Need Support for a Fellow Fan

With regrets, I have confirmed that, a friend of mine, and one of our own, TFMaster, had a heart attack early Thurs. For those not in the know, TFMaster is a known customizer, moderator at this site, and proprietor of Transtopia.

He was aware when it was happening, had his wife call an ambulance, and was even able to walk to the vehicle himself.

He went into Intensive Care, and has undergone both stint and balloon procedures, and is now under sedation. It appears that his arteries are clogged to the point where his heart only pumps at 10% efficiency.

He has been diagnosed with various heart issues, and the doctors have told his wife that there is a good probability that he may not survive. His problems are being viewed as genetic; his father had several heart issues during his life and passed before the age of 60.

TFM is 31yrs old, married, with one male child, age 8.

Please show some support, even if it is just an email or card. He is at St Mary's Mercy in Livonia, MI. PM me for more info. TFM cannot communicate right now, so no phone calls, please. At the least send some good thoughts and positive energy.

All of this info is straight from his wife Lauren, and I am posting it by her own request. TFMaster's life revolved around customizing and the community. Please refrain from any kind of gossip or embellishment out of respect to him and his family. I'll update as the info becomes available to me.

Best wishes, buddy.

Not meaning any disrespect but is TFMaster perhaps a bit overweight? I mean, arteries don't just clog up them self.

Man you ever want to feel your mortality. I'm only 30 and have 2 kids, to hear that someone just one year older than me had a heart attack kinda gets you thinking.

Best wishes to him and his family, I know it has to be tough for the family.

You don't have to be overweight to have a heart attack. My best friend had one this past New Year's eve. It was six days before his 29th birthday and he's 5'10" and 165lbs. One of his arteries had a 100% clog. For him it was stress, poor diet, and smoking.

Y'know, I've only met TFMaster a couple times so I don't really know him very well but I've been thinking about this all day and I really hope I get the chance to know him better.

Yes, he can stand to lose several pounds, but I wouldn't consider him obese. I'm sure that stress, diet, lack of excercise, smoking, and depression all contributed to what happened. I guess that a healthly human heart pumps at no less than 60% efficiency, but then again, I don't have a medical degree.

Keep up the well-wishes, I'm sure he appreciates them.

I see *sage nod*. Do you guys know if there is anything medical that can be done? I don't believe there is a way to 'clear' arteries? Anyway although I don't know the guy myself I Do wish him well. Hope he pulls through somehow!

I can't believe TFmaster's gone...I only really talked with him once online. I feel so sad for his son. I couldn't imagine how I could live through my Dad passing away.

RIP TFMaster...

Just in case anyone missed the news headline, TFM's wife called me very early this morning to let me know that he passed away.

My sincerest condolences to Bill and his family, and the TF community will always remember him.
