Profile: Runabout likes to watch things blow up; the bigger the explosion, the more he enjoys it. Seemingly driven by an unending supply of evil energy, he avoids even the briefest lulls in activity as if he's terrified that boredom might fatally infect him. He is extremely frustrated that he's prohibited from causing much destruction, and earnestly waits for the time to start blowing stuff up and blaming it on some other country.

Abilities: In car mode, Runabout has a maximum speed of 185 mph and a range of 550 miles. He has one of the fastest transformations of all the decepticons, able to transform to robot mode in .4 seconds. He uses a particle beam rifle that shoots a high-energy beam of neutrons with devastating results.

Weaknesses: Pretty cars are a magnet to runabout, being his favorite targets.

RUNAMUCK

Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-group: Battlecharger
Function: Shocktrooper
Alt. mode: Ban III Burt Reynolds Edition Pontiac Trans Am
Weapon: Friction inducer ray
Height: 7m/63.9ft
Quote: "The road is my playpen, and cars are my toys"

Speed: 7
Endurance: 7
Courage: 5
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 6
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 4
Charisma: 5

Profile: Cackling like a mechanical madman as he streaks down the road, Runamuck is a tumbling, twirling two-lane terror. He shows no regard for drivers sharing the highways with him. His freewheeling, frenzied approach invariably sends them scattering like leaves before a hurricane's winds. Spreading fear is his favorite pastime. But there's another, more sensitive side to Runamuck, although he expresses it in a most peculiar fashion: he's fascinated with Earth's junkyards. He can spend hours staring at one rusting wreck after another. In his own twisted way, Runamuck places the same value on these auto-graveyards as humans do art museums. His fellow Battlecharger, Runabout, attributes Runamuck's characteristic soft spot to "one quick-change too many snapping some cerebro-circuits." Considering Runamuck's personality, that's a diagnosis hard argue with.

Abilities: In car mode, Runamuck's maximum speed is 180 mph and his range is 600 miles. He transforms into his robot mode in .5 seconds. He wields a friction rifle, which shoots a beam that has the effect of dramatically increasing the kinetic energy of the molecules of any target it hits. Under these conditions, even the slightest movement of the target produces a tremendous increase in friction between its molecules and air molecules or anything else it touches. Flammable objects burst into flame; metals with lower melting points may even melt, or at least weaken. This effect, however, is only temporary.

Weaknesses: Runamuck's reckless ways often result in his transforming on ill-advised occasions. This leads to disabling injuries sometimes. He's also afraid of heights.

Sample Post(for both): The Battlechargers rocketed down the highway, toward one of the human settlements. Their mission? Just sow a little panic and destruction for 'target practice'. FINALLY Starscream was letting them. The main catch was that they had to make it look like some madman with access to explosives, or something similar. their holographic drivers were reckless teenage guys, the perfect excuse for crashing into stuff. That was when Jazz came in. He shot his flamethrower in a stream across the road, making the battlechargers stop short. Runabout transformed, firing his particle beam. Jazz dodged, the beam hitting a tree, which fell down in a burning heap. Runamuck was next, firing his friction inducer, which also missed, only to be disoriented by a bright flash from Jazz's grill beacon. He took another shot, which hit Runabout. Jazz crouched down, tripping Runamuck with a leg sweep, and jumping on top of him. Unexpectedly, Runabout fired a shot, his hands smoking from the excess friction.
"OWOWOWOWOWOW!!!" He yelled, dropping the gun, causing more friction. "Doesn't that thing of yours have an off switch?!"
"Why would I put one on it?!" said Runamuck, who had stood up when Jazz was shot at. He kicked at the autobot, and the two started in a melee. When the Autobot started to get the upper hand, Runamuck transformed, ramming into jazz at full speed. "Come on, let's GO!" he yelled, and Runabout followed, glowing red with heat.

Height: 32'

Profile: Rattling the air with the very roar of his engines, Thrust is one Decepticon who cares very little about deceit. He believes half a battle is won if he can "psyche out" his opponents by his mere arrival. He makes no attempt to be sneaky. His ability to suddenly and swiftly take off has enough power to level near-by buildings, and he delights in the havoc this ability wreaks. A loud-mouthed, pompous, braggart. Will claim victory as a battle is just beginning. In truth, his courage is bluster and noise as a strong counter attack by opponents will often lead to seeing Thrust's tail wings as he escapes into the sky.

Abilities: In jet mode, Thrust can fly at Mach 2.5, but can accelerate to twice that and hold for two minutes. Carries two concussion missile launchers and two compressed air rifles, each of which can punch a hole 1/4 thick armor from 1200 yards.

Weakness: Thrust is not very brave. If he accelerates two quickly he can cause his engines to stall.

Sample:
Thrust was on a routine patrol of the Alaskan pipeline. Thrust's VTOL design made it harder for him to blend in with other Earth jets. This was part of the reason Thrust hated Earth so much, that and he was constantly sent on patrol alone. If he were too be ambushed he would be dead in the sky!

As Thrust flew along, he was contacted by Soundwave:

"Transmission: Inbound. Thrust. Starscream has a mission for you."

Thrust delighted at the chance to do something other then watch a pipe all day long. He eagerly replied to SOundwave: "I await my commands Soundwave."

Soundwave replied, "Head to sector 7-g, mark 11. You will find a terrain jamming tower there. Starscream commands its destruction."

Thrust smiled at the chance for destruction and mayhem: "Tell the boss he can count on me."

With that Thrust accelerated at his top speed, mach 5. If one were watching from above they would see a vapor trail a full minute after Thrust was at that point. Thrust came across his target quick.

He thought to himself, "What a stupid place for a jamming tower. Right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. These flesh creatures must not be as evolved as Starscream thought. I'll have this place torn apart in no time!"

Thrust neared his target and slowed down to a speed below Mach 1. He wanted to make sure his targets were lined up in his sights. This speed was like a crawl to Thrust, completely unacceptable.

Something unexpected happened though. The natives saw Thrust coming on their radar. It's rather hard to miss a blip traveling at Mach 5. The base was prepared and they launched a volley of Anti-Aircraft guns at the Decepticon.

Thrust thought to himself, as he dodged the primitive weapons, "Has Starscream blew a fuse? I'm alone out here! I have no back-up and these flesh critters already knew I was coming! To the Pits with this!" Thrust revved his engines and accelerated past the tower protruding from the ocean. He accelerated up to Mach 5 under the tower and right next to a support beam.

In his cowardly retreat Thrust unknowingly obtained his mission objective. When he accelerated that quickly he created a sonic boom. The support beam he was next to crumbled to pieces. The entire tower plummeted into the ocean. He was quite happy with himself, took down the entire tower and didn't even fire a shot. Soundwave was the first to call into him.

"Transmission: Inbound. Thrust, your mission was a success. Starscream is pleased."

Thrust swiftly replied to the comm officer: "This means I have to go back to surveying the pipeline doesn't it?"

Soundwave replied to him: "Affirmative. Proceed: Immediately."

Thrust cursed to himself: "Slag! Should've taken some target practice at the flesh critters."

With that, Thrust was off again. He made careful notice not to return to quickly. Anything was better than watching a pipeline all day.

In answer to your question about stats, his tech skill was too high Tech Skill 7 indicates a char that is highly skilled with advanced technology, and is usually reserved for chars whose functions require engineering, programming, hacking, and the like. Also, his Charisma was too low to suit his function as a Psychological warfare specialist.

I've edited in the stats we used for Thrust in the previous game. Consider him Approved.

Understood. I was using the exact specs listed here on Seibertron.com. I thought charisma was too low myself, but tried to keep as official as possible. The tech skill you used makes a LOT more sense. Is placing Thrust in the comm center ok? Sorry for laste posts. I'm from Philadelphia and the Phillies in the Seires? :Life stops at that point.

Name: Seaspray

Allegiance: Autobots

Function: Naval Defense, Spy.

Alt. mode: Hovercraft

Weapons: Laser Cannons

Height: 15 ft / 4.5m

Quote: "Be unyielding as the ocean waves and your enemies shall fall."

STRENGTH: 3
INTELLIGENCE: 8
DEXTERITY: 5
SPEED: 6
ENDURANCE: 6
COURAGE: 10
FIREPOWER: 6
ACCURACY: 7
MELEE: 6
TECH SKILL: 7
CHARISMA: 8
RANK: Assigned by RPG moderators.

Profile: Shooting across the wave crests like a gleaming bullet, Seaspray performs his job with a zest unmatched by any of his fellow Autobots. This is because for him the Earth is an even more unique experience than for his comrades - his domain, the vast ocean, has no counterpart on his native Cybertron. And he loves the ocean. He loves the galaxy of creatures that inhabit its depths and he loves the freedom of movement its near-limitless expanse allows. He is saddened whenever it is necessary to revert back to his robot form on land. He also loves the thrill of naval battle, despite knowing that a single hit by enemy fire could send him to the bottom of the sea forever. It is a risk Seaspray finds as invigorating as the ocean air.

Abilities: As a hovercraft, Seaspray is capable of speeds up to 120 knots and has a 4000-mile range. He's equipped with various sonar and radar devices as well as underwater and surface-to-air laser cannons. He also has wheels that enable him to travel for short distances on land. In robot mode, he also has use of his laser cannons, which he can shoot through his hands.

Weaknesses: Seaspray is not very strong or mobile in robot mode - he is a liability as a warrior on land.

Sample Post: Seaspray was in paradise, here on earth zooming across the waves, not a care in the world or even the galaxy. What a shame he thought that it couldn’t always be this way, peaceful without the fighting, the death.
He felt his memory wonder back to Cybertron, back before the war, when he could spend days upon days like this, simply speeding across the waves for no reason at all. Oh well back to reality he thought as he came to first of two points that he had been ordered to scan to make sure there was no sign of Decepticons. He slowed down until he came to a complete stop then commenced his scanning of the area in front of him, once he had finished the scan. he found himself relieved by the fact that there was no sign of Decepticons in the area.

Once again he wished things could always be this way peaceful, he checked his internal processor and found he was making good time. Good maybe if I finish early I could spend the rest of the day cursing… he turned with ease and headed towards the east. He pushed his engine to the maximum and was in position in less then twenty minutes. Once again he stopped and began he scanning, as he scanned he found himself hoping almost praying to Primus that he would find no sign of the enemy, since he was so close to his day of relaxing cursing. But once the scan was complete his mood changed... Decepticons. Oh well it was nice while it lasted, he thought as he headed towards them ready for battle.

Alt. mode: Hovercraft

Approved. Welcome aboard. :)

RUNABOUT

Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-group: Battlecharger
Function: Shocktrooper
Alt. mode: Lotus Esprit Sport 350
Weapon: Particle beam rifle
Height: 7m/63.9ft
Quote: "A pretty car makes an even prettier wreck"

Strength: 5
Intelligence: 6
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 7
Endurance: 7
Courage: 7
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 6
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 4
Charisma: 5
Rank: TBD or 6

Strength: 6
Intelligence: 6
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 7
Endurance: 7
Courage: 5
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 6
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 4
Charisma: 5
Rank: TBD or 6

Runabout transformed, and fired his particle beam rifle, followed by Runamuck's friction inducer.

The sample post is not quite right. The style doesn't fit well with he format we use here. Why don't you ditch the action scene and show us some dialogue? I'd like to see some character interaction, especially since you're applying for a duo.

Doublecross

Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Supply Procurer
Alt. mode: Two-headed dragon
Weapons: 2 fusion-generated flamethrowers in mouths, rust-ray rifle
Special Abilities: Fuel efficient
Height: 25ft / 7.62m
Quote: “Decepticon destruction is my favorite sport…and mine, too.”

Strength: 1
Intelligence: 6
Dexterity: 5
Speed: 2
Endurance: 10
Courage: 9
Firepower: 6
Accuracy: 6
Melee: 7
Tech Skill: 6
Charisma: 2
Rank: 6

Profile: Although Doublecross has above-average skill at his actually job, he’s utterly unreliable in most other circumstances. His alternate mode was designed to allow each of his heads to process input individually to maximize efficiency, but an unexpected side effect of this was a split personality that now carries over even when Doublecross is in robot mode. Fellow Autobots are never sure “which” Doublecross they’re making an agreement with, and there is no guarantee the other personality will honor or even remember it. Many haven’t even noticed this defect yet and just assume Doublecross is inherently untrustworthy, which has prevented him from getting treatment. These problems don’t impede the ferocious and savage Doublecross as a warrior.

Abilities: Subject transforms into a monster form that can fly 80 miles per hour for over 800 miles. Each head in this mode has razor-sharp teeth and a fusion-generated flamethrower. In robot mode, subject wields a rust-ray rifle that corrodes enemy armor until it disintegrates. He is highly fuel-efficient but physically very weak.

Weaknesses: Subject’s split personality causes minor and major mishaps. Although he’s a fierce fighter, his lack of physical strength makes him vulnerable to an aggressive counterattack.

Denied. This character is not on the roster list, and is not well-suited to a covert Infiltration team. Addtionally, the stats seem to be off, and there is no sample post.

Hello,

I'd be interested in playing either Firecracker (the G2 Go-Bot) or Stepper (AKA Ricochet, the Japanese Targetmaster who's a recolor of Jazz). Would either of these be acceptable? If either of these character suggestions are acceptable, I'll do a full writeup for approval.

Thanks!

No. Niether is acceptible at this RPG. This is strictly a G1 Transformers game. Please refer to the canon roster list for playable characters.

Okay, so I've decided to apply for a Decepticon to round out my roster and to help out since we've lost a couple of great players. I've never played a 'con before so this should be interesting. Skywarp's my favorite seeker so I hope I get him. If there's anything I need to change, just let me know.

Skywarp

Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Warrior
Alt. mode: F-22 Raptor
Weapons: Variable-caliber machine guns/lasers and heat-seeking missiles.
Abilities: Can instantly teleport with a range of 2.5 miles.
Height: 31 ft / 9,46 m
Quote: "Strike when the enemy isn't looking."

Strength: 07
Intelligence: 05
Dexterity: 09
Speed: 09
Endurance: 07
Courage: 08
Firepower: 07
Accuracy: 07
Melee: 07
Tech Skill: 05
Charisma: 07
Rank: 06

Profile: Skywarp is the sneakiest of the Decepticons. On Cybertron, before the war decimated the planet, he was known to appear out of nowhere in the middle of peaceful Autobot cities to rain terror and destruction down upon them, just for the fun of it. He'll even use his teleportation powers to play a prank on a fellow Decepticon. Everyone enjoys this except the butt of his joke since Skywarp's sense of humor tends to be rather cruel and physically abusive. Furthermore, while Skywarp is far from stupid, he also isn't overly smart, requiring the continual supervision of his commander, Starscream, to be completely effective at his job.

Abilities: Like his follow Decepticon jet fighters, Skywarp can attain speeds of up to 3000 mph and more. But what makes him unique is his ability to instantly teleport himself a maximum distance of 2.5 miles. He also carries a heatseeking missile launcher and a variable-caliber machine gun. Skywarp can hold his own in ground-based combat better than the average flyer, and does not suffer the claustrophobia in close quarters that is common to many specialized air warriors.

Weaknesses: Skywarp's control of the accuracy of his teleportation power diminishes as the distance he teleports increases. As a result, if he's not too careful, he's likely to crash into things when he arrives at the location he's teleporting to.

Sample Post:

The mission was so simple even Skywarp couldn’t screw it up. He was sent to attack and destroy a Chinese naval ship that was out on a routine patrol in the South China Sea. Since the black and purple seeker’s alt mode was that of an American F-22 Raptor, the hope was that China would blame the United States for the attack and thus escalate tensions between the two nations to the point of war. And since both countries had nuclear capabilities, maybe they would completely destroy each other and most of the planet along with them. At least that’s what the Decepticons were hoping for. Then they could just swoop in and destroy the rest and take what they wanted.

Of course, it all sounded good to Skywarp, almost too good. He wasn’t exactly a deep thinker when it came to infiltration strategies and the like. He just did what he was told and left the thinking to his superiors. They were the ones that supposedly knew what they were doing. They were also the ones who decided to send Skywarp out on his first solo mission. He usually went out with either Thundercracker or Ramjet, but this time ‘warp was on his own. He was given the coordinates of the battleship and told exactly what to do. It was a simple task that only required one ‘con to complete, and Skywarp felt he was up for the job.

Using his teleportation power, Skywarp appeared out of nowhere directly above the Chinese vessel as it plowed through the rough waters below. He made a quick pass over the ship as the crew scrambled to their battle stations. The sight of so many little organics scurrying about down there amused the aerial warrior. Pathetic fleshlings, ‘warp thought as his came around into attack position. I think I’ll have some fun with them first. The seeker fired his machine guns across the bow of the naval vessel, striking several humans in the process. Skywarp laughed as they fell like cyber dominos. However, his fun was short lived when the ship responded to his attack by launching a missile directly at the seeker. This would not have been unexpected to most Decepticons, but to Skywarp it was a total surprise.

It was too late to take evasive action as the missile was almost upon him. So, Skywarp did what he did best and vanished into thin air. The missile soared through the empty space where the ‘con once occupied and was quickly gone from sight. The Chinese seamen were puzzled at the jet’s sudden disappearance. Had they destroyed it? If not, where did it go?

Their questions were quickly answered when Skywarp reappeared off the starboard bow. Not interested in toying with his prey anymore, the ‘con launched several of his own heat-seeking missiles at the ship. Within moments all had found their targets, striking the Chinese vessel across the bow and side. A series of explosions rocked the ship, rendering it completely defenseless.

Skywarp boomed overhead and came back around to finish the job. No mercy, fleshlings! He thought, sending another round of missiles at the ship’s stern. Those found their marks, as well, ripping through the vessel like Cybertronian tin foil. Many of the Chinese sailors jumped overboard as saltwater poured into the numerous gaping holes that littered the ship’s haul.

Within astroseconds the human vessel sank below the waves, as Skywarp continued to circle overhead. He watched as the little flesh sacks struggled about in the water. He wanted to kill them, but he had strict orders to leave survivors behind. That way they could go tell what they had seen and hopefully blame the Americans for the attack.

Satisfied with the success of the mission, Skywarp headed away from the attack site. Once he was far enough out, he teleported back to base with good news to tell his commander.

Re: New NEW Character Applications

Postby HardHead » Sat Dec 06, 2008 11:12 am

Okay, wasn't sure that Ironhide was taken, as dispite him being listed as free, Tas has been posting as him for awhile. Is this basically filling in for an important character whilst he's still free or is he actually taken? If it's the former, here's my profile entry. Same as in the list, but with a few tweaks (and different sample post)

Ironhide

Allegiance: Autobots
Function: Security Officer
Alt. mode: C4500 pickup truck
Weapons: Heavy laser rifle, chemical emitters
Special Abilities: Advanced scanners
Height: 30ft / 9.1m
Quote: "It ain’t the years. It’s the mileage.“

Strength: 8
Intelligence: 7
Dexterity: 4
Speed: 4
Endurance: 9
Courage: 9
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 8
Melee: 8
Tech Skill: 6
Charisma: 7
Rank: 8

Profile: The Mission Commander for the Autobot Earth team, Ironhide is one of the oldest and toughest Autobots. "They don't make them like they used to" is an apt description of Ironhide -- he's yesterday's model, but he's built to last. He’s been a soldier for as long as anyone can remember. The old veteran is a close confidant of Optimus Prime, and before him, Sentinel Prime: he is infact one of the few surviving Autobots who watched as the recently murdered Sentinel was brought in to Iacon, not long after Prowl and his unit found him in the ruins of Kaon. He's personally promised him that he'd personally take Megatron down for the indignities he inflicted upon the former Prime.

Never one to mince words, Ironhide prefers to communicate his intentions through direct action. He can’t abide those “young punks” who talk a good game, but never follow through. Time and conflict have taken their toll, and he’s seen better days physically. But Ironhide is still renowned for his toughness and determination.

While he can be a hardliner and a curmudgeon, Ironhide is a bit of a softy deep down. He’s got a big spark, and makes friends easily. Never one to back down from a challenge or exhibit fear, he’s still capable of showing up any Autobot or Decepticon upstarts who dismiss him as an old relic. On the other hand, he's always there to impart his eons of experience and wisdom to those who look like they could need it. Be it through a quiet word or a fist delivered to the faceplate, depending on the sort of badge they have.

Abilities: Ironhide possesses great physical strength and above average intelligence. But it’s his eponymous toughness that really sets him apart. His super-dense trithyllium plating is lined with radiation dampeners making him nearly invulnerable to physical and radiation attacks.

He is typically armed with a heavy laser rifle. His arms house emitters that can fire pressurized liquids up to 1,000 feet. He carries a variety of useful liquids, including super-heated metal, a self-igniting petrochemical spray, potent acids, molecular adhesives, and his favorite, liquid nitrogen.

As a security model, Ironhide is equipped with advanced scanners. While capable of performing a number of functions and searching much of the electromagnetic spectrum, his equipment is primarily intended to scan for munitions, hidden enemies, concealed weapons and the like. None of his scanners except his radar suite has a range of more then a mile. His radar has an effective range of 50 miles.

His alternative mode is a massive crew cab pickup in a dark metallic red. His paint is chipped and he’s covered in dents, but his engine purrs like a well-fed tiger. He can reach speeds of approximately 100 miles per hour.

His Holomatter Avatar is a surly gray-haired Caucasian male. He speaks with a southern accent and smokes cigars. He sometimes presents himself as a military officer, retired or otherwise.

Weaknesses: Ironhide isn’t getting younger. Ratchet has patched him back together so many times that many of his systems are jury-rigged and bypassed to the point where they no longer resemble their original configuration. While the old soldier runs just fine, rarely requiring more than a tune-up...Primus help him if he should need a major repair. Or if anyone but Ratchet is forced to make sense of his internal workings.

Ironhide is also one of the slower Autobots, and while he can keep pace with most terrestrial vehicles on a straightaway, his maneuverability is rather poor, especially at high speeds. He’s also a gas hog, lacking the fuel efficiency of younger models.

Sample post

For some reason, Ironhide was somewhat uneasy as the Ark 18 began to slow down as it approached Earth's orbit, finally seeing the planet for the first time. Intelligence had indicated that it was a Class A world, rich in resources and native life. A target he knew for a fact the decepticons just couldn't resist.

"Prowl, engage the landing thrusters, Sideswipe, i want a dang good neutron scan of the local airspace, i don't want any stupid hunks 'o rock hittin' us whilst our rad shields are engaged.." he said plainly, reclining slightly in the command chair. He still didn't know why he felt this uneasy. Afterall, he'd done this hundreds of times in the past. Some of those occasions he'd been with some of the 'bots with him now, others with those now either dead, or far, far away on separate assignments. Sometimes they'd won, encouraging the natives to develop their own defenses through their advice and experiences. Sometimes they'd even managed it without ever alerting them to their presence. However, there were the times when they'd lost. That mission he was on with Kup, Hardhead and Brainstorm for instance on Kaplan Binary. It hadn't helped they'd been caught in a five solar cycle time distortion on-route, for by the time they'd arrived the planet was already in bad shape. The decepticons had won then, and damn did they profit from it: a few hundred million tonnes of Selenium Ore that managed to fuel their future expansion into the Qatar Quadrant.

Kaplan wasn't too dissimilar to earth, come to think of it.

As the vessel entered orbit, the brightness of their entry into the atmosphere highlighting the old warhorse's features, he activated his console and made a few calculations. If the decepticons had been here for a few demi-vorns, no doubt they would of reached Stage Two by now, and would be fully integrated into society. Not the major disadvantage they sometimes had, but they were behind, and they'd struggle to claw back onto an equal footing.

Dang it, if only Sentinel Prime had listened to his advice and PERSONALLY foresaw the initial capturing of Megatron. He could of killed this monstrosity before it had chance to grow and develop. Now, with Cybertron a lifeless husk, their race dwindled to practically nothing and the decepticons still pushing to win this war, he had to ask himself: was this going to be worth anything?

Well, he hadn't quit before, and dang it to hell, he wasn't going to quit now.. Now, if only he could stop Sunstreaker from being such an air headed proto...

"Ironhide?" Sideswipe asked. "You fallen asleep again? We're about to enter the lower stratosphere.." he added. Immediately shuffling up into a less prone position, the vet scowled towards the other autobot.

"What you 'yappin on about young 'un? Was just restin' my eyes, thats all, now get that cloak on and lets find somewhere to park this bucket 'o bolts!" he snapped grumpily, glancing back and onto the main view screen. A massive land mass appeared before them, various terrain types already visible. From barren rocky areas to massive areas of forest, it was diverse, and admittedly beautiful...

This wasn't going to be easy, it really wasn't. Not that he wasn't going to let the others know about his concerns. Nor would he focus on them. He had logistics to plan, scouting parties to establish. They needed to engage the teletran system to find suitable forms to deguise themselves as, and then figure out what the hell was going on down there.

Before it was too late to save it. If they could find more resources in addition to that, all the better.

Ironhide was Tas' character until he made the decision to quit due to personal issues he is facing, therefore Ironhide as well as Soundwave are both free to be applied for.

Your application looks fine to me. Approved.

Ratchet

Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Medic
Weapon: Static Laser Gun
Alt. Mode: Ambulance
Height: 27ft / 8.1m
Quote: "You break it, I'll remake it."

Strength: 4
Intelligence: 8

Melee: 3
Tech Skill: 10
Charisma: 8
Rank: 7

Profile: [From the personal datatracks of Optimus Prime, Autobot Commander] Quite simply, Ratchet is the single greatest medical practitioner among the Transformers. But that label doesn’t begin to describe who he is as a mechanoid. In fact, Ratchet’s attitude and personality belie his exceptional skills. He’s a light-hearted mechanoid known for his ability to convert anything into a good time. Watching him rally the troops for a party and step to the head of the line for an Energon-stand might seem to contradict most medical stereotypes, but I understand that Ratchet wants to keep the Autobots healthy mentally as well as physically. His loose wit and coarse language help everyone to relax, and don’t infringe on his gentle and compassionate operating technique. Ratchet makes sure he’s the Autobots’ friend first and their doctor second, and his iron determination has kept him stoic in the face of war--and this same determination often extends to making sure that his comrades . Whether it’s because of our friendship or his own personality, Ratchet is much quicker to question my decisions than some others. I feel he does this out of genuine concern in most cases (despite his colorful language), and I’m glad to have someone around who’s willing to speak his mind to me.

Abilities: Ratchet is highly intelligent, and his skills as a surgeon and doctor are unmatched. Only a lack of materials or time constraints can hinder him from achieving anything he sets out to do. He is fully versed in all Transformer physiology as well as that of most known galactic species. He is also a competent builder, often working with Wheeljack and other like-minded Autobots to build a new object or weapon. He is equipped with assorted medical equipment, including laser scalpels, arc wielders, electrical sensors, diagnostics, and more. The laser scalpels can be used for offensive purposes, but they aren’t very powerful. In combat situations, Ratchet usually opts for a standard laser rifle to make up for his lack of inherent firepower.

Ratchet’s Holomatter Avatar is a jovial looking, heavy-set blond male.

Weaknesses: Ratchet isn’t very strong or resistant to enemy weapons. Occasionally, his desire to party can interfere with his work. His tendency to question orders, or even act on his own, can grind on the circuits of those like Ironhide. Like most Autobots, Ratchet didn’t plan on becoming a career soldier. Thankfully, he has adapted to his job as a warrior and combat medic.

Sample Post

"You're a quiet one," Ratchet chuckled. The Autobot he'd been working on lay unconscious on his work bench. The medic focused on his patient's right arm's servos as he deftly spliced together torn circuitry with his soldering laser. "Business has been slow, though, so I'm glad you could make it,"

He continued on at a blurring speed. There was mech fluid dripping from the room's entrance, and the room, to be generous, looked as if the soldier had fought the battle right inside it. The path to the door littered with loose wires and broken armor. Tools scattered about. Old computers on top of newer ones and even older ones on top of those. Medical pads tossed about. And Ratchet stood hunched over, straightening up only after closing the armor over the patient's arm.

"This chassis is a mess. What the slag were you thinking?" he joked, lifting up the chest armor - or what remained of it. Keeping in stride, he changed to his energon scalpel. Sparks shot up before reaching in. "Why you little seg faultin'..." he cursed as he retracted his arm. He got back to work, shutting the patched-up armor when done and awakening the 'bot.

"Relaxing nap?" he said, putting his arm on the barely-conscious patient's shoulder and offering an assuring smile. "Free stay's over now, chief."

Ramjet

Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Warrior
Alt. mode: Maroon and White Delta Wing Jet Fighter
Weapons: 2 cluster bomb launchers (jet), 2 laser beam rifles (robot)
Height: 31 ft / 9,46 m
Quote: “If it flies, crash it.”

Strength: 08
Intelligence: 05
Dexterity: 08
Speed: 09
Endurance: 09
Courage: 08
Firepower: 07
Accuracy: 07
Melee: 08
Tech Skill: 04
Charisma: 06
Rank: 05

Profile: If it hurts – someone else or him, it doesn’t matter – Ramjet likes it; he gets his kicks from pain. He’ll punch, bash, or ram anything he can just for the thrill of it. He particularly loves to knock other aircraft out of the sky. Whether a civilian airliner or Autobot flyer, it makes no difference to Ramjet. He loves the feeling of smashing into something at high speed, and he’s built to survive these collisions with little damage – unlike his foes. Ramjet is particularly fond of the surprise his victims feel, since they rarely expect another jet to willingly crash into them. Ramjet strives to keep the skies clear of anything he considers unworthy of sharing the air with him, and he’s insufferably boastful and arrogant about it.

Abilities: Subject has great strength, and amazing endurance and resistance to damage. He is heavily armored throughout his body and especially his nosecone, which can shrug off an impact with a 3-foot concrete wall at 1,500 mph with no ill effects. In jet mode, he flies at speeds of Mach 2.8 and is armed with two cluster bomb launchers. As a robot, he’s armed with two high-powered laser rifles. A glitch in his pain receptor wiring gives him and amazingly high pain threshold.

Weaknesses: Subject’s delusions of invulnerability and masochism cause him to overestimate his resistance to damage. His pride makes him refuse to admit it when this occurs, resulting in his sustaining severe damage rather than admitting he couldn’t take it.

Sample Post:
The skies were clear and the sun bright. All Ramjet could see was his prey, which hadn't seen him. Ramjet had seen the Autobot known as Sunstreaker driving down a human highway. The Autobot's yellow body could be seen from Ramjet's altitude. The insane Decepticon warrior was confident that he was going to catch the pathetic Autobot off-guard.

Ramjet began to angle himself to impact the yellow car in the side. As he ascended to get maximum velocity, he noticed a human airliner. "Unworthy trash." Ramjet increased to full speed. He was so distracted by the Autobot, that he had not noticed the human vessel. Ramjet aim straight at the heart of the plane. He ripped through the vessel. The airliner split into twain as the fighter sped through it. "Yahaa!" The destruction of the aircraft and its passengers pleased him. Human vessels were not as sturdy as he was. He continued his path back towards his original target.

He was still unnoticed by the yellow sports car when he got close. Ramjet reached his maximum velocity right before he collided with the Lamborghini. Scraps of metal flew everywhere and pieces of the car that Ramjet had hit flew into others and started causing pile-ups on the interstate. Ramjet skidded across the concrete. He slowed to a stop just off of the free-way. After a brief moment or recovery, Ramjet transformed to survey his destruction. Humans were everywhere, screaming and running. Ramjet walked up to his target, blasting rescue vehicles and laughing at his work. To his pleasure, this was one of his best days of mayhem. He noticed that the car he thought was Sunstreaker was just a human car, well what was left of it. After taking potshots at the pathetic humans, Ramjet transformed and headed back to Decepticon HQ.

Motto: "It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue."
Weapon: Multi-Function Sword
WORK in progress

Soundwave

Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Communications
Alt. armored police communications truck
Weapons: radio wave generator/ concussion blaster
Special Abilities: Highly advanced sensors (especially audio and wireless); ability to read electrical impulses (telepathy); photographic memory; Assualt team (formerly refered to as cassettes)
Height: 40 ft / 40ft(thats the vehicles actual length)
Quote: "Sensors indicate the battle is ours"

Strength: 08
Intelligence: 09
Dexterity: 06
Speed: 04
Endurance: 08
Courage: 06
Firepower: 06
Accuracy: 07
Melee: 09
Tech Skill: 10
Charisma: 05
Rank: 08, or tba

profile

Decepticon communications expert. it is said he can hear a pin drop from a mile away and known for extracting the information from his enemys brainwaves. stores any information he hears and often uses information he knows to blackmail and extort others to further his rank in the decepticons. An opportunist who is despised by almost all other decepticons, and often the target of retaliation. Locates autobots and relays their positions to the rest of the decepticons.

abilities

Soundwave can not only detect, but jam radio transmissions all across the energy spectrum, a talent that makes him excellent at his position as Decepticon Communications Officer, and Soundwave also possesses the ability to monitor electrical impulses within brain circuitry - i.e. he can read minds. In addition, he has a photographic memory thanks to the vast data storage capacity of the magnetic disks in his chest compartment.

Soundwave is trained in Crystalocution and is currently being trained in the arts of Metallikato and Circut-Su, but far forom being a master of either of the latter. He is also armed with a shoulder-mounted radio wave sensor and hand-held concussion blaster. Soundwave is physically strong, well armored, and tough compared to most Transformers and can plow threw most obstacles in his way in vehicle mode.

However his biggest asset are his assualt team (formerly cassetticons, but altered cosmetically to fit his new theme) which while each is pretty specialized allow him to work as a team and actually get a variety of jobs done.

weaknesses

He is amongst the slowest transformers with top speeds of 80-90 mph in vehicle mode, leaving him stuck in bad situations from time to time. He also has a severe lack of off road capibility, as he needs hard ground or paved streets, leaving him unable to drive in most rugged enviroment. He also has too much compassion for the well being of his cassetteicons, and make repairing them a priority. The common target of assualt by the other decepticons, because he has information about their plots for leadership. Often over-thinks and over analyzes his information.

i still need my sample post but how's it look so far?

also as soundwave, i am able to order the cassettes as long as i dont be absurd or munchkinized, right? or do i just deploy them and the mods/GM control their their actions? I also wanted to use them for message delivery and combat if needed. and could/should i write mini bio's/stat blocks for them if approved?
I would entend to use them as a covert swat/recon team.

Lazerbeak has just reported back with the location of a undefended human oil drilling well in Arizona. With the low supplies of energon this could be a valuable resource. Calculations show it should be several cycles before the autobots man converge on the location.I must wait untill they are thouroughly distacted to ensure aquisition of the resource.

"Sir I have intercepted an autobot transmition. The autobots are preforming systems overhaul in 19 mega-cycles. We should usethis opportunity to attack their base. Their systems will be off line for 4 cycles, allowing us to breach their defense systems undetected. I should remain here to defend the base."

That should give me all the time i need.

Later in Arizona, at a oil drilling rig:

Scans show no cybertronian life forms. Sensors indicate the drill is moving at 96% of calculated speed and 92% of calculated depth, the pitiful humans must have had some unexpected problems. Calculations show a 98% probabitlity of victory. I must aquire the resources and return to base before I am discovered.

"Lazerbeak, Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy eject, eject, eeeject. Operatiion: Destroy the humans."

i just want to make sure this is a go so far. i know this is g1 but the few changes i made (i.e. alt mode) still fit the character theme. Should i change to the nokia tablet and use the pre-written profile? I also changed the speed to match that of the new alt mode (2 points higher) and lowered charisma (2 points lower) to compensate. I don't mind either way, was just trying to put my own spin on things.

also i'm paying homage to the g1 cartoon with speech pattern whenever possible.

sorry this sites rp-ing is new to me, but i am an experienced role player

Stalker, a Autobot unique to his own design. This is the Autobot that they call on when they want no trace of anything happening. This Autobot is a bounty hunter called for the most extreme measures, trained in brute tactics by the Dinobots, hand to hand combat by Springer and martial arts and marksmen ship skills from Mirage. As the skies darken upon the night a pair of eyes are seen but no noise is made. He sits and watches his prey as they move around, this enemy has been targeted for destruction by other unknown sources.

All any one ever needs to know is he does is job and does it well, they never ask how and he never tells all he takes is the enemies head as trophy as his brutality towards Decepticons is feared across the galaxy, his number one goal is to take down a Bruticus the ultimate enemy and claim his head.

Most Autobots don't know of his existence because it goes against what the Autobot code stands for, the only ones that do are the ones that have meet him and most of them don't even know who he really is except for the higher ranking Autobots and even if others did know about him they wouldn't want to.

Stalker is a one man army and the only time a Decepticon knows or hears about him is when they're screaming his name out loud.

Stalkers major problem is that he is to high strung and has to be alone because for one he knows to much, has seen something he shouldn't have and also he cant trust any other bot even most of his fellow brothers in arms. The only way you can gain his trust is to work side by side with him and because only a select few have he can not trust any one.

I would recommend taking a lower ranking Transformer to start out with since you are new to the game and this style of RPing. Maybe once you have gained some experience you can try and apply for Soundwave again.
