "Oh no you don't." He stepped forward to break the iron grip that held Lightspeed in place.

"You ain't going to go using that device on one of my soldiers. I don't care how you wanna call it." His actions were clear as he placed a hand on the Data Collector's shoulder.

The Technobot Commander stood defiant. "If you wanna ask some questions Deceptibovine, then I suggest you start asking me. You won't get scrap outta these mini micro processors."

Tenebrous – Interrogation Chamber

While Black Shadow busied himself with calling Turmoil, Blue Bacchus moved to stand behind the slab Spartan was strapped down to. The Autobot turned his head up so he could stare at the newly arrived Decepticon. He said nothing opting to simply stare. Blue Bacchus sent a sneer down in Spartan’s direction before leaning down low and whispering to the prone mech.

“What is it?”

It took a moment for the Autobot to access his vocalizer but when he finally did he responded to the looming ‘Con in a low tone.

“What will happen to my team?”

“No need to worry about them. I’m fairly certain they’ll be fine. Well, for now at least. But you…”

Spartan took in a deep breath and held it for an astrosecond and then slowly released it. He was ready to address Blue when he heard a low chuckle coming from behind both of them. Spartan lifted his head up slightly only to see Black Shadow staring at them with a broad deranged smirk on his face. He pushed off the wall he happened to be leaning against and strode over to stand beside Blue Bacchus.

“It’s so cute how you Autobots get so worked up over the welfare of your friends and loved ones. Always uninterested in just what might become of you.”

Black Shadow muscled passed his partner and stopped next to the bound Autobot…he then leaned down low.

“Guess what. I have good news. I just got off the line with Turmoil and he says since you were gracious enough to provide us with that bit of information earlier I get to give you a reward. Doesn't that sound wonderful?!”

Spartan let his head slam back down onto the slab he was strapped to and let out a defeated grunt. Black Shadow retained his position but flashed the dejected Autobot a deeply set pout.

“And just what kind of reward am I entitled to?”

The pout that seemed to have set in permanently quickly vanished a bright smile replaced it on the flier’s face. Instead of answering his question however, Black Shadow maneuvered himself to lie next to Spartan on the slab. He slowly turned on his side and propped himself up on his elbow.

“You’re a sick fragger!”

From behind the berth Blue let out a stifled chuckle. Black Shadow simply ignored his partner and instead kept his focus on the disgusted mech trapped beside him.

“Don’t flatter yourself. You’re not my type. No, I have some other things in store for you. And I’m thinking I’ll start with this….”

The Decepticon looked over his shoulder before tossing his hand back and grabbing a small device that fit in the palm of his hand. At one end there were a series of thin razor sharp curved talons. The other end possessed three circular openings…one set slightly higher than the other two…the device looked similar to archaic style metal syringes.

With a bright smile on his face, Black Shadow brought the piece of equipment up to Spartan’s optic level. With his forefinger and middle finger through both lower loops and his thumb stuck in the taller one, the Decepticon pushed down demonstrating how the talons opened and closed with just the push and pull of his fingers.

“Do you know what this is? Neat little device actually. I've never really had the opportunity to use it so you should be very much honored to be the first. In fact this will be but one of your rewards.”

Spartan was sure not to give the psychotic mech any sign that he was uneasy. Instead he set his optics on one spot on the ceiling and focused all of his attention there. After a moment of listening to Black Shadow quickly opening and closing the device he felt the ‘Con get up and slip off the slab. From the sound of his footsteps he could tell he was working his way to stand behind his head. And as if on cue Black Shadow lowered his face down low blocking Spartan’s view of his focal point.

“Something tells me you’re just not interested in accepting these rewards graciously. Which is a shame really. But, I certainly don’t want them to go to waste…so what say we get this show on the road.”

With another smile plastered on his face Black Shadow rose up slightly and brought down the hand held tool but he stopped suddenly.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you what this nifty thing was called. This, my friend is an ocular talon.”

The view above him cleared and once again Spartan could see that spot on the ceiling he had been focusing on before. But just as he was set to study its feature one more time the clawed end of the tool came into view.

“Now hold still. I’m just going to shove this into your optic cavity, retract and pull. I’m not going to lie; it’s going to hurt like hell but at least I’ll know it works, right? Anyway, here we go.”

From behind the slab Blue let out a raucous laugh as Spartan tried to kick and thrash away from the mech and the tool that was now lowering into position over his optic.

After the doors had slid past and allowed Cyclonus and Scourge entry, the purple warrior stood in impressed silence for a few moments as his optics shifted from one set of screens to another. The true fruits of their labors on this world were finally beginning to show.

His optics finally settled on on the large form of Turmoil, with his lieutenant, Deadlock, standing not too far from him.

"...And if you feel like it, lobotomize Scattershot while you are at it. As talented Soul Siren is, I have difficult time to believe she can make Scattershot speak," had been the words spoken by Turmoil as Cyclonus entered.

"If Soul Siren's efforts are not successful, I am confidant that Scourge's will be," Cyclonus said calmly as he closed the distance between himself and the other Decepticons in the room. "But if Deadlock wishes to make the attempt...then, by all means."

His last meeting with Turmoil had not been a portrait of Decepticon camaraderie, but it had not destroyed their functioning relationship either. Though he saw Turmoil to be an ill-fitting replacement for Scorponok, it was not to such a degree that Cyclonus would undermine his every action. The progress that they had made on this planet spoke for itself.

"Truly impressive," Cyclonus said, looking up at the screens indicating the progress they had made. He knew a mechanoid who would truly appreciate the work that they had accomplished on this world....but his time was a time long since past. Nevertheless, it could not help but give Cyclonus a strong sense of satisfaction now.

"What is our next step?"

If Pointblank thought that it might have gained him anything of substance, he might have attempted to provoke the Horrorcon further. While his circumstances really couldn't get much worse and death could well be a welcome release, it would also prevent him from being of any further use to his team. And on the off chance that somebody did something, Pointblank knew that he had to be ready to help.

Pyro, for his part, seemed to concur. Words were wasted on these murderous thugs.

"You keep telling yourself that," Pointblank said evenly to the Horrorcon, before limping back to his corner of the cell and sliding down the wall. Words were of no further use to him; only action.

Tenebrous -- Approaching Command Center

“I would call it luck, more than anything else,” commented Scourge as he kept pace alongside Cyclonus. “I imagine, however, that his good fortune will end sooner, rather than later. You are a superior commander in every way that matters.” A small smirk appears. “Soon, I suspect you may have the opportunity to show your true qualities in that regard.”

As the doorway to the command center opened to allow them entry, Scourge immediately began sweeping the area with his optics to see who else was present. And sure enough, there was Turmoil now, with Deadlock to boot. “I’d rather gut them all and make the Technobots watch before they themselves were executed, if only to quit wasting our resources on keeping them alive,” he notes to Deadlock. “For now, though...” He glanced over at Cyclonus with another small, knowing smirk. “...tolerance of their presence and the belief that perhaps they might hold some semblance of intellect stays my hand.”

He goes silent, however, as Cyclonus asks about the next step of their operations.

Whatever interest Apeface had held towards Pointblank evaporated rapidly after Pyro decided to butt in. The Autobot ranger was as ridiculous as he was hypocritical. Apeface had seen plenty of mechs in his time whom had taken to themselves to emulate someone or something they looked up to. The Seekers were an obvious example of this kind of a personality cult. Then there were the more or less sane idealists like the leader of the Decepticon Justice Division - Tarn. A notorious sadist, whom had modified himself into his own image of a perfect Decepticon. Which apparently meant wearing Decepticon insignia over his face while imitating Megatron's base design from a fusion cannon to alternative mode. Or well, that was one way of looking at it at least. That being said, this Pyro character took the definition of personality cultist to another level. While Tarn certainly was a zealot, this bot was the dictionary definition of a hero worshipper. And in denial, which made it all that much humorous.

"You've gotta be kidding me..." Apeface howled in fit of laughter as the currently very one-legged wannabe Optimus Prime stood up and accused the Horrorcon saboteur of well - being exactly like Pyro himself.

After one quarter of a breem of exaggerating the fun factor of Pyro's words, Apeface finally stopped laughing and faced the ranger all formal like. "So sayeth the sparkless drone who can't conjure up one original thought without checking to see if it matches one of Optimus Prime's directives first. The ol' saying about the one turbofox callin' the other stupid comes to mind."

"That really means so much to me coming from you." Apeface added, spitting a glob of dirty lubricant at Pyro's face from the opening between the bar shaped forced fields. "Whatever our propaganda division had to say at least got plenty of credibility through the actions of your local colleagues. Or haven't you heard yet? Oh Pointblank, tsk tsk, didn't you tell your dear friend of the hundreds of casualties in Koraja caused by that little missile strike your friend Spartan ordered?"

"Not that your own hands are clean oh great fire truck of doom. Do you have any idea how many Nebulans lost their lives because you decided to blow up one of our supply depots?" Apeface added to twist the knife in the wound.

Lake Nimbus

Regardless of their words, the Autobot fugitives on Lake Nimbus were in no position to put up any resistance to the Insecticon swarm that had overtaken their position, tracking them through caves and trees until finally they had surrounded them in this fishing vessel within the dredges of this Nebulan lake.

Chop Shop had taken command of the simple fishing vessel, forcing it to surface, as the Autobots themselves had been surrounded, locked in energy restraints and forced to their knees in front of the core assemblage of Insecticons. Well, all except for noble Skyhammer, who lay blissfully in stasis, unaware of everything going on around him.

"Such a thorn in our sides you've been," Bombshell said, looking down at the unconscious Skyhammer and thinking back to the first cerebro-shell that he had been forced to plant in to the unwilling Autobot's cranial unit. He then walked past him to primitive controls of the fishing vessel where Chop Shop had positioned himself. They were obviously a little undersized for the Insecticons, but not unreasonably so. Megatron would have had a difficult time maneuvering about in a vessel of this size, but it was no major concern for the Insecticons.

"Ehhhh, make sure this thing responds to Venom's tractor beam, Chop Shop. I'd hate for him to drop us. Oh, and try to get Skyhammer to where he can at least appreciate all of this misery we're inflicting. I'd hate for him to miss it all."

As the vessel was lifted off the surface of the water and towards the Insecticons' vessel, Bombshell stared eagerly through the viewport windows. Another demonstrable Insecticon success. Turmoil would be pleased.

Deadlock stiffled a satisfied grin as he toggled a swift security file on the Technobot Commander. There wasn't much on Scattershot beyond hearsay or the rare experience that brought him to the front lines. "I remember the last attempt Lord Scorponok's technicians attempted to test a new prototype. It took me weeks to pick phase shift armor coated seeker from my exhaust manifolds."

His optics briefly darted over to the primary doors as the muted foot falls began to approach. Immediately able to tell that no threat was posed, Deadlock returned his attention to Turmoil. "Perhaps you are correct that their use as 'subjects' is an appropriate use for them."

The security feed flicked over to the cage of Autobots. Scattershot was bullying a Seeker guard. The image brought a smirk across Deadlock's face. "I am sure Lord Scorponok will not mind a few of them permanently reprogrammed. Perhaps even a few slight tweeks to their logic circuits could make them into interesting Target Practice Drones."

"If Soul Siren's efforts are not successful, I am confidant that Scourge's will be. But if Deadlock wishes to make the attempt... then, by all means."

Turmoil was not exactly jumping with joy as Cyclonus and Scourge barged into the command center. The last encounter between Turmoil and Cyclonus still lingered fresh in the memory of the massive charcoal Decepticon Commander. Not only he had to deal with Deadlock's continuous questioning and complaints but now he had to suffer the company of these two as well? Aloof, insufferable wretches both, the air of superiority surrounding Cyclonus and his favorite henchman was almost thick enough to grasp. Too bad they were almost as good as they thought themselves to be, which made them far too useful to be disposed off. The same could be said of Deadlock.

"That so?" Turmoil snorted out a reply to Cyclonus' statement, "Then why waste time? There are plenty of Autobots down there to interrogate. Easily enough for both Deadlock and Scourge to keep themselves busy for a while."

"What is our next step?"

"Our next step?" Turmoil scoffed in response to the Air Commander's question. So now Cyclonus wanted to cooperate? Truly, the sleek purple Decepticon was difficult one to read. What had changed for him to actually listen to Turmoil now? "You might as well ask that from the High Commander himself. We received a superstring slingshot from Finback two breems ago, announcing the return of Lord Scorponok."

Turmoil turned his gaze from Cyclonus towards a holographic presentation of the Nebulos system on his right and nodded towards a small blinking dot that was moving towards the planet Nebulos from the fringe of the solar system. "The Semper Tyrannis entered the Nebulos system just prior your entrance into the Command Center. The High Commander should be here in-"

Turmoil's sentence was interrupted by a sudden flash of light in the command center, followed by a gradually growing swirling portal appearing across the thin air just in front of a hidden emergency exit door in the far end of the room. It was a wormhole through space and time without no clear ending point in sight - and deep within the swirling vortex the Decepticons could see an approaching dark figure of their commanding officer - Scorponok.

Cyclonus had appreciated Scourge's vote of confidence. Indeed, of the aerial ranks, Cyclonus found him to be far superior to that arrogant wretch that Megatron had culled from the Seeker academy long ago. Even so, there was really no doubt in Cyclonus' mind as to where Scourge's loyalties would lie if circumstances required it. For now they did not, but there was no telling what the future might hold. Rather than say anything further in that regard and provoke additional hostilities, Cyclonus had directed his full attention to Turmoil and his latest observations.

Turmoil's initial feedback regarding the interrogation situation was to Cyclonus' liking. It appeared as if Scourge may well be allowed the chance to exorcise some of his darker demons after all.

He sent a brief nod in Scourge and Deadlock's direction, indicating they were free to do exactly as Turmoil had indicated, Soul Siren could likely utilize the assistance. In truth, Cyclonus was beginning to think Scourge more efficient at getting the answers they wanted from the various Autobot captives than the femme had thus far been able to do. He was keen to allow him the opportunity.

Turmoil's next statement, however, caught the lithe purple warrior off guard. Scorponok...returning? Short of Megatron himself setting foot in these halls, Cyclonus could not have been greeted with better news. Cyclonus' crimson optics turned to take in the arrival of the Semper Tyrannis before the flash and crackling of energy within the room indicated a wholly different arrival. High Commander Scorponok himself. No sooner had the large Decepticon commander fully materialized than Cyclonus had slowly dropped to one knee, a formality he reserved for few.

"Mighty Scorponok, your return bodes well for us all," Cyclonus began, knowing Scorponok well enough to know that his first desire would be a status update regarding the progress that had been made on the blue-green world. "The Nebulans have been subdued and offered no noteworthy resistance. The same can largely be said of the Autobots. While an initial nuisance, their ranks have scattered like sand in water. They, too, are of no consequence. All on Nebulos proceeds as we had planned, save for the arrival of a stray vessel in the planet's atmosphere, carrying what appears to be a sizable Autobot survey team. The ship was promptly destroyed and we are culling our way through its refugees even as we speak."

He could only hope that Scorponok's own mission had been equally fruitful.

Tenebrous--Holding Cells

"Inadvisable," the disemboadied voice of Reflector came through the Technobot's cell as the various Seekers standing nearby had all raised their weapons and pointed them directly at the Technobot commander at the first sign of defiance. "This will proceed much more smoothly if you cooperate."

Two more of the Seekers stepped further in to the cell, their weapons humming with energy as Lightspeed was dragged the rest of the way out of the cell by the others.

"Take that one to Soul Siren. No word yet on what we do with the rest of these glitches," one of the Seekers said. The Seekers did as they were told, and just as soon as they had arrived, they had now absconded with the Technobot. It wasn't long after that before Lightspeed found himself thrown before Soul Siren herself, chair and all.

"Comfy?" one of the Seekers taunted.

Why was it so easy? Perhaps it was because no one ever sees him coming. Hardshell had taken control of the Autobot transport rather easily. In fact it was not even a challenge for the Insecticon. A shame too, he had been so looking forward to some kind of resistance…again, the Autobots were just not expecting to be attacked.

His travels after were entirely uneventful and thus he rendezvoused with the Semper Tyrannis with time to spare. Upon meeting with his master, Hardshell relinquished any and all information that he and his tiny drone had acquired from Aileron and the other operatives stationed on Garrus 9.

Now the High Commander and his legion had finally arrived above the new Decepticon acquisition…Nebulos.

Hardshell was inclined to accompany his master to the surface and thus took up a position behind Scorponok. As the High Commander stepped through the wormhole, the towering Insecticon followed. As both mechs stepped foot out of the vortex and into the Command Center Hardshell spotted Turmoil and Cyclonus…not far were Scourge and Deadlock. A low hiss escaped the creature’s vocalizer while he gazed through his visor at the assembled Decepticons.

The arrival of Scorponok and his entourage held the assemblage’s attention and thus those present failed to take note of the arrival of both Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus…the former taking the time to clean portions of his armor still stained from the energon so graciously donated by the now barely functional Spartan.

“I told you I’d make him scream. You see, Blue, you fail to realize that my tenacious methods have always been quite…oh, how shall I put it…effective.”

Black Shadow finished wiping the stains from his hands with the rag he had brought with him and tossed the useless cloth into the corner where a drone would retrieve it later. Satisfied that he gotten his point across to his partner, Shadow finally took note of those present within the Command Center.

Black Shadow stopped and looked from Hardshell and then to Scorponok an almost shocked expression on his face. While he stood there gaping at the High Commander Blue worked his way to his partner’s side and leaned in to whisper into his audio.

“I believe this is the part where we greet the Commander. So, why don’t you close your mouth and say 'Hi'.”

A deep growl formed in the Infiltration Unit Commander’s throat as he clenched his jaw shut and cast a heated glare in Blue’s direction.

“Keep that up, dear friend of mine, and I’ll be sure you and Spartan share matching wounds.”

Blue simply shook his head and followed Black Shadow’s lead as he made his way toward the imposing Decepticon.

“Lord Scorponok…” Black Shadow offered a deep bow at the waist before straightening back to his full height. “…your arrival has been greatly anticipated.”

He waited patiently while Cyclonus broke down what had transpired since Scorponok’s absence. It was a precise account and noting needed to be amended. Now they needn't do more than await the High Commander’s orders.

Tenebrous - Command Center

"Attention Decepticons! Your leader returns!" Turmoil proclaimed and performed a crisp military salute as High Commander Scorponok stepped through the spacebridge portal into the Command Center of Fortress Tenebrous with Hardshell and far smaller Cipher in tow. While majority of the Decepticons present followed Turmoil's example, some took exception to this. Cyclonus in fact had knelt before the mighty Decepticon warlord while Black Shadow had seen fit to bow instead as the two high ranking lieutenants greeted their superior.

The way the various Decepticons paid their respect to him did not seem to invoke more than a curt nod in response from mighty Scorponok. The Decepticons had done as expected and honored the presence of a high ranking general by saluting him. This was not the time to dwell on mere formalities. Not when the Decepticon Empire was quite frankly in the brink of a major victory. What they had unearthed from Nebulos would have major repercussions thorough the tactical hotspots of the galaxy and the sooner Scorponok would have the access to his grand price, the better.

"Rise Cyclonus." Scorponok stated as he walked by the purple Decepticon and headed towards the information nexus before him. While Cyclonus had provided him a rough summary of the situation on Nebulos, Scorponok still wanted the details. Particularly after hearing of the Autobot survey team that had been shot down during his absence. Knowledge of the Autobots already having sent troops to see why one of their outposts had gone silent was alarming. It would be only matter of time before the disappearance of the survey team was going to make Fortress Maximus investigate the situation of Nebulos personally.

Truth to be told, this development had not been unexpected. Fortress Maximus and his Autobots were not fools. The fact that they still were a thorn in his side was all the proof the giant Decepticon warlord needed of that subject. The confirmation of Farstar and its demise however made it even more important that he would act swiftly and decisively.

"I have unearthed a weapon not seen since the days of Nova Prime." Scorponok finally broke his silence to reveal his plans. "An amalgamation of multiple Cybertronians into a one enormously powerful entity. And the Autobots are sitting on this weapon, ignorant of its existence."

Turning to face his lieutenants, Scorponok continued, "We uncovered an ancient Cybertronian laboratory on LV-117. And within it enough survived video logs to find out that Jhiaxus, Nova Prime's chief theoretical strategist experimented on six individuals to create a single being - far superior to the sum of its parts. My agents have already confirmed the continued functionality of these six. They are known as Birdbrain, Bristleback, Icepick, Scowl, Slog and Wildfly. This knowledge does not come without a price though. For these six and possibly even Jhiaxus himself are held in Garrus-9, the Autobot penal colony in Elba system."

"However before you come to any conclusions, I think it is best you witness the potential of this technology yourself." The enormous Decepticon spoke and gave a nod towards Cipher's position. "Cipher, present the feedback you uncovered."

Motto: "I'm not psycho...I just like psychotic things."
Fortress Tenebrous – Infirmary

The buzz from the barely functional CR chamber sounded but hardly penetrated to whole of the infirmary…not one of the drones manning the medical facility paid the chamber any mind. Several minutes passed before the door actually slid open…it paused part way…an audible grinding of gears wafted throughout before it finally jerked the rest of the way.

Brainstorm let out a low groan as he slowly raised a hand to his head. Systems began to reboot while his sensors finally came online one by one. Audios registered that his location was somewhere that housed plenty of equipment…just what kind would have to wait until his optics cycled up. He didn’t have to wait long and once he was able to see Brainstorm took in the immediate area surrounding the CR chamber.

“Infirmary? But…”

His musings were quickly silenced when he noticed the Seeker that appeared from somewhere in the room. The smile on the flier’s face sent a chill through the engineer that had obviously been noticed.

“Have pleasant dreams did you?”

Brainstorm quickly looked away from the ‘Con but kept silent. There was no reason to speak to anyone at this point. The Seeker’s smile faded as he reached out and grabbed the engineer by the arm. He quickly, and roughly, jerked him out of the chamber and brought him in close.

“Don’t you worry, slagger, those interrogators’ll have you singing in no time. Come on!”

Fortress Tenebrous – Holding Cell

Afterburner had taken his time gently tapping and knocking on the walls of the cell and once he had exhausted that approach he got down on his hands and knees and groped at any noticeable gaps and seems…nothing.

Frustrated at not getting anywhere fast the gunner pushed himself back up to his feet and let out a deep growl. His attention was soon drawn toward Scattershot and Lightspeed. He took a glance over his shoulder at his two teammates when he overheard them speaking about Scorponok…or at least that’s who he thought he heard mentioned.

Afterburner stepped slowly toward both mechs but stopped when their interrogator singled out Lightspeed. The gunner grit his teeth and balled his hands into tight fists. Scattershot’s attempt to stop and persuade the Seekers to take him instead went completely unheeded and was backed just as fast by the disembodied voice of the Reflector trio.

The remaining team watched as Lightspeed was swiftly dragged off and dumped before Soul Siren. Afterburner finally snapped out of his anger drenched stupor and stalked up to Scattershot.

“That’s it?! You offer yourself in his place? Did you honestly believe they’d even consider taking you over him?!”

Afterburner set his jaw and paused letting the silence between he and his Commander stew just a little. Finally he threw his hands up in the air and let out an enraged cry. Trapped with no way out and now they were going to be taken one by one…and worst of all…their fearless leader was doing nothing to stop it.
____

He made no sounds save for the high pitched screeching that was being produced by the dragging of Brainstorm’s legs. He had tried to get his feet under him but since it was taking so long for his pistons and struts to recalibrate his “escort” decided to drag him along instead of wait.

Finally the Seeker stopped in front of one of the cells. He noticed Pyro and Pointblank but no one else, at least not in this cell. The bars were lowered and Brainstorm was hefted up high enough so that the ‘Con could look directly into the Autobot’s eyes…a sinister grin spread over his face.

“Now you play nice with your friends.”

With a hearty chuckle and a snort Brainstorm was tossed in. He landed hard on his shoulder and with a grunt attempted to lift himself up onto his elbow…he failed miserably. The battered mech turned onto his back and offlined his optics. He ran a diagnostic on his systems and waited for the results to pour in. In the meantime he decided it wouldn’t hurt to find out just how what was happening.

“So which one of you went and screwed up?”

Fortress Tenebrous – Command Center

Cipher had only been able to decode a portion of the damaged datapad…although it contained little as far as information that would be of use to Scorponok, the device held a plethora of data for the scientist to rummage through.

He had just started on the second section of the information when he was summoned by the High Commander. Without hesitation Cipher left his lab and joined Scorponok on the bridge where a wormhole was opened directly to Fortress Tenebrous’ Command Center.

Along with the High Commander himself Hardshell was also present. The scientist took his place behind the two larger mechs keeping silent so as not to disrupt anything that was relayed between the Commander and the inhabitants of the fortress.

Cipher listened well to what had transpired while he and the others were off exploring LV-117. It seemed that the Decepticons stationed on this planet had made commendable progress…something that did not go unnoticed by the High Commander.

The scientist’s pondering was interrupted by the sound of the hulking Decepticon offer’s voice. Cipher quickly stepped out from behind Hardshell and stopped in front of Scorponok. He offered a submissive bow before he moved to the closest terminals.

Actuators quickly flew over the keys before stopping. From an access point located on the back of his left hand a data spike emerged which Cipher immediately thrust into an input jack. He had uploaded the contents of the security footage directly to his neocortex for further examination and deciphering.

With the link established the main viewing screen flashed briefly before the first set of images appeared and Cipher began the playback.

“There are several significant images of, not only the Monstructor Six, but of Jhiaxus himself. However, this is the defining glimpse of the six in their combined form…”

The images on the screen switched from the nonessential material to that of the towering form of Monstructor engaged in a devastating battle. Cipher immediately froze the image and with a wicked smirk glanced back at the High Commander.

His slight dramatic pause was halted when Cipher looked back to the large view screen and the show proceeded.

"Jhiaxus' experiment performed...admirably."

The visual feed advance with scenes of Monstructor taking on its combined form in reaction to the attack by the two Omegas...one of them easily recognizable. The assault was fierce...Monstructor took the battle directly to Omega Supreme...fierce blows were exchanged until one well placed blast forced the combined monstrosity to disengage.

"Admirably... not perfectly."

Cyclonus had done as bidden and steadily rose to his feet once more and waited to hear what Scorponok had to say. Initially, he had concerns about the High Commander's absence. There was always a slim possibility that his departure could have gained them no fruitful results. As Scorponok began to lay out what he had accomplished during his absence, those concerns were quickly wiped away.

Cyclonus was, admittedly, surprised by what he was hearing. Names that had scarcely been spoken in eons. Cyclonus remembered them. Remembered them well, in fact. But it still remained that they had long ago faded in to seeming irrelevancy, as least as far as the modern war effort.

Shadows of the past fold their icy grip on the present.....

When Scorponok then deferred the continuing tale of his progress to another, Cyclonus' attention shifted just as smoothly, now watching the significantly smaller scientist as he went about his work. Cyclonus watched as this weapon engaged not one but two Omega Sentinels. One of them being the most notable figure among their ranks.

This.....this was surely the reason behind so many of Jhiaxus' secretive meetings with the Prime, Cyclonus thought as he continued to watch the ancient images of great carnage play out in front of his optics. It wasn't until one final, thunderous impact from the formidable Omega Supreme's weapon that the awesome weapon came asunder in the same manner that it had come together previously.

"This entity resides within an Autobot prison?" Cyclonus asked, very much rhetorically, as he considered the ramifications. "The Elba system would not be an unreasonable distance from our current location. It remains within the boundaries of the 2nd Fleet's jurisdiction. I am still at something of a loss for words, High Commander. A weapon of this magnitude laying dormant for so long? I trust we are to reclaim it."

The possibility of Jhiaxus remaining behind the penitentiary's walls were not lost on Cyclonus but, for the time being, he was more interested in the creation and not the creator. Scattered images flickered in his mind like a fading optic lens, many lacking any form of cohesion. He could not immediately identify why that would be.

Strange.....

Tenebrous--Holding Cell

Soul Siren quietly continued to prepare herself for the interrogation. She could hear Scattershot's words and she allowed herself a smile as the front of her face was out of sight of the prisoners. By the time the Seekers had brought over Lightspeed and were placing him on the seat. She knew it would be a painful experience so she allowed that initial sensation to fully be felt before starting to speak.

"Now then, Lightspeed is it. From what I have read in your file you are quiet intelligent so I hope that we can resolve this in a professional manner."

She said in a cool, controlled voice but loud enough for all in the room to hear.

"My name is Soul Siren and I am a Decepticon interrogator. It is my task to obtain information that my superior officers require. I will utilize pain and I assure you that I am quite learned in how to inflict it. As you can probably tell by now."

As she spoke he passed her hands over her tools and lifts a micro saw to Lightspeed's face and turned it on for a moment to accent her point. She slowed put the device back down, her gaze never leaving Lightspeed's.

"The discomfort you are currently feeling is for your benefit, a warning as to what might happen if you do anything... foolish. Cooperate and what you are currently feeling will be it. You will be removed from the seat and what minimal damage has been done will be repaired. Refuse to answer or give false information and I will be forced to apply my trade."

She remained silent for a moment to give Lightspeed a moment to think about it.

"Now then, I move to my first question. Who ordered you to come to this planet?"

While the images of the battle between several Omegas and monstrous being flashed over the main view screen Black Shadow could not help but stand in awe. What he was baring witness was truly incredible. To think this weapon was available to them all this time and not one of the superior officers had been privy to it…he thought perhaps not even the conclave was aware of its existence. Oh they were probably familiar with the six as individuals, but as a whole…never.

“This. Is. Remarkable.”

For the entire showing Black Shadow’s optics remained transfixed on the viewer. Not even his partner stood a chance of taking his optics off of the playback.

Finally, when the images froze Black Shadow tore his gaze away and settled on the High Commander…a broad smile plastered on his visage.

“I’ve but one question, my Lord...”

He took a quick look back at the terminal where the diminutive scientist was poised and then back over to Scorponok…his smile ever broader.

“…when do we depart for the Elba system?”

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Holding Cells

Scattershot's fists balled as he prepared to charge the first pair of Seekers who dared to raise their rifles to him. It was obvious they had little knowledge of who they were dealing with. He'd smash them into fragments by himself, he had made a name and a living going against unequal and insane odds against him and his team. But what stayed his hand was the condition of his teammates. He noticed that two of the escorts had pivoted their weapons onto Afterburner and Strafe respectively.

While both were capable of the similar feets as himself, at present they were in limited capacity to capitalize on opportunities. Furthermore, with so many compromises to their armor and defenses. Scattershot did not want to dwell on the possible outcomes. He needed more information as to what was going on, and getting his team killed just to get it was not very high on his list as possible outcomes.

Instead he seethed as the seekers finished rounding up the data collector and escorting him out of the cell. As the constrictive electronic forcefield snapped across the entrance of the cell, the Technobot Commander shot his insubordinate gunner a disquieting look. It normally would have been enough to silence the mech in an instant, but Scattershot wanted to do so much more than just quiet the smaller Technobot. "Look, in your present condition Afterburner, do you honestly think you would survive a firefight with a half dozen escorts before an entire division flooded these blocks? Right now Lightspeed is going to have to endure what he can so we can get some information of our own. We need to know what they are looking for."

He relaxed his posture as he kept his glare back on the interrogator and her sadistic seeker minions. "I take it you failed in your attempt to locate a method of communicating with the other cells. As I expected. I didn't expect this Deceptiscrap commander to overlook something as insignificant as a form of communication. Go back with Nosecone and Strafe. Compare whatever notes you three managed to find. Perhaps during your investigation you managed to stumble upon something more significant that we may be able to exploit. Weakness in the stone or mortar. Perhaps a rusted plate that we can use to short out that forcefield. I am sure you three will be able to happen upon a nice strategy for us to employ when the time comes."

OPs

"Lord Scorponok." Deadlock saluted with respect to the fleet commander. His optics narrowed briefly as he returned his attention to Turmoil. "By your leave Commander, I would like to bring Cyclonus and Scourge along for this more... interactive form of interrogation."

"Scattershot nor his harder cracked Autobots will last more than a few Astro Seconds under our more colorful questions." He motioned to the two commanders with a nod of his head before pivoting fully towards the Nebulon Force Commander. He waited for a nano second, not really for permission but an understanding that what he was going to do would be done because it must. Besides he had Megatron's blessings to indulge himself in the removal of the aristrocrates that had so long held he and those like him down in the gutters.

Finally he turned towards the main lift and disappeared into the main halls of the fortress. His mind going over the swiftest method of removing information from the notoriously stubborn Autobot, thus rendering he and his survivors worthless and ripe for the scrapheap.

OOC: Again, apologies -- I've been sick with a nasty sinus/flu bug for the past week and am just now getting caught back up with things.

Tenebrous -- Command Center

As Cyclonus has done, Scourge himself also knelt down at the appearance of Scorponok. One of such standing within Megatron's ranks deserved respect, after all... and aside from Cyclonus, there were few that Scourge would willingly give that respect. He actually waited until after Cyclonus had been bid to rise before Scourge rose as well, remaining silent.

His expression, once Cipher showed them the broadcast, was one of intrigue. "How... interesting," he finally notes. "How do the Autobots not know who they're holding? You would think that they would be more knowledgeable about those under their watchful optics." His arms cross, a taloned hand reaching up idly to stroke his beard and chin. "Or are they? Might it not also be possible that the Autobots may be aware of who they hold within the Elba system, and using it as lure to draw us in and away from Nebulos?"

Scorponok took in the view around him. From all initial reports, satisfactory progress had been made on subduing and stripping this peaceful world just as they had planned. He was pleased that he would now be able to divert most of his attention to addressing more immediate concerns. After all, while the destruction of a whole planet could be done in mere hours - the assimilation of population the size of Nebulos had into the Decepticon Empire would take decades at minimum. The Autobot threat though - it was not going anywhere. This enigma they had uncovered on LV-117 however, it could shift the balance of power decisively to favor of the Deceptiocons.

"Admirably... not perfectly."

"True Cipher. However, it took the enormous energies wielded by the most powerful of the Omega Sentinels to defeat the beast." The enormous Decepticon warlord spoke up as Cipher finished playing the video recording.

Scorponok's gaze moved from the now paused recording to evaluate how his lieutenants had reacted towards the revelation. "That blast from Omega Supreme would have turned any single member of the entity into a pool of molten metal. And yet, they are able to absorb the blast as one. Yes, it forces separation but they all survive the encounter. Together they are obviously far more than sum of their parts - in terms of power and size both."

"This entity resides within an Autobot prison? The Elba system would not be an unreasonable distance from our current location. It remains within the boundaries of the 2nd Fleet's jurisdiction. I am still at something of a loss for words, High Commander. A weapon of this magnitude laying dormant for so long? I trust we are to reclaim it."

Cyclonus was the first one of Scorponok's inner circle to speak up. The reply to his question was a short one though, for more questions were to come.

"Energy and mass manipulation of this scale has to be added into the arsenal of the Decepticon Empire - there is no other option."

"How do the Autobots not know who they're holding? You would think that they would be more knowledgeable about those under their watchful optics. Or are they? Might it not also be possible that the Autobots may be aware of who they hold within the Elba system, and using it as lure to draw us in and away from Nebulos?"

"If the Autobots knew of our operation here on Nebulos, they would have acted with force by now Scourge." Scorponok replied as the notorious hunter-killer voiced out his concerns. The enormous Decepticon commander had asked these same questions from himself already prior his return to Nebulos. Fortress Maximus could never be underestimated. The Autobot commander was truly a worthy foe. The practical stalemate in the war between Scorponok's Decepticons and Maximus' Autobots was all the evidence one required. Deception was not part of Fortress Maximus' nature. For him to go to such lengths to deceive Scorponok - it was unthinkable. In addition, Scorponok knew more than he had revealed so far.

"The other question is one I cannot answer with certainty. According to the intel acquired by Hardshell and Decepticon Secret Service, the Autobots are keeping these six separated from each other. This indicates that they possess at least some level of knowledge regarding these six and the danger they present. Logic indicates that because at least three members of the original group of special forces that captured Jhiaxus still serve the enemy - they would have not forgotten. However, we also know that these six walked free after their original capture alongside Jhiaxus. Before Megatron's revolution, before their branding and service under the Decepticon banner and before they were captured again." He explained, keeping a short pause before continuing.

"It is very likely that these six have been surgically manipulated to forget their part in Jhiaxus' machinations. And given the immorality of the whole ordeal in comparison to Optimus Prime's modus operandi, I believe this technology was buried into Autobots' vast archives of illegal technologies alongside the likes of the vamparc ribbon and Gideon's glue. They did not let this information slip out, we run to it during a routine scan of uncharted star system. The chance of foul play is marginal at best."

"I’ve but one question, my Lord - when do we depart for the Elba system?"

Black Shadow's question was certainly one of those questions Scorponok had been expecting to hear. And truth to be told, he had not been able to properly decide the exact time table to follow despite of having gone through initial planning stage of their most imminent future priorities with Turmoil already prior traveling to Tenebrous from the Semper Tyrannis.

"When indeed? The Autobots did send already one frigate to investigate why their outpost went silent. It is only matter of time they come in with more force." Scorponok spoke out, his gaze falling upon Black Shadow, "It leaves two options. Either we wait and prepare for their return or take the iniative to our hands."

"I prefer the latter option. And for that we need an advantage over the enemy. I have one. But we may have another."

Fortress Maximus had been a thorn is his side for such a long time now. It seemed as if the universe itself was now presenting him with an opportunity to finally put an end to that old rivalry, and gain a massive new weapon at the same time. Perhaps it was time to pay the holding cells of Tenebrous a personal visit rather agreeing with Deadlock's suggestion of sending Scourge and Cyclonus to assist with the interrogation.

Weapon: Dual Compression Cannons
Lake Nimbus

Nightbeat spewed dozens of shots out of his rifle in one hand, and shot precise shots out of his pistol in the other. If he could fire a weapon with his mouth, he would. Hundereds of Insecticons were on the ground around him, so much that he was beginning to be buried by the bodies of his foes.

A sharp, hot pain came from his side; A Kickbaclone had just stabbed him with one of it's appendages. Nightbeat pulled the wing off the clone and stabbed him in the face with it. Then, he began stepping on the arm of the clone to begin firing potshots with the weapon the clone was carrying.

The Detective clenched his jaw and gritted his teeth; another clone of Shrapnel's bit down hard upon his left arm. The crackle of electricity formed around the antennae and was about to give Nightbeat a jolt. He acted fast and bent the horns in upon the clone and it was fried by it's own electrical charge.

Nightbeat fired another shot off at point blank with one of Bombshell's clones, blowing the head to slag metal. A hot mess littered the floor where it once was. But this was just enough of a distraction for Nightbeat that he didn't notice the Bombshellclone behind him, readying his blaster. The following shot from the blaster hit him through and through. The Detective howled and grabbed the face of the Insecticon and ripped it from the clone's body.

He fell to one knee and the assault stopped with him.

"Surrender" Nightbeat heard from the crowd.

The voice was unmistakable. Bombshell.

Nightbeat watched the Energon leak from all of the scratches, stab wounds and blaster holes in his body. His system couldn't register the pain, so he felt numb.

"Surrender...?" Nightbeat replied, meeting a chorus of chatter from the clones, wanting to taste the energon that leaked ever so much from Nightbeat.

Nightbeat rested his weight on his one good knee and looked about the room. It was dark, but the lights of Insecticlone optics lit the room so much that one could read in the light. Dark shapes scuttled on the walls and on the ceiling.

"Fine... You-" Nightbeat stopped to cough and step forward, "You win."

The Detective tossed his weapons to the feet of the Insecticon Interrogator along with the Energon Rations. The shard of metal was absent, however. They didn't know he had that.

He stepped forward to shift weight. He held his leaking sides in a show of helplessness. Insecticlones waited and flooded in behind him.

But he had one last trick up his sleeve.

In a blink of an eye, Nightbeat whisked the weapon of a dead Insecticlone and fired it at the remaining three Energon Rations. The following explosion ignited the Rations that were given to Hosehead, creating a massive explosion from all sides. Nightbeat's entire vision was of blue fire and exploding fireballs of Insecticlones. He felt a sharp jolt, and he was thrust against the wall from the force of the explosion and then:

Darkness...

*****

Holding Cell

Nosecone's vision blurred and came back into focus every few seconds, leaving his optics to cross and part every once in a while.

"Why do I get the feeling that -" Nosecone paused to cough, "Decepticon POWs don't get the medical attention that Autobot POWs do...?"

The miner laughed hoarsely, then coughed. He felt his mouthpiece wet, so he wiped the Energon off it with his broken treads like a napkin.

Suddenly, looking at the Energon, he had an idea.

"Scattorshot," Nosecone whispered, "I think we can make a trap out of some of our Energon and some of the rocks stuck in my treads. We can use it against the guards so we can get past them."

He knew it was a dangerous task, but it would serve them good to get the other prisoners out and revolt.

Pointblank had barely looked up as another Autobot captive was thrown inside to join them. He wasn't surprised. How long would it be before they were all in this situation? He suspected it wouldn't be long, though it looked like the Monsterbots had somehow managed to elude their Decepticon captors. Good on them. Maybe they should have put them in charge.

Pointblank grinned a little at the thought as his peripheral vision identified the new captive as Brainstorm.

"I'll tell you, Brains, probably most of us, on some level. I've never seen a command structure break down so continually in my entire functioning life. Skyhammer came in strong and then got crushed. Spartan came in even stronger and I haven't heard anything from him or his team in Primus knows how long. Then I think Roadbuster was going to pick up the pieces and he went AWOL or got slagged--I don't know which. Pyro made a good run of it trying to knock out this buggy looking outpost we found but...well...here we are. Since then we've pretty much been divided and conquered like something out of an old academy holofile. It would be embarrassing if it weren't already so pathetic."

Pointblank held up his hand.

"I'll stake claim to my share of the foul up. The next Prime I am not. To be fair, this was a research planet. No one had any idea it was on the Decepticons' radar. I guess now we know--everything is on their radar."

Interrogation Chamber

Lightspeed had offered some requisite struggle, but the Seekers were significantly stronger than he. It was not going to do him or his team any good trying to escape. His best chance was to try and gauge what this interrogator wanted to know and how he could best couch anything he said in just enough truth so as to not compromise the Autobots' overall mission but also do what needed to be done to keep the Decepticons from following through on their threats to execute them if they offered no substantive information.

Once he was in the chair, Lightspeed took note of the interrogator. It was a femme, and a fairly striking one at that. That was...rare. Most of the attractive femmes that Lightspeed knew either worked for the Autobots or were non-aligned, way back in the days when that meant something. He couldn't help but wonder how this one had been conned, pun intended.

This interrogator, Soul Siren, quickly stepped past the usual pleasantries and made her point that this was not going to be a simple question-and-answer session by inducing a introductory amount of discomfort. Lightspeed's pain sensors all registered, but not overly so. Soul Siren wished to make her point. Point made. Moving on.

"My name is Lightspeed. Allegiance: Autobots. Sub-group: Technobots. Function: data-processor," Lightspeed said, spouting off the standard information any captive was authorized to provide in an interrogative situation.

Interrogation Chamber

Soul Siren saw it in Lightspeed's optics. She recognized that look. There was potential there if she changed her tactics somewhat.

"Such information was not what was requested."

She slammed down her palm on Lightspeed's right hand. Her strength was not great enough to do any real damage in of itself but it was enough to cause pain when aimed at pushing a sensitive wrist joint into the spikes. She accompanied that with a sad look, no joy showing. She allowed herself a moment to let Lightspeed notice and be confused by the contradiction.

She looked around her as if making sure that she was not being watched directly and leaned in close to Lightspeed and whispered directly into the audio input unit on the right side of his head.

"Is this what you were told to do by your Autobot leaders? Lightspeed... it does not work like that, it never does. Our leaders never look at what happens in the interrogation room realistically. They don't want to dirty themselves with the truth. They make both interrogator and interrogated do sacrifices they would never do themselves."

She said in a sympathetic voice.

"Unlike your leaders I will not force fantasy upon you. I will tell you exactly what will happen. I will slowly take you apart making sure you feel the greatest pain possible throughout the process. In the end you will talk... or one of your friends will when I put them through it, either way I will be further lost..."

She ends her words in a bitter tone, betraying a private disgust that she is forced to do this. She slowly backs away from Lightspeed demonstrating a sad expression on her face which she quickly wipes from her face making sure no one else saw that temporary moment of weakness.

"Now, I ask you once more. Who ordered you to come here?" She slowly takes up her micro saw and looked at Lightspeed with a sad look in her optics.

A pretty little female who was forced to do terrible things for the nasty Decepticons because she is too weak to refuse. Having to act in such a despicably weak manner was quite annoying but if Lightspeed would choose to cooperate because it would be heroic to save her friends and the poor little female then it would be worth it.

Tenebrous - Lonely Window

Snapdragon walked through the fortress is a bad mood. He had thought about taking a nice oil bath but he could not relax. He had to work this out of his system. Simply making fun out prisoners would not work. For that he might as well make fun of whatever small pests this world contained.

He made his way to a window in the middle of the Fortress and looked outside. He thought about the battles they have had and how hollow the victories felt. Not a real challenge to be found.

"I bet Megatron would have found better use of our time..." He grumbled to himself.

Motto: "I'm not psycho...I just like psychotic things."
Tenebrous – Holding Cell

With a slight groan Brainstorm finally rolled to one side and very slowly propped himself up on his elbow. Once in said position and once the steady throbbing in his processor slowed down, he onlined his optics and took a good sweeping glance around the cell’s interior.

Of course Pointblank was present, after all he was the only who responded to the scientist’s question. The response from the enforcer was, as expected, straightforward and precise. Brainstorm wouldn’t have expected anything less from the mech.

With an audible sigh the blue and white mech lowered back down to the floor…arms spread out horizontally to his sides effectively taking up much more floor space than was absolutely necessary.

“Sooo, there’re some guys out there who we’re not even sure are still alive and we have our “came in strong” guys locked up in here with us?”

Brainstorm grew quiet but it didn’t last long. “I don’t know about you, but sprawling out here on the floor and waiting for the inevitable seems to be the right thing to do. Especially when we all know no one’s gonna swoop in and save our sorry afts.”

Another bout of silence permeated throughout the cell until the flier decided to break it once more.

“Do you think Perceptor would freeze up in a situation like this, because I think he would.”

Holding Cells

“I’d rather go down fighting these slaggers instead of waiting in this Primus-forsaken cell for them to come for me!” Afterburner sneered hotly at Scattershot.

The gunner held his glare for several tense moments before he turned around…arms crossed over his chestplate.

“You got that right. This place is tight…just like your aft. There’s no way to get any kind of messages to anyone else.” Afterburner looked at his commander from over his shoulder. A grunt was the only acknowledgement the gunner sent Scattershot to his order of checking up on Strafe and Nosecone.

Tenebrous – Command Center

Black Shadow waited for a moment as Scorponok attempted to respond to him query. However, it seemed that the High Commander was split between two opportunities…wait, or take matter into their own hands. Black Shadow was a very big fan of the latter, as was Scorponok. A broad smile washed over the black and crimson Decepticon’s face.

Oh the possibilities. His musing of bearing witness to the destruction of the remainder of the Autobots was interrupted by the hulking bot’s request to see the highest ranking Autobots that had been captured.

“But of course, my Lord.” Black Shadow offered Scorponok a gracious bow before gesturing toward one of the far doors. “If you please…this way.”

Cipher lowered his gaze from the larger mech as he patiently shed light on exactly what kind of power the Monstructor Six possessed. The scientist has been shortsighted…but then he was not privy to what occurred on the battlefield. He would be sure not to make that same oversight.

Cipher bowed slightly before he stepped back and retracted the interface spike that was still jacked into the terminal.
