Profile: Long Haul isn't too thrilled with his unglamorous role in the Decepticon cause, but he understands its importance. Along with his fellow Constructicons, his function is to help build whatever is necessary in order to continue the Decepticon onslaught. However, he'd much prefer the excitement and glory that comes with being a full-time warrior. But, he knows better than to tell anyone of his secret desire. Megatron allows no dissent among the Decepticon ranks.

Abilities: In dump truck mode, Long Haul can carry up to 90 tons for 1200 miles. He can also add on a dual heat-seeking missile launcher. In robot mode he carries a laser pistol.

Weaknesses: Long Haul is slow and sometimes his unhappiness reduces his effectiveness. He's sensitive to teasing about the mundane nature of his job and can often be goaded into fights in which he may be clearly overmatched.

Sample

Long Haul drives down the highway carrying a large load of equipment. Pissed...again! He has to do yet another transport job to bring a bunch of equipment to some project he doesn't understand...or care about. He'd rather be out bashing in the face of an Autobot. Instead he's stuck on the road bringing equipment to Megatron's latest project.

He only knows it'll most likely fail, again. Just like everything else. But he can't say anything, express his opinion. Not unless he wants to be vaporized. Instead, he's stuck pondering as he drives down the highway...day dreaming...

Long Haul, face to face with an Autobot...Ironhide. He blocks blow after blow from Ironhide, laughing! "You really think you can hit me puny Autobot. HAH! I'm the might of the Decepticon army. I will crush you!"

Long Haul punches Ironhide in the face, knocking his head off. It finally comes to land in the excavator bucket of Scavenger! "HAHA! SCORE ONE FOR LONG HAUL" Long Haul yelled loudly. He punches the air infront of him, shadow boxing like he's a hero...a champion.

A loud honking is heard, a big rig. Optimus Prime? Ultra Magnus? NEITHER! Long Haul snaps out of his day dream and...

Infront of him is a big rig, coming right at him on the highway. Long Haul's drifted to the wrong side of the road. He quickly steers back into his lane, barely avoiding a collision.

"Ugh, I've got to get a grip. That was a close one!"

Long Haul notices a dirt road just off the highway, this is his exit. He turns off the highway, nearly pushing a car off he road. He speeds down the dirt road, getting to dangerous speeds. He's obviously still pissed....really freaking pissed. As he comes up to the Decepticon construction site, he doesn't slow down...no. Instead, he barrels past the Decepticon's as fast as he can in an attempt to cause a ruckus, a scare!

Closer and closer to the project, Long Haul goes right for it...and then at the last possible second, he slams on his break, skidding through the dirt. Clouds of dust flying up from his tires, it's almost like a sandstorm has hit the area. Long Haul finally skids to a stop...mere inches from colliding with the construction project. He laughs hysterically!

Solid first choice. Approved. You can make an entry in the roll call thread and then start posting with the other Constructicons aboard the Thanatos at your leisure. Welcome and have fun :D

Profile: The universe is full of unnatural twists and turn through the never ending river of time and fate. In the evolution of a brilliant young medical student, Flareup, such twists have intertwined her with the war and savagery that has pervaded the Milky Way Galaxy. She graduated at the top of her class as a field medic after only two semesters in the program. Her efforts were graced by an obsessive fanaticism with detail and a drive to plan out every stage of her progression. She wanted to help on the Home Front and insure that those whom she so cared for, would have be able to return home and be treated with a warm smile and a bubbly laugh to ease their pain. After her graduation, such as it was, she was assigned to the front under the command of Elita-1 and her crack tactical forces deployed in the outer rim. Her direct superior had been Firestar, one of the most renowned Search and Rescue specialists in the force. Unfortunately, her time under the protective umbrella of her teacher did little to inspire her. The unpredictability of the operations in which she took part only served to drive a small wedge in her initial desires of being a field medic and a small but growing ember that began to burn ever brighter in her breast.

It was a mission in the rain forests of some unnamed planet. The Decepticons had surrounded their position. Their air forces were destroyed but the ground battalion of Vehicons still advanced to the small outpost where Flareup, Firestar and one infantryman named Scoop, held fast defense. Firestar was tending to the base commander as Scoop and Flareup were forced to make for a narrow bridge that was the last approach that linked the outpost to the invading Vehicon battalion. Flareup watched with amazement as the practiced soldier rigged the bridge to blow. While the effort he expended considerable time, as he had to find the most effective rigging point for the charges, the time was mesmerizing for Flareup. The concentration, the methodical prodding of materials and structural integrity of the bridge’s supports, the placement of the charges, all of it resulting in the spectacular explosion of the bridge over the chasm. Flareup was hooked.

It was from that point onward, Flareup began to secretly study the ins and outs of demolitions. From techniques to technology and its applications, she absorbed every tetra quad of information on the subject. It wasn’t until a surprise visit by her mentor arrived in her quarters was it that her secret was exposed. She admitted that her passion for medicine had been diminished, and through a little subtle prompting by Firestar, she began to delve deeper into her fascination with the subtext of demolitions and destruction. Not entirely out of violence, of which she admitted was a necessity that was practically unavoidable in either situation, but what fascinated her was the detailed planning and calculations necessary to achieve success.

It was with that conversation, Flareup was introduced to her current mentor Chromia, the combat officer of Elita-1’s force. Her weapons package was updated to better fit a front line soldier and her frame was slimmed down to incorporate more advanced sensors and tactile scanners. She was given higher grade storage capabilities to carry more explosives and gear.

Flareup’s personality is very off putting to most every Autobot who is familiar with her work. She is fairly young and inexperienced with the ways of the universe, almost naïve and innocent. If there had not been a war on, Flareup would probably be found more at home in Altihex or the Malls of Iacon. She is bubbly and very positive in her outlook on everything. She genuinely loves her new found work to the point of an obsession. She can be careless at times and though she is capable of defending herself or being on the offensive front line, during operations there are times where she does require an escort. Again not because she is not a capable fighter at both long or close ranges, an expert in various hand to hand melee techniques to protect herself during infiltration phases, no its because she literally loves the mechanics of her work so much that she doesn’t pay attention to the dangers of the field around her. More than once Chromia or Firestar or even to a lesser extent Moonracer, have had to pull her from her own fires. Of course Flareup simply giggles a thank you and offers a friendly smile.

She has become the little Sister of the group.

Abilities: Flareup is equipped with advanced tactical sensors that allow her to ping the positions of Decepticon patrols, soldier placement and possible weaknesses in formations. She is also equipped with tactile and structural integrity sensors. She can paint a target and comprise the materials of which it was comprised and determine the structural weak points where the weight bearing loads are the highest. With sensors in her palms, she can determine the composition of the materials and their structural strengths and weaknesses. No sense in using more explosives than one needs to take down a bridge, a wall or a fortress.

She is a capable fighter, probably closer to an expert in the melee arts, thanks to her constant sparing with Chromia and to a lesser extent, before their separation… Scoop. She has something of a soft spot for the Infantryman and admires him for his dedication and adaptability. She doesn’t like using melee weapons and prefers hand to hand unarmed combat, it leaves more room for bombs and detonators after all. In vehicle form she is capable of reaching around 400 mph and sustaining it for hours on end. Equipped with the latest in fuel reclamation technology, she is able to recapture exhaust and filter out unspent energon particles to be returned back to her fuel stores, giving her a longer deployment time on the battlefield. The rest of her exhaust passed though a coolant filter to further silence her heat signature.

Weaknesses: She is extremely focused when it comes to an assignment… or at least when the time comes the actual placement of the charges or rigging a structure for demolitions, so much so that at times she fails to take into account her own proximity to the blast radius or localized danger from guards. She requires an escort at times while she sets to work, more to remind her to get out of dodge rather than to protect her from external threats.

Alright, this is what I was able to dig up on this character as it relates to special abilities:

Abilities: In vehicle mode, Flareup is capable at traveling at 330 mph. She maneuvers readily and can utilize both her missile launcher and laser canon in this form. These two weapons combine to form a powerful weapon for Flareup in robot mode. Her skin is made of special composite that allows her to withstand temperatures of up to 8,000 degrees centigrade Flareup is an expert at the use of "smart" explosive charges to destroy a target.

I'm not seeing anything in there about her possessing advanced, weakness-detecting sensor suites. The language used about being able to find the weak point in "any" target is also pretty broad and could be even more broadly interpreted in-game. If you have some other source you came across to plug in these abilities I'll be happy to take a look at it. Otherwise strike 'em from both the abilities sections. Beyond that, looks solid.

Profile:

As the oldest and most seasoned warrior on Elita-One's team, there's little Lancer hasn't seen and even less she couldn't find a reason to complain about. Once a bright-eyed engineering student of the Science Academy, eons of stalemated conflicts and fruitless guerrilla assignments have left the femme with little patience or positivity, though it has made a capable warrior out of her. Chromia likes to joke that Lancer has spent too much time around her close friend Huffer, and that his attitude has rubbed off on her. She's not wrong: Lancer can often be found complaining about how a repair job or a rear guard assignment is impossible or pointless while she is simultaneously performing the task with aplomb. Elita knows that Lancer's grousing attitude is simply how the femme is able to deal with the neverending war, and that the armored warrior's ages of experience and impressive damage threshold are invaluable to her team. And her outlook on life has other tactical advantages as well: no matter the size or scope of the plan, Lancer will not hesitate to point out any flaws she sees in it.

Abilities:

In a squad infamous for quick strikes and hit-and-runs, Lancer is the toughest and most well armored member of the team. Her top armor layer is coated in an ablative ceramic that is built to diffuse incoming attacks, and her armoring underneath the coating is still considerable. Her handheld Lance Launcher magnetically accelerates pointed, ferrous nickel slugs at near-sonic speeds and with little flash or noise in case their mission requires stealth, and her Kinetimetric Mace can absorb small amounts of kinetic energy and release it for a more powerful attack.

Weaknesses:

Lancer is not particularly fast or nimble, which can be a large disadvantage on some of the squad's missions that require speed. Her ablative armor coating is labor intensive to replace and maintain, and while she is more than capable of handling the repairs herself it does make it hard to fix on more drawn out engagements.

Sample Post:

Lancer grumbled over the open maintenance panel. The Avante Garde had gone through, what, seven routing couplings since their last Repair Dock? She would've suspected sabotage...had they run into any Decepticons this past decacycle. The most recent had been a little scuffle over Perahnel-III with some of Skyquake's recon units...and then nothing. Just a long unbearable silence.

No, this had more of the look of a recurrent malfunction. Flipping the coupling out of place, and bopping the Plasma shunts' vent switch. Lancer tugged the mechanism loose...

Only to discover that the problem was a plasma buildup that wouldn't drain. The vibrant blue gout of superheated plasma leapt from the panel opening and dashed over Lancer's shoulder.

Cursing loudly, Lancer reached for her injured side, the plating already cooling. Had she been any other member of the team that little mishap would've probably landed her in the medbay for cycles...but thanks to her armor cover, Lancer was pretty sure she would only be inconvenienced for the handful of breems it would take to switch out the plates.

Still, it didn't stop her from being put out. Very little did.

"Slagging junkhole!" Lancer barked, slamming the ruined panel down with the heavy end of the spanner she was carrying, "It's like you don't want to be fixed! Seriously, what side of this war are you on!? Cause I haven't been tagged like that since Klo!" she shouted and the inanimate and partially melted component. Still, she at least felt a little better...

Special Abilities: Enhanced Audio and Visual sensors

Courage: 9.0
Firepower: 7.0
Accuracy: 8.0

Charisma: 8.0
Rank: 7.0

Profile: Nightbeat is a tough, no-nonsense type who is not afraid to break the rules to get what he wants. And usually what he wants is the solution to some complicated mystery and he'll go anywhere to get it. He feels as comfortable driving down a dark alley as he does cruising along a six-lane superhighway. He has an intuition for finding the truth that defies all known theories of programming. In trying to account for Nightbeat's remarkable talent, Optimus Prime suspects that the circuitry in the digital detective's logic center may accidentally have been wired in a way contrary to accepted robotic engineering procedures. But the Autobot Leader is still at a loss to explain why Nightbeat thinks the way he does. Nightbeat prefers to work alone. Most partners don't understand his methods and his reasoning, and often wind up hindering his investigations more than helping them. But being a good soldier, he doesn't complain about his fellow Autobots... instead he tries to compensate for their investigatory deficiencies by working even harder.

Abilities: Nightbeat carries two photon pistols and a high-powered plasma blaster with infra-red sight. He also has enhanced audio and video sensors that aid in his investigatory work. From five miles away, he can hear a screw fall and count the threads on it. In car mode he can travel at speeds of up to 620 miles per hour and has a range of 1500 miles.

Weaknesses:
Nightbeat's overconfidence in his abilities typically persuades him that he can handle almost any situation by himself. Given his preference for working alone, he often suffers damage that a more team-oriented Autobot might avoid.

Weapon: X-Ray Laser Cannon
((Character is based of this guy: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Chameleon, and was hoping to put him with the Earthbound Autobots gathering to battle the Fallen...))

Name: Chameleon
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Spy
Alternate Mode: Green Mercedes-Benz SL550 2D Convertible Roadster with Blue Hardtop
Weapons: Tri-Barreled Laser Rifle
Special Power: Visual Blending Circuitry
Height: 26ft / 7.92m

"Observation is required for all rational action."

Intelligence: 8
Dexterity: 8
Speed: 7
Endurance: 5
Courage: 6
Firepower: 6
Accuracy: 7
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 8
Charisma: 7
Rank: -

PROFILE:

Chameleon is always observing, even when surrounded by allies. A consummate spy, Cham tries to keep tabs on everything from enemy resource movements to the morale of his fellow Autobots. He doesn't do it mean-spiritedly (well, observing the Autobots at least), but because he knows that even in their downtime or the quiet stretches between missions, his friends and teammates are in a constant war for their very survival. So he's always watching, taking notes, and keeping track of every variable he can account for in case it becomes relevant. Some may call it neurotic or off-putting...if Chameleon wasn't so at peace with it. To him, it's simply a job just like any other; a function he happens to be really good at. And it's hard to pin him down on anything overall; depending on the company he's keeping, Chameleon can come off as an easygoing rule-breaker or a by-the-book Autobot. He does his best to match his temperament and behavior with those around him, to more seamlessly blend into the background. Those closest to him know at his spark he's a very sensitive and empathetic soul, who has fallen in love with things like the drive-in theaters of Earth...but given how little Chameleon really opens up, those individuals could probably be counted on one hand.

ABILITIES:

Foremost of Chameleon's abilities is the Visual Blending Circuitry built into his armor. His entire surface can project realistic color matches to his surroundings, allowing Chameleon to effortlessly hide himself from visual scans. While the Circuitry doesn't hide his heat signature, it does block his profile from a lot of other types of standard Cybertronian scanning equipment. Chameleon's joints, transformation components, and feet are all lined with sound reducing insulation, making him capable of moving nearly silently during his scouting missions. His Tri-Barreled Laser Rifle can track and fire on three different targets within a 180 degree arc, making it the perfect weapon for clearing out enemy hallways or cutting himself an escape route.

WEAKNESSES:

The engineering of the Visual Blending Circuitry means that Chameleon's armor is thinner than most Autobots of his size, and the silencing insulation that quiets his movements also means his servos aren't the most powerful either, making him less strong than many of his counterparts. His Tri-Barreled Rifle is prone to being 'locked' with the barrels in one position, and requires more maintenance than usual for a weapon of its power.

SAMPLE POST:

Watch out! They're attacking the Maser Facility! the lantern-jawed scientist shouted from the old drive-in screen as the enormous decomposing monsters shuffled around him and the bright-eyed leading lady.

"They're indestructible, Dr. Scott!-"

"-and they're everywhere!" Chameleon finished the line for the actress, maybe a little louder than he should've as a talking car in a drive-in theater, but he was practically the only vehicle present; a little slip was something he could justify, just this once.

Primus, there was something about these movies he'd discovered on this little planet. The worlds they built, or the characters...something about them had Chameleon here every chance he could find, when his patrols were done and he could slip away from HQ. He knew, of course, he could be doing something more substantive with his time, but...

"Sir, the creatures! It's like they're...intelligent, somehow...!"
"My God..."

Maybe it was the people, the organic Humans he caught over and over in different movies. Playing different parts, being different characters...was there something in there he could commiserate with...? Hmm...maybe he should just enjoy the movie. It was finally getting to the good part, as the enormous decomposing monsters made their way up the mountain and-

*zzkt!*
Chameleon, this is Jazz. You catch me? I need you Uptown on the pronto.
*zzkt!*

Chameleon sighed. Of course the call would come in right at the climax. It felt as scripted as the flick he'd caught a half-dozen times in the past month. flipping his engine on with an almost imperceptible rumble, Cham flipped on his Blending camouflage and slipped past the guard at the front of the drive-in he'd slipped past to get in. Getting back to the road, he turned the Camo off, flipped his headlights on, and roared down the four lane blacktop.

"Reading you loud and clear, Boss. I'm en route as we speak."

Name: Broadside
Allegiance: Autobot

Bio
Broadside was once prone to internal dysfunction when travelling over liquid, as well as being terribly afraid of heights. Before the triplechanger process made him master over both environments. Now Broadside is comfortable rocketing through the air or ploughing through the sea but he still enjoys complaining about it. He’s a skilled and determined warrior but his comrades wish he would keep his random complaints to himself.

Abilities
Has the slowest transformation speed of all the triple changers transforms into a B2 spirit bomber or a Freedom class combat ship. He can carry other transformers and launch helicopters from his deck maximum speed of 40 knots and a range of 15,000 in this mode. Armed with heat seeking missiles and a pulse cannon in jet mode. Subject uses the pulse cannon as a rifle in robot mode, along with a Vibro axe that shatters targets with a series of high frequency vibrations. As a Robot he’s very strong and well armoured.

Weaknesses
Because of the expansion involved his transformation to his ship mode the armour is thin in this mode.

Snapdragon

Allegiance: Decepticons
Sub-group: Horrorcons
Function: Interceptor
Alt. mode: Dragon / Futuristic Jet
Weapons: Gyro-gun / Laser Cannon (Robot and Dragon mode), Four Laser Cannons (Jet Mode)
Height: 36ft / 10.98m
Quote: "If it doesn't get you dirty, it's not worth doing."

Melee: 09
Tech Skill: 06
Charisma: 06
Rank: 06

Profile: Wading up to his neck in grease is Snapdragon's idea of a good time. And if a grease pit isn't handy, he'd be just as happy cracking open an enemy and bathing in his fuel. Not surprisingly, Snapdragon drips a petrochemical trail wherever he goes. His penchant for lolling around on his back in sludge pools gives many the impression that Snapdragon is lazy and difficult to motivate. He is. But he also hides a hair-trigger temper and is prone to extreme shows of violence. Cross him and he'll rip your chest plate off with a lightning-fast slash of his claws. When Snapdragon says he doesn't want to be disturbed, he means it.

Abilities: In jet mode, Snapdragon uses dual turbo-booster rocket engines to reach speeds of 8800 mph. Four independently targetable laser cannons mounted on his tail wings make him a challenge to anyone flying within 12 miles. In reptile mode, Snapdragon has heat-treated carbon-steel claws and teeth that can cut through virtually any substance. In robot mode, he uses two gyro-guns, which interferes with the balancing circuitry of any robot its beam hits. Both of these gyro-guns can also be used as laser cannons. Snapdragon is also extremely intelligent which is made more dangerous by the fact that his lazy nature hides that intelligence.

Weaknesses: Snapdragon's can be prone to bouts of extreme laziness. When relaxing in a grease pit it can be a very difficult process to get him motivated enough to do whatever task is required and it usually triggers his hair-trigger temper on whoever dared disturb him. Apeface usually has an easier time of it but it is still not a quick process.

Lancer looks good to go. You know where to start her ;)

Nightbeat

Allegiance: Autobots

Alternate Modes: A blue Porsche 959 with flame detailing.
Weapons: Two Photon Pistols, High-Powered Plasma Blaster
Special Abilities: Enhanced Audio and Visual sensors
Height: 29ft/ 6.096m
Quote: “Truth is revealed in the smallest detail."

Strength: 5.0
Intelligence: 8.0
Dexterity: 8.0
Speed: 7.0

Courage: 9.0
Firepower: 7.0
Accuracy: 8.0
Melee: 7.0
Tech Skill: 6.0

Have fun experimenting. :D

Name: Chameleon
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Spy
Alternate Mode: Green Mercedes-Benz SL550 2D Convertible Roadster with Blue Hardtop
Weapons: Tri-Barreled Laser Rifle
Special Power: Visual Blending Circuitry
Height: 26ft / 7.92m

Nice find. And good fleshing out of a very bare bones character. Have fun with him.

Charisma: 6

Alt. mode: Dragon / Futuristic Jet
Weapons: Gyro-gun / Laser Cannon (Robot and Dragon mode), Four Laser Cannons (Jet Mode)
Height: 36ft / 10.98m

Strength: 10

Endurance: 08
Courage: 07
Firepower: 08
Accuracy: 08

I was asked to NPC this guy for the storyline.

Talon

Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-group: Predator
Function: Advanced Fighter
Alternate Modes: Fighter Jet
Weapons: Hand Held Missile Launcher (Also Usable in Vehicle Mode)
Height: 33ft/ 10.05m
Quote: “Don’t get me mad… when I get mad I get even.”

Strength: 10
Intelligence: 04
Dexterity: 06
Speed: 08
Endurance: 09
Courage: 08
Firepower: 08
Accuracy: 06
Melee: 07
Tech Skill: 03
Charisma: 03
Rank: TBD

Profile: Talon is, in essence, a grunt. However, he is a very powerful grunt which lead him to be chosen for the Predators. His lack of intelligence means that he often limited to being order to undertake straightforward attack but he excels in these. His brute force makes him a dangerous enemy. He is vile tempered and vicious, attempting to mow down everything in his path as a terrifying wall of attack in battle. The entire war, in general, exists as an excuse for Talon to engage in his fun. He leaves the politics and tactics of it all to others and just enjoys himself.

Abilities: Talon is among the physically strongest members of the Predators along with Stalker. The sheer brute force he possesses along with the power of his Missile Launcher makes him a dangerous foe. He is fast in his jet mode but not particularly skilled as a flyer. He flies like he fights, straight ahead and Primus help whatever gets in his way.

Weaknesses: Talon’s low intelligence can be a problem in operations. His straightforward combat style is often effective due to his sheer strength but wily opponents can give him problems. His temper can lead him to charge ahead when tactically he should not.

Function: Spy/Counter-Intelligence
Alt. mode: Formula 1 Race Car
Weapons: Rocket-Dart Hunting Rifle, Electro-disruptor
Height: 28ft / 8.5m
Quote: “Who and what I am, I hide."

Courage: 05
Firepower: 06

Melee: 09
Tech Skill: 06
Charisma: 05
Rank: 07

Profile: Before the war, he was a member of affluent Cybertronian society, with his own large estate and high-priced friends. He enjoyed the finer things in life: vintage energon, swank evening events, and turbofox hunts on the grounds. But when the war started, he was forced to choose sides and found himself banded with a group of commoners he didn't really understand.

Mirage is not thrilled about being with a bunch of rough-and-tumble freedom fighters like the Autobots. He feels the war, even after all these millions of years, is beneath him. War is not, after all, how civilized, erudite beings conduct themselves. He often questions the Autobots' violent means, and not-so-secretly hopes they and the Decepticons can get along. Autobot leader Optimus Prime must constantly cajole him into continuing his service with the Autobots, but Mirage feels it may be a losing battle. Because of this, he has been labelled by a few others as a Decepticon sympathizer. Despite his coolness to the cause, Mirage is a surprisingly effective and deadly fighter and an even more effective intelligence gatherer, which is the role he much prefers. He is always there when the Autobots need him.

Upon arrival on Earth he selected the rather unorthodox alternate mode of a formula 1 racer. He has refused to change it, saying it is the only mode that befits his speed and agility. When deployed he can simply change his appearance with his electro disruptor. His holoavatar is a young handsome blond man of European descent wearing sunglasses, driving gloves, expensive clothes and shoes and a long scarf.

Abilities: Mirage carries a back mounted electro disruptor that bends photons and other waves so that he can render himself invisible or even change his physical appearance, which he can sustain for up to six minutes. All of this contributes to his effectiveness as an intelligence agent. He can also hit a screw head dead center from 200 yards with his armor-piercing hunting rifle, making him one of the finest natural marksmechs in either faction. It shoots liquid-fuel-powered darts. In car mode, he tops out at almost 250 mph. He is a practitioner of several elegant and deadly melee fighting styles, combining various forms (Diffusion, Crystalocution, and so on) into his own style that emphasizes the quick, quiet neutralization of opponents.

Weaknesses: He's unsure of the Autobots and their cause, and consequently cannot always be fully trusted. Optimus Prime is well aware of his coolness to the group, but considers him too valuable to let go. Though he’s capable of talking his way past the most vigilant of sentries, Mirage can be something of an antisocial jerk around his fellow Autobots (whom he just barely considers his fellows). As well, he’s not the bravest mech you’ll ever meet.

Charisma: 08
Rank: 05

Profile: “Looks like some pigeonoids can't find their nest." That's how Trailbreaker describes a full-scale attack by a battalion of flying Decepticons. He'll make light of anything, no matter how dire the situation, and has been known to cross the optic circuits of Huffer while he's in his rest mode. Even Huffer laughed at that one. He's the Autobot cheerleader, always ready with an uplifting word to boost the morale of a comrade.

But there's a darker side to Trailbreaker. He is the most fuel-consuming Autobot and thus believes he is a liability to the group. He often has volunteered to be left behind in battle situations rather than use up precious resources. He'll sometimes privately mope about his handicaps and forget about his responsibilities as a consequence. But his bravery and defensive prowess are unquestioned, and he can usually recover his wits in time to save himself and his comrades. His lack of self-esteem is apparent to his commander, who continually reassures him of his value.

Abilities:
Trailbreaker possesses great strength and above-average intelligence as well as incredible resistance to physical damage. He has great skill at his function and is tactically adept. In his Toyota Land Cruiser mode, he has a top speed of 80 MPH, and that’s with great difficulty. But what he lacks in speed, Trailbreaker makes up for in off road capability. He can drive over almost any dirt road or rocky terrain with relative ease.

Furthermore, Trailbreaker has a head-mounted projector, allowing him to transmit signals on 64 frequencies simultaneously. He uses it to transmit and jam communications, interfere with many types of electronics, and create an invisible and nearly impenetrable force field. This force field can be projected up to a 30-foot radius that withstands penetration by all forms of projectiles, all wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation except those of extremely high intensity, and temperatures as high as 800,000 degrees Centigrade. He is armed with a standard laser-rifle, but can also use his wrist sockets to launch high-explosive missiles.

Weaknesses: His high fuel consumption and slowness of movement make Trailbreaker particularly vulnerable in certain situations and contribute to his low self-esteem. His force field can be broken down by a continued, sustained assault of enough force. The larger the force field is made and the more damage it has to withstand, the more fuel it takes to maintain.

SAMPLE POST:
(The below isn't supposed to abide with all the rules of the the continuity of this RP)

A Toyota cruiser rode across the rocky landscape of Utah, driving over the dirt in the air covered by the dust. The vehicle descended a fairly steep bluff with ease, and stopped in front of a dark, wide cave. Suddenly the cruiser's doors moved, it's trunk opened, and it's hood split. The metal and steel twisted and moved, forming a giant humanoid shape. It was a robot transformer.

The black and white robot entered the cavern, and what would be the car's headlights turned on to light the darkness. "Fragging dust storm...Hound, where are you?" said the bot. A reply came in comm, "Just go a bit deeper, Grapple will help you in."

The bot continued into the dark cave, sometimes having to crouch to pass through the tighter areas of the hollow. Another voice soon appeared, coming deeper from cave, "Trailbreaker! Over here! Here!". "Grapple! Is that you?" said the black bot, he continued in and saw smaller, yellow one, running towards him. "Yeah, it's me Grapple! over here Trailbreaker, Hound is inside." said yellow bot.

The two continued in, and entered a large open area in the cave. It well-lit up by the autobots inside, who made the area into a workplace. "Hound! There you are!" said the black bot, Trailbreaker. "You finally found your way in? Good, because we have some things to do in this cave" said Hound. "So why did you bring me here again?" said Trailbreaker. "There seems to be some energon here, but this cave looks promising, there could be enough to keep us supplied for a meta-cycle! We just wanted you to help in the mining, go with Grapple into the tunnel over there" directed Hound and pointed, "Brawn and Pipes are mining in there too. Go get your equipment and help them".

"Ah..scrap! This is taking too long!" said Brawn, who was getting impatient. "I might as well just punch those rocks!"
"Well...Hound said that we will have some help coming, so keep drilling-" said Pipes, but was interrupted by Trailbreaker, who just entered with Grapple. "You said help? Here comes help!" said the Trailbreaker. "It's about time you two came!" said Brawn.

Suddenly the cave shook, and rocks began to fall from on top of the bots. "The cave is collapsing?!" exclaimed Grapple. "Duh! Now run!" shouted Brawn, however it was too late, there was a loud thud, and large rocks fell on them. But they were were all surprised when they noticed they were not on the ground, crushed by the rocks. Trailbreaker stood tall, his force-field protecting them from the rocks. "It seems like the cave isn't so happy, eh? Let's get out here"

Looks workable. Approved. You can start him on Earth. It looks like your roll call post needs an update, but beyond that you should be good to go.

A quick, very minor tip from reading your sample: unless your sentence is intended to say "it is"--use "its" instead of "it's".

Motto: "Well, I'll be a Cybertronic bolt-bat!"
Weapon: Poison-Tipped Missiles
Dead End

Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-group: Stunticons
Function: Warrior
Alt. mode: Porsche 911 model year 2011
Weapons: Compressor Air Rifle, Trunk-Mounted Double-Barreled Compressed Air Cannon
Special Abilities: Dead End emanates a radar signal that allows him to detect the movements of any vehicle or robot within a 200-mile radius as well as map surrounding terrain.
Height: 26 ft / 7.93 m
Quote: "We are all just food for rust."

Strength: 7
Intelligence: 6
Dexterity: 8
Speed: 7
Endurance: 7
Courage: 9
Firepower: 5
Accuracy: 7
Melee: 7
Tech Skill: 6
Charisma: 3
Rank: 5

Profile: The most encouraging thing Dead End is capable of saying before combat, is that he hopes he doesn't suffer too much when his inevitable death comes. Pessimism is a way of life for Dead End, whose reliably dour mood has become a source of humour among his fellow Stunticons, particularly the mean-spirited Motormaster. He'll tease Dead End about his incessant moping and bizarrely intense maintenance and beautification routines, which only serves to further crush Dead End's broken spirit. Dead End likes to keep himself looking and feeling perfect so that when the end does arrive, he'll leave an attractive corpse to let everyone know what they'll be missing. He finds conflict pointless since everyone will wind up dead eventually, but he becomes a surprisingly fearless and ferocious fighter when stirred to combat. That's the only time his outlook improves because it focuses Dead End on his desire to live: he may be convinced he'll become inoperative eventually, but he doesn't want to do it anytime soon.

Abilities: Subject possesses significantly above-average strength and above-average intelligence. Once roused to fight, he's a highly effective warrior. As a vehicle, he can reach a top speed of 220 mph. His internal radar system allows him to track the movements of vehicles and robots within a 200-mile radius; he can use the information to map terrain, enemy positions, and troop movements. He can use this knowledge to lead enemy combatants into traps before they can figure out the lay of the land. Subject can deploy a double-barreled compressed air cannon as a vehicle; in robot mode, he uses a handheld compressed air rifle. Even the smaller rifle is capable of delivering 40,000 psi of pressure.

Weaknesses: Subject is extremely difficult to motivate into fighting, often requiring a direct verbal or physical assault (from the Autobots or even Motormaster) before he answers the call to arms.

Name: Roulette
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Sharpshooter
Alt. mode: Quick Pursuit Car which looks a lot like a Dodge Viper.
Weapons: High-Velocity Sonic Blaster
Special Abilities:
Height: 26’
Quote: "Life should be as easy as hitting bullseyes."

STRENGTH: 5
INTELLIGENCE: 8
DEXTERITY: 7
SPEED: 7
ENDURANCE: 7
COURAGE: 9
FIREPOWER: 8.5
ACCURACY: 10
MELEE: 5
TECH SKILL: 7
CHARISMA: 6
RANK: 7.5

Profile: Roulette grew up in a small village in Cybertron alongside her twin sister Shadow Striker and their slightly younger sister Silhouette. They lived a peaceful life until their village was attacked by a group of nomadic invaders. The twins were saved only by becoming trapped by falling debris which hid them from the attackers. Sadly, both watched everyone else in their village be killed including Silhouette. This was a devastating moment in the lives of the two young Transformers which would take both in different paths. Both would become driven by the anger and sadness they felt on this day. While Shadow Striker sought power, Roulette sought to do everything she could to prevent others from experiencing what Silhouette did.
At first she became a bounty hunter until she managed to get herself an invitation to that years’ IntraFormers Sharpshooting Competition but she was unlucky to pick a year with huge names participating. She put on a fantastic performance, beating even legends like Optimus Prime and Megatron but eventually finished second to Sureshot. It was Sureshot who drew all of the attention and glory of the event and Roulette was left largely ignored. The only mechanoid who seemed to notice her performance was a representative from the Academy for Cybertronian Law Enforcement who was impressed with the combination of her skill and humility. She was offered an opportunity to join which she eagerly accepted seeing it as an opportunity to make sure that no one goes through what she has. She became a highly effective enforcement officer and when the war broke out she joined the Autobots.

She is well aware fate has guided her sister on an opposing path. However, even though both are now supposed to be enemies they still care for each other deeply which can sometimes cause problems for Roulette. She continues to be protective of her twin which causes some to distrust her, fearing that she might one day join Shadow Striker.

Abilities: Roulette is the greatest sharpshooter among the Transformers that no one has heard off. Her skills continue to be dismissed by some of the Autobot forces due to their inability to accept that a female’s marksmanship could so surpass their own. She can hit the head of a pin at a distance of 6 miles. She utilizes a powerful and accurate high-velocity sonic blaster. Her shoulder-mounted deflecto-shield can absorb and redirect the energy of her enemy's attacks.

She transforms into a quick pursuit vehicle which can move with great speed and maneuverability. She is an excellent driver and when she is pursuing a fugitive it is very unlikely he will manage to lose her. Her deflecto-shield is integrated into her vehicle mode in the form of her front windshield which also provides her with protection from weapon fire and allows for effective ramming. Also, the way she transforms keeps nonessential components in the outward parts of her vehicle mode. She could take serious damage without compromising the main robot structure.

Weaknesses: As a sharpshooter and law enforcement official Roulette has no significant weaknesses. She is smart, quick, and deadly accurate in both. However, her sister is always on her mind and she feels the pressure of having a sibling on the opposing army. Her sister’s actions lead some to distrust her. While the front of her vehicle mode is very well protected due to the placing of her shield, the flanks and rear are less armored.

Sample Roleplay:
Grethy cursed his luck as he continued to run down whatever alley he could find. All he wanted to do was complete one little energon bank robbery. He got his loot left the building and saw some skinny female looking at him. He laughed when she told him to freeze but that faded once she had shot away the gun from his hand and the knife from his side. Weaponless, he decided to run and even that turned into a nightmare. Every time he looked back another shot would come at him. The first hit his left hand gyro which forced him to drop the energon and the second his hit left knee gyro which slowed him down. Now came the third. As he thought he would leave the alley to lose himself in the crowd he suddenly saw that same girl appear, take aim, and shoot him. The shot just barely scratched the right side of his head.

“Hey there slow poke. Ready to stop running now?” Roulette said with a grin. “I can always shoot again and this time not miss on purpose.”

He raised his hands.

This application is too much from the movie universe and would not fit in this game. You might be able to rework it to be more of a traditional fanmade. I would recommend choosing a lesser canon for your first taste of the game so you can see how things flow and what fits. The writing sample itself was solid. My understanding is you've already been contacted about some recruiting potential in that regard so I'm eager to see what comes from it.

Sideways is very intelligent, being an effective hacker and often surrounding himself with his larger allies. To help tip the odds in his favor, he developed various devious traps such as the Graviton Mine, slowing his targets to a crawl. He is very dexterous, being skilled at moving quickly and quietly. Sideways is capable of traveling over 200 MPH in vehicle mode.

Weaknesses: Sideways is a coward, with good reason. He has low endurance compared to most of his compatriots, and isn't very charismatic, preventing him from being an effective leader. Sideways has mediocre strength, leaving his punches lacking in power.

"Demolisher, I've got the info Soundwave wanted pulled."

"Good, you've got some time to get out. I've got them on the run".

The door on the corner of the room slid open, three fully armed stepping through, their weapons trained on Sideways.

"Hands up Decepticreep!"

There was no other way out of the server room. Sharp razors unfurled from the wheels on his arm. Sideways dashed towards the door, slicing at the trio as he sped past. The purple Decepticon emerged through the door battered, but not beaten. Sideways quickly transformed and sped down the hall, when random guard emerged from a room on the right. Seeing the Con speed towards him, see runs towards the alarm across the hall.

"Outa my way!"

Sideways pick up speed, smashing into the incidental Autobot and driving strait out of the window, falling into the war zone below. Luckily for him, the Autobot softened his landing.

"Demolisher, were outa here!"

"Decepticons, were pulling back. Glory to Megatron!"

"Glory to Megatron!"

Sideways sped down the causeway, with Demolisher and Co in tow. A small Autobot strike team sped of a entry ramp not seeing the him teammates behind them. A few cannon shells took care of them. Once they were in the clear, Sideways lit his beacon, signaling the dropship to descend. They boarded with haste. Soundwave was onboard.

"Do you have it?"

"Yes."

Thank you for your input. With the sample I was going for a more WFC feel. I can see how the app was to movie inspired though. Perhaps through in some UT Sideways would help. Thinking about applying for Wingspan, one of the Decepticon Clones.

Profile: Within Cliffjumper burns the spark of a hero and a dedicated Autobot. On the outside he's a paranoid, trigger-happy jerk with serious impulse-control problems. Cliffjumper utterly hates the Decepticons. He also hates traitors. And anybody could be a traitor. Therefore, Cliffjumper hates everybody. It's unclear if he hates traitors more than he hates Decepticons, but it's at least a neck-and-neck thing.

Abilities: Cliffjumper uses a laser pistol.

Weaknesses: He is a impulsive type that can do things without thinking about it. Mostly he ignores the orders from leaders or commanders.

Sample Post: ''Ironhide? Can we please attack the decepticons when we see them?'' said Cliffjumper beseeching when they are driving at a mountain. ''Nope we can't ignore Optimus his orders. We must obey them. said Ironhide was back.

A little time later they see Dirge, Thrust, Ramjet on patrol. ''Decepticraps! Let me handle that. After i am done they can't fly anymore. said Cliffjumper impulsive without thinking about Optimus his orders. He transforms into Robot Mode and is trying to blow them out of the air. The three seekers are turning around and are flying right to the Decepticon Base to tell Megatron that there are two autobots at a close distance from the base.

''Look what you have done!'' said Ironhide ''Now we can't make a suprise attack anymore with Optimus and the other autobots.''
''I had them almost'' said Cliffjumper while ignoring Ironhides reaction.

Profile: Groundspike is a bulky, rugged Decepticon who transforms into an engineering tank. Painted in a simple reddish-brown camo pattern, he is not overly fussed with appearances and does not have any unnecessary ornamentation on his frame. His face is buffed and scratched from hard work in tough conditions, and his right eye has been replaced with a cluster of lenses and cameras for structural analysis during building work (though it is too slow and clunky for use in combat). Despite the size of his alternate mode, his actual body isn't that huge, with a lot of it forming a "backpack" in which he holds his many engineering tools.

Groundspike is a fairly simple bot, but not a dumb one- he just doesn't like to needlessly complicate otherwise simple matters. Before the war he was a civil engineer, designing and building the structures that made Cybertron great- not the great towering citadels and statuary halls of Kaon, nor the burnished golden domes of Iacon, but the simple things, the things that really kept the planet alive- bridges, walls, spaceports, power stations, and the like. When the war came along and every able-bodied Decepticon was forced into the effort, Groundspike decided he'd join the fight doing what he did best- building. As such he joined the Combaticon Engineering Corps, and learned to repair gun emplacements, build fortifications, create entrenchments, demolish ruins and otherwise use his skills for a combat role.

As such, he does not usually attend skirmishes himself, generally turning up after the battle is over and help with the reconstruction and fortification of captured territory. Given the resources and a little assistance, he could probably turn a wreckage-strewn battlefield into a fully-fortified encampment in a day or 2. Whilst he is primarily a designer and director, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty and assist the workers in actually building stuff. He's also remarkably good at repairing stuff, and whilst he lacks the knowledge to work as a medic he is fully capable of repairing his comrades' equipment.

He isn't incapable of fighting, however- in a firefight he is invaluable for his expertise in picking good positions to hold, and he is armed with auto-deploying defensive structures such as turrets and barricades, which are a great help when under fire. He also has a "Piledriver" slug pistol, a weapon that fires extremely dense metallic rods at high speeds, allowing for good stopping power whilst avoiding collateral damage. He also has a Cybertanium-headed pickaxe, which whilst technically a construction tool is just as useful for bashing in chestplates.

Whilst he is loyal and obedient- he has a lot or trust in Megatron and is highly supportive of the Decepticon cause- he isn't particularly keen on the war. He doesn't even hate the Autobots all that much, provided they don't damage something he's spent ages working on. Really, he fights because he's told to and because he hopes he can bring the war to an end sooner, so he can go back to designing infrastructure and making Cybertron a better place to live- provided it still exists of course. He actually admires a lot of human architecture, and is impressed by its hardiness and functionality despite its primitive technology base- in fact he regularly takes notes of the buildings he encounters on Earth for inspiration in later projects. Despite his lack of enthusiasm for the war, he is well liked by his peers and admired for his resourcefulness and his attitude towards his fellow Decepticons. He does as he's told, but is always willing to give advice and assistance to his comrades, and has a dry sense of humour- he once joked that the only reason he didn't join the Constructicons was that green really didn't suit him.

Abilities: Groundspike Can deploy small self-erecting support structures from his backpack to support allies. These will power down over time and must be collapsed and re-deployed to move. The units he can deploy are shield generators, automated slag repeater turrets and barricades. There is a limit as to how many structures he can deploy at a time- 1 shield generator, 3 turrets and 5 barricades. (Note to mods: I'm not sure what this would cost in ability points or if it would be acceptable, I just thought it suited his role as an engineer.) He is also skilled at repairing machinery and structures, and is highly adept at designing and building fortifications.

Weaknesses: Groundspike is rather slow in vehicle mode, and far too heavy to do any sort of acrobatics. He is not a terribly skilled combatant- he can defend himself, sure, but he is hardly a master of warfare. He's also a bit too sentimental for his own good- he generally tries to avoid causing unnecessary damage to human settlements or non-combatants, something which can irk more warlike Decepticons.

Sample post:

It had been a long day, and Groundspike was tired.

He and his team had been spending all day erecting a small, fortified encampment over a recently-demolished Autobot outpost. First they had to sweep away the remains of the shattered watch tower (which had been toppled by artillery) and then proceeded to uncrate the dropped-in "flatpack" walls and bunkers, sort out the components, prepare the ground for their placement, get them in position, assemble them, secure them in place...It was simple work, but it was tedious. Groundspike much preferred working from scratch with raw materials, building walls and towers brick by brick, plate by plate, and tailoring everything exactly to the requirements. These modular fortifications were convenient, but awfully dull, and they didn't allow for nearly as much creative freedom. It wasn't really like he could complain though; he had designed the damned things after all. He just wished the Decepticon top brass hadn't liked them so much...

"In the name of Primus..." he grunted, sitting down on an empty crate with a clank. "That took longer than it should have."

He flipped open his data-journal, skimming through the pages of things to do and stuff to remember. One page read "Call Buzzcut" with an attached photo of a coyly-posed Decepticon femmebot clad in a black and yellow paintjob and holding an angle-grinder. She was a femme he met a while ago on a starport and shared a drink with; she seemed awfully clingy and insisted he wrote down her communicator frequency. Another contained a list of parts that needed restocking, although most of the items had been ticked off. Finally there was today's entry- the schematics for the encampment. Comparing the blueprints to the finished product, everything seemed in order. Yes, he had done a good job.

But wait, wait a minute. Looking back he realized there was something wrong. One of the turret emplacements that connected to the wall had been assembled in completely the wrong place- whereas it should have been positioned outside the wall, instead it was pointing into the camp, rendering itself completely useless. There had obviously been a mixup when they were putting it together.

Groundspike sighed and picked up his megaphone.

"Boys, we dun goofed." he announced as he gestured to the misplaced turret, his voice blaring out with a burst of static from the megaphone. "Fire up the cranes again..."

He was met with a collective groan as the workers realized their mistake.

Engineering was certainly a bit more calm than fighting...but it sure wasn't easy.
