but you didnt specify in which tidal. :P

not to mention that when you said "US Issue #140" it implied a Transformers book because back then the tital GIJoe was on ly used on the US releases of the book.

In the UK and other nations names like "ACTION FORCE" were usede.
Eh, Sto? The Action Force comic eventually renamed itself "G.I. Joe the Action Force" and then just "G.I. Joe" later.

The change came immediately after Marvel Transformers UK issue #245.

In fact, it was in that Transformers issue, rather than in Action Force's own comic, that a story was published in which the European Action Force team (led by Flint) and the American G.I. Joe team (led by Hawk) officially joined together as one united team, and all issues of the Action Force comic from then on were titled "G. I. Joe the Action Force". Later, the "the Action Force" part would be dropped to leave it as just "G. I. Joe".

UK and U.S. series are different continuities despite sharing some events between one another.

Just like how the UK and U.S. Transformers comic series are separate continuities despite the UK continuity sharing about 95% of the U.S. continuity's events.

They're still both considered "G.I. Joe" comic series.

that wasnt my point.

my point was that they way his post was worded, it sounded like he was saying the panel came from the US Transformers book #140.

and even if fans consider the early Action Force books as GIJoe, it technically did not carry the name till #245.

It's still part of the greater G.I. Joe brand, being a comic series for the G.I. Joe brand.

Playskool's four-episode Go-Bots cartoon doesn't have the word "Transformers" in its title or show (at all), yet it's still considered a Transformers cartoon due to being a part of that overall brand.

not to sound rude, but again that has noting to do with my point.

this is the post I originally replied to....

Well, knowing where the U.S. TF comic ended, I don't see how one would think the sentence would be referring to the TF comic, U.S. or UK regardless.

now your nearing my point.

Even Now , not everyone is aware of the number count of the US run, heck, even I dont automatically recall the exact number count of the UK run,

So, when I saw the misleading post I asked for clarification.

Just out of curiosity, what is the Marvel UK run count?
A friend of mine is letting me borrow his TPBs today, just wondering how long it'll take me to get through them.

Just thought of checking TFWiki (duh): 332, apparently.

TFWiki wrote:Marvel UK produced a G1 comic which ran for 332 issues, reprinting the American stories and adding in many new stories built around them.

Can anyone help identify these? (source, artist)

Autobots & Spike | Decepticons attack | Autobots | more | transform! | battle | Decepticon triple-changers | Autobot cars | Rodimus vs Galvatron | season 3

I thought maybe Studio OX but these look fantastically more cartoon-accurate than the stuff I've seen from OX. Right down to transformation. I wish there was a comic book that looked like this.

That last one is definitely Studio OX artwork.

The rest look like ads for the cartoon from some Japanese magazine, but I'm not sure which.

Thanks, that helped. Found this; The first image sort of looks like it was drawn by the same guy. Could it be Ban Magami?

Are there any more colour pieces? Were they ever collected and released? They look great.
