Profile: Within Cliffjumper burns the spark of a hero and a dedicated Autobot. On the outside he's a paranoid, trigger-happy jerk with serious impulse-control problems. Cliffjumper utterly hates the Decepticons. He also hates traitors. And anybody could be a traitor. Therefore, Cliffjumper hates everybody. It's unclear if he hates traitors more than he hates Decepticons, but it's at least a neck-and-neck thing.

Abilities: Cliffjumper uses a laser pistol.

Weaknesses: He is a impulsive type that can do things without thinking about it. Mostly he ignores the orders from leaders or commanders.

Sample Post: ''Ironhide? Can we please attack the decepticons when we see them?'' said Cliffjumper beseeching when they are driving at a mountain. ''Nope we can't ignore Optimus his orders. We must obey them. said Ironhide was back.

A little time later they see Dirge, Thrust, Ramjet on patrol. ''Decepticraps! Let me handle that. After i am done they can't fly anymore. said Cliffjumper impulsive without thinking about Optimus his orders. He transforms into Robot Mode and is trying to blow them out of the air. The three seekers are turning around and are flying right to the Decepticon Base to tell Megatron that there are two autobots at a close distance from the base.

''Look what you have done!'' said Ironhide ''Now we can't make a suprise attack anymore with Optimus and the other autobots.''
''I had them almost'' said Cliffjumper while ignoring Ironhides reaction.

This application is unfortunately not what we're looking for with Cliffjumper.

Profile: Groundspike is a bulky, rugged Decepticon who transforms into an engineering tank. Painted in a simple reddish-brown camo pattern, he is not overly fussed with appearances and does not have any unnecessary ornamentation on his frame. His face is buffed and scratched from hard work in tough conditions, and his right eye has been replaced with a cluster of lenses and cameras for structural analysis during building work (though it is too slow and clunky for use in combat). Despite the size of his alternate mode, his actual body isn't that huge, with a lot of it forming a "backpack" in which he holds his many engineering tools.

Groundspike is a fairly simple bot, but not a dumb one- he just doesn't like to needlessly complicate otherwise simple matters. Before the war he was a civil engineer, designing and building the structures that made Cybertron great- not the great towering citadels and statuary halls of Kaon, nor the burnished golden domes of Iacon, but the simple things, the things that really kept the planet alive- bridges, walls, spaceports, power stations, and the like. When the war came along and every able-bodied Decepticon was forced into the effort, Groundspike decided he'd join the fight doing what he did best- building. As such he joined the Combaticon Engineering Corps, and learned to repair gun emplacements, build fortifications, create entrenchments, demolish ruins and otherwise use his skills for a combat role.

As such, he does not usually attend skirmishes himself, generally turning up after the battle is over and help with the reconstruction and fortification of captured territory. Given the resources and a little assistance, he could probably turn a wreckage-strewn battlefield into a fully-fortified encampment in a day or 2. Whilst he is primarily a designer and director, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty and assist the workers in actually building stuff. He's also remarkably good at repairing stuff, and whilst he lacks the knowledge to work as a medic he is fully capable of repairing his comrades' equipment.

He isn't incapable of fighting, however- in a firefight he is invaluable for his expertise in picking good positions to hold, and he is armed with auto-deploying defensive structures such as turrets and barricades, which are a great help when under fire. He also has a "Piledriver" slug pistol, a weapon that fires extremely dense metallic rods at high speeds, allowing for good stopping power whilst avoiding collateral damage. He also has a Cybertanium-headed pickaxe, which whilst technically a construction tool is just as useful for bashing in chestplates.

Whilst he is loyal and obedient- he has a lot or trust in Megatron and is highly supportive of the Decepticon cause- he isn't particularly keen on the war. He doesn't even hate the Autobots all that much, provided they don't damage something he's spent ages working on. Really, he fights because he's told to and because he hopes he can bring the war to an end sooner, so he can go back to designing infrastructure and making Cybertron a better place to live- provided it still exists of course. He actually admires a lot of human architecture, and is impressed by its hardiness and functionality despite its primitive technology base- in fact he regularly takes notes of the buildings he encounters on Earth for inspiration in later projects. Despite his lack of enthusiasm for the war, he is well liked by his peers and admired for his resourcefulness and his attitude towards his fellow Decepticons. He does as he's told, but is always willing to give advice and assistance to his comrades, and has a dry sense of humour- he once joked that the only reason he didn't join the Constructicons was that green really didn't suit him.

Abilities: Groundspike Can deploy small self-erecting support structures from his backpack to support allies. These will power down over time and must be collapsed and re-deployed to move. The units he can deploy are shield generators, automated slag repeater turrets and barricades. There is a limit as to how many structures he can deploy at a time- 1 shield generator, 3 turrets and 5 barricades. (Note to mods: I'm not sure what this would cost in ability points or if it would be acceptable, I just thought it suited his role as an engineer.) He is also skilled at repairing machinery and structures, and is highly adept at designing and building fortifications.

Weaknesses: Groundspike is rather slow in vehicle mode, and far too heavy to do any sort of acrobatics. He is not a terribly skilled combatant- he can defend himself, sure, but he is hardly a master of warfare. He's also a bit too sentimental for his own good- he generally tries to avoid causing unnecessary damage to human settlements or non-combatants, something which can irk more warlike Decepticons.

Sample post:

It had been a long day, and Groundspike was tired.

He and his team had been spending all day erecting a small, fortified encampment over a recently-demolished Autobot outpost. First they had to sweep away the remains of the shattered watch tower (which had been toppled by artillery) and then proceeded to uncrate the dropped-in "flatpack" walls and bunkers, sort out the components, prepare the ground for their placement, get them in position, assemble them, secure them in place...It was simple work, but it was tedious. Groundspike much preferred working from scratch with raw materials, building walls and towers brick by brick, plate by plate, and tailoring everything exactly to the requirements. These modular fortifications were convenient, but awfully dull, and they didn't allow for nearly as much creative freedom. It wasn't really like he could complain though; he had designed the damned things after all. He just wished the Decepticon top brass hadn't liked them so much...

"In the name of Primus..." he grunted, sitting down on an empty crate with a clank. "That took longer than it should have."

He flipped open his data-journal, skimming through the pages of things to do and stuff to remember. One page read "Call Buzzcut" with an attached photo of a coyly-posed Decepticon femmebot clad in a black and yellow paintjob and holding an angle-grinder. She was a femme he met a while ago on a starport and shared a drink with; she seemed awfully clingy and insisted he wrote down her communicator frequency. Another contained a list of parts that needed restocking, although most of the items had been ticked off. Finally there was today's entry- the schematics for the encampment. Comparing the blueprints to the finished product, everything seemed in order. Yes, he had done a good job.

But wait, wait a minute. Looking back he realized there was something wrong. One of the turret emplacements that connected to the wall had been assembled in completely the wrong place- whereas it should have been positioned outside the wall, instead it was pointing into the camp, rendering itself completely useless. There had obviously been a mixup when they were putting it together.

Groundspike sighed and picked up his megaphone.

"Boys, we dun goofed." he announced as he gestured to the misplaced turret, his voice blaring out with a burst of static from the megaphone. "Fire up the cranes again..."

He was met with a collective groan as the workers realized their mistake.

Engineering was certainly a bit more calm than fighting...but it sure wasn't easy.

Alright, let's see what we have here.

If my calculator added up correctly, you've used 67 of your 70 stat points. But that shield generator will cost you 8 plus another variable amount of 3 for the other non-standard capabilities your character has. So, what they really boils down to is needing to shave off 8 more, total, if you want your character to have all those abilities. They make sense for the character so I'm fine with you having them, it's just a matter of what you want more, the stat numbers or the combat goodies.

Normally, I would be a little hesitant to let in a fanmade who has direct associations with a canon team like the Combaticons, but, I think this particular application happens to be so well done that I'm going to let it in. The sample post is really well done to boot, so that only helps.

So yeah, just tinker around with either the stat numbers or the abilities and I'll take another look and we can get this character in the mix pretty soon.

OK, thanks for the feedback! I'll tweak the statline a bit.

Also, regarding his status as a Combaticon, he isn't meant to be "the 6th lost Combaticon!" or anything silly like that- I was thinking of him like the various extra Constructicons that are mentioned that don't help form Devastator (and in some cases have next to no characterization). So basically one of many minor characters that act in support roles to the main team.

Also, feel free to tweak the stats as you see fit. Maths was never my strong point...

Yeah, there's some precedent for that in the fiction. And even in our game we have a fanmade Predacon, so I have no real objections when it's done well, so log as a crop of them don't start popping up.

So yeah, this character looks good to go. Rank 5. You can post his profile in the fanmade Decepticons section, make an entry in the roll call thread and start him off in Austrailia where most of the other Combaticons are right now. You can assume he got bounced down with the rest of the Con forces en masse and is filling his own piece of the attack strategy.

Welcome aboard and have fun! :D

Profile: Swoop was among Cybertron’s greatest aerial fighters. Originally he had joined with the Autobot forces on the outbreak of the war, but quickly excelled in the field of battle and rose through the ranks as an elite bombardier. Arrogant from his many victories, he soon made one terrible mistake.

In one fateful encounter, Swoop engaged with another aerial fighter, a Decepticon called Divebomb. Having been challenged by him, the Autobot aerialist accepted and engaged his counterpart in a one-on-one dogfight. However, Swoop overestimated his abilities and was out-done by Divebomb, suffering a painful and humiliating defeat.

After having found out, Autobot high command discharged Swoop from the service for his reckless actions. It was shortly after this that he came to the attention of one Autobot military commander, Grimlock. Having taken notice of his great aerial skills and learning of his defeat at the hands of Divebomb, he offered Swoop a place among his new unit, the Dinobots, to which he accepted.

In his new group, Swoop again received honor and recognition for his achievements, somewhat making up for the loss he felt he previously suffered. However, following a defeat at the hands of Shockwave, the Dinobots followed the Decepticon to Earth to revenge upon him, something the one aerialist was well familiar with. It was there that Swoop took on his current form of a prehistoric pteranodon and fell in battle alongside his comrades, buried alive for millions of years, until they were brought to Area 51 in the present day.

Swoop is still among the best of aerial fighters, and he knows this all too well. However, his first great loss has taught him humility and somewhat humbled him. While he can be as arrogant and disobedient as his Dinobot comrades, he is arguably more friendly and out-going, and can be very good company when given the chance. However, his reputation and appearance as frightening warrior makes him seem unapproachable, to his dismay.

To this day, Swoop still holds a personal rivalry with the Decepticon Divebomb and holds a desire to fight him in an aerial battle once again.

Abilities: Swoop is among one of the best aerial fighters among Cybertronians, even in his current reptilian state. He can soar up to 250 mph, and makes use of his ability to elevate and strike down upon his adversaries. His bestial form is capable to unsettling even the thickest of armor plating. He also has a great level of endurance, due to low fuel consumption. Underneath each of his wings are air-to-air missile launchers, each carrying the equivalent of 5000 lbs of TNT. They can also be reconfigured as air-to-surface missile launchers as well. His preferred method of attack is to soar into the air and dive down upon a target, releasing his missiles when in close proximity and then speeding away for a retreat. These weapons can be accessed while in robot form, when he is also equipped with a thermal sword, capable of heating to temperatures of 4000 degrees Centigrade. At that heat, it is capable of slicing through most metals like a knife through butter.

Weaknesses: While extremely maneuverable flying through the air and having a great endurance, Swoop is vulnerable to enemy firepower due to the relatively fragile nature of his wings.

Sample Post:

''This is your latest hour Dinobot!'' said Ramjet malicious. ''Me Swoop not latest hour.'' said Swoop calm. But the next moment Swoop transforms into his Mechanical Pteranodon and his launching one of his missles. ''You Ramjet find delicious!? Me Swoop destroy Ramjet!'' said Swoop glaringly. Then he is firing all of his missles to Ramjet. When all the missles hit the ground there is a big cloud of dust. When the cloud of dust is clearing your hearing Ramjet far away. ''Idiot!'' said Ramjet laughing. Then Swoop transforms and is flying after Ramjet. ''Me Swoop not idiot! Ramejet idiot!'' said Swoop angry.

This is not the level of writing we would look at for one of the Dinobots. We tried you out on a Constructicon and that didn't quite work out.

If you really want to take another stab at the game, I would recommend another basic, introductory type character to try and find your flow in the game and work on the mechanics of your posting. A character like Seaspray, Pipes, Beachcomber, or an Insecticon. Start out with one of those, work on improving your writing, and new character doors will open up.

Motto: ""Hit it till it stands no taller than the dust!''"
Weapon: Concussion Bombs
Windcharger

Function: Warrior
Alt. mode: Red Pontiac Trans-Am
Weapons: Blaster Rifle , laser pistol
(database entry says none so I just gave him a standard issue weapon and side arm appropriate to his fire power)
Special Abilities: magnetic field control and manipulation
Height: 18 ft / 6m
Quote: ‘Quick action equals quick victory'

STRENGTH: 4
INTELLIGENCE: 6
DEXTERITY: 7
SPEED: 8
ENDURANCE: 4
COURAGE: 9
FIREPOWER: 7
ACCURACY: 7
MELEE: 6
TECH SKILL: 5
CHARISMA: 5
RANK: 5

Profile: Windcharger is the fastest Autobot of them all- for short distances. In his sleek automobile form, he can go from 0 to 60 mph in less then a second with a top speed of 250 mph with a range of 300 miles. This makes him useful in certain situations requiring very fast, very decisive action. His personality is similar: what Windcharger decides he decides immediately. He glances at something and moves, seldom bothering to ask questions. This may be because his attention span isn't particularly long. He becomes instantly enthusiastic and a few hours later loses interest. His impatience often diminishes his usefulness in lengthy, complex courses of action. This frustrates Windcharger, as he wishes he could be more involved to fulfill his role as warrior. His quickness in action is a reflection of his desire to prove his valor, not only to his fellow Autobots, but to himself.

Abilities: In robot mode, Windcharger's arms act as the positive and negative poles of a magnet. He can cast powerful magnetic fields at distances up to 700 feet. He can levitate a 10-ton block of steel at that distance. He can attract objects that are affected by magnetism toward him or repel them. At closer distances he can rip them apart. His blaster rifle and laser pistol are standard armaments that Windcharger is not overly fond of wielding, but he cannot afford the power drain of more powerful armaments.

Weaknesses: If overused, his magnetic ability uses up tremendous amounts of power. Hence, he must be careful in using it. Unfortunately, Windcharger is seldom careful and so is prone to debilitating burn-outs. Because of his avaricious use of fuel his range is limited, thus he can sometimes be stranded if he does not closely monitor consumption.

Sample Post:(Battle at a lab)
''Windcharger! Liberate this people at the lab!'' said Optimus Prime from his shoulder while he is shooting at the Insecticons.
''Why must i every time to the boring jobs. I want to shut some Decepticon Mouths! I want to show them my new paintjob so they can rest in peace with a beautiful image in their optics.'' said Windcharger plaintive. He is streches is arms and is activating his magnetic powers. Every single piece of iron is in the air. Then he turns around, while the iron pieces are turning to en then he throws the iron at the direction of the Decepticons. ''Decepticons, retreaaat!'' said Megatron angry while he is shooting is last shot and then is retreating with the other Decepticons on his heels. ''Come on Prime. I'm an warrior not a rescuer. If you want someone that must rescue people you can use Bumblebee. He isn't that good.'' said Windcharger innocent. ''Wait, what did you said there?'' said Bumblebee a little bit angry. ''Maybe i can give you more speed by rebuidling you on the hard way.'' When Bumblebee is walking to Windcharger Windcharger transforms and is already driving to base. ''First you must catch me Bee!'' said Windcharger laughing.

Profile: Scavenger is driven by a manic urge to find things of value in a desperate attempt to prove his worth to his comrades, particularly his fellow Constructicons. And it makes no difference to him whether he has to dig up a hillside or someone's backyard- he could care less about personal property- in order to accomplish his goal. But more often than not, what he brings back is useless junk, which only reinforces his own image of uselessness to the others. Decepticon Leader Megatron has gravely noted that, "such behavior would be charming in a puppyoid, but ill-becomes a Decepticon warrior." It is only because Scavenger's unique abilities sometimes prove to be of vital importance that Megatron tolerates his continuing existence.

Abilities: In vehicular mode Scavenger's power shovel is equipped with a variety of magnetic, ionic, electrical and gas sensors that allow him to detect the presence of a variety materials within a 500-yard radius. He can also emit sonic charges into the ground. By analyzing the echoes that come back to him and using his other sensors he can determine with 80% accuracy the composition of ground underneath him to a depth 1.2 miles. His power shovel and detection powers combine to give Scavenger the ability to locate and uncover any number of materials, from trace metals to fuel sources, that might be useful the Decepticon cause. He carries a missile launcher in vehicular mode and a laser pistol in robot mode. When combined with his fellow Constructicons, he serves as the right arm module in the giant robot known as Devastator.

Weaknesses: Scavenger's abilities are diluted by his poor judgment, which causes him to squander vast amounts of his fuel supply. He is also prone overtaxing his power shovel, causing it to break down from metal fatigue

Weapon: Plasma Beam Rifle
Name: Wingspan
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-group: Clone/Decepticon Intelligence
Function: Data Processor
Alt. mode: Hawk
Weapons: Dual Electro-Burst Rifles
Special Abilities: None
Height: 24 ft / 7.3 m
Quote: “Knowledge is the most deadly weapon of all."

Strength: 5
Intelligence: 9
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 6
Endurance: 5
Courage: 7
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 7
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 9
Charisma: 6
Rank: 6

Profile: Wingspan is much more thoughtful than his clone brother, Pounce, but is just as ruthless in his own way. Wingspan is primarily concerned with information, and he doesn’t care how he gets it. He’s an unrepentant snoop whose inquisitive nature makes him crave new information at a rapid pace. Wingspan can never have enough knowledge, so he seeks it out by spying on enemy troops; if there’s nothing of military importance to occupy his time, he’ll satiate his need for data by spying on friends and foes alike during their private time. When faced with a prisoner who refuses to give up information, Wingspan isn’t above the use of torture to get what he wants. Pounce, who usually shuns his bookish brother, feels great pride when Wingspan resorts to violence.

Abilities: Subject has only average strength and endurance but incredibly high intelligence. He is an expert at collating and analyzing data and recognizing trends in information. His hawk mode has incredible vision as well as chemical and infrared sensors that he uses to collect geographical data and to locate resources. In both modes, he can wield two electro-burst rifles that overload a target’s circuitry.

Weaknesses: Although skilled at his function, Wingspan is at a disadvantage in full-scale combat situations.
Sample Post: “We can do this the easy way or the fun way. So Autobot, what is it?”
“I’ll never tell you Decepticreep. My partner will rescue me.”
“You mean him?” Wingspan opens a small box sitting on the table next to him, removing a roughly spherical object. He waves the item is shown to the prisoner. Energon is violently ejected from his mouth. He tosses the head behind the Autobot, and a catlike form emerges from the shadows, gnawing on the loose part. “Ready to talk now?”
“Never, I’ll never betray my friends!”
“Excellent. Pounce, remove his left optic.” The cat transforms into an identical Decepticon, who approaches the chair. Pounce lunges towards the hapless bot, his hand racing towards the bots faces. An eye is deposited in his hand. “Now, shove it down his throat.”
“Wait, I’ll talk”
“No need. We already removed the information from your Cortex while you were unconscious.”
“You monsters, you won’t get away with this!”
Wingspan approaches the door, and light floods the room. “Pounce, I’m off to deliver the goods. Have fun you two.” As the Decepticon walks out the door, he heard a scream. He smiled.

Allegiance: Autobot
Sub-group: Diplomatic Corps
Function: Theoretician/Anthropologist
Alternate Modes: Dark Blue Second-Generation Scion xB
Weapons: Liquid Nitrogen Rifle, Twin Electron Blasters, Rocket Launcher
Special Abilities: “Super learning” ability
Height: 29ft/ 8.84m
Quote: “Deep down, we are more like than unlike humans."

Intelligence: 9
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 5

Courage: 7
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 8
Melee: 8
Tech Skill: 7
Charisma: 7
Rank: 7

Profile: No matter where he is physically, Skids’ thoughts are usually elsewhere. He is a consummate daydreamer whose prodigious intellect is always assimilating and analyzing new information. But Skids is no narrow-minded data-cruncher; he combines a scientist’s curiosity and logic with an artist’s imagination as one of the most sensitive and introspective Transformers. His unique way of questioning the world around him has led Skids to many invaluable discovers, both before and after the start of the Great War. He would much rather be traveling Cybertron and other worlds, like Earth, to learn about their cultures than formulating theories about the latest Decepticon attack.

Skids wishes he could blot out all knowledge of dreadful conflict, and many Autobots believe that he often does, based on his absent-minded behavior. He is often preoccupied with his theories... which would be fine if he wasn't usually in that state while cruising along at 60 mph. Usually, he rouses himself from his dazes just in time to screech to a halt and prevent himself from slamming into whatever object or being ended up in his path... usually. For now, Skids is stuck in his role as a part of the Autobot army, but his mind is always wandering, pondering why things are and why the fighting continues.

Abilities: Before the war, Skids trained as a theoretician at the Senator Shockwave’s Academy for Advanced Technology, secretly recruited to the school because of his status as an "outlier” with special powers—in Skids' case, a "super-learning" ability that allowed him to master many skills. After graduating to full-fledged theoretician status, Skids went on to join the Diplomatic Corps, to work to persuade other races to support the Autobot cause. Skids has an enormous memory storage capacity that he is constantly filling with the help of his virtually instantaneous visual recorder, capable of such feats as scanning an entire college library in two hours. His specialties are anthropology and sociology in addition to general scientific research. Skids has an amazing knack for coming to accurate conclusions based on shreds of tactical data.

In robot mode, he carries a liquid nitrogen rifle which shoots a stream of the super-cooled element up to 600 feet. He also uses an electron blaster which emits a burst of 20,000 volts and can short-circuit virtually any mechanical foe as well as a rocket launcher. In car mode, his brakes - by far the best among the Autobots - can decelerate him from 50 mph to zero within 25 feet. Although such sudden stops aren't good for the well-being of any car, even Skids.

Weaknesses: Physically, Skids has below-average strenght as a robot and below-average speed as a vehicle. His daydreaming often puts him in very dangerous situations, and he can be trapped into letting his guard down when distracted by something that piques his scientific curiosity.

Red Alert

Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Security Director
Alternate Modes: Lamborghini Countach modified to a fire chief's car
Weapons: Shoulder-mounted Rocket Launcher, High-energy Particle Beam Rifle
Special Abilities: High sensory perception, able to trigger an electronic alarm in other Autobots
Height: 28ft/ 8.5m
Quote: “Caution can never be overused."

Holomatter Avatar: Red Alert's avatar is based on Agent Fox Mulder from the television series The X-Files. He is dressed in a formal fire chief's uniform.

Profile:
Paranoia is the character trait that makes Red Alert as good as he is at his job. Nothing escapes his notice- a whiff of smoke, a whisper of crackling electricity, a faint scent of fuel exhaust. Anything, no matter how small, that triggers his sensory circuitry directs his thoughts immediately to the expectation of trouble. Most of his comrades find his edgy, driven nature unwelcome presence among their ranks, but they all appreciate his dedication to his duty. "He may have a few wires crossed in his logic center," says Inferno, "but at least his optical sensors are looking straight ahead."

Abilities:
Red Alert can trigger an electronic alarm on each of his fellow Autobots. His sensory perception is excellent. His visual acuity is such that he can pinpoint a 2 cm microchip at 1200 feet. He can hear a pin drop- at a distance of 1.4 miles! And his olfactory module can detect odors as weak as 2 parts per million. In vehicular mode he is among the fastest of the Autobots. In robot mode he carries a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher that has a 25-mile range, and a high-energy particle beam rifle.

Weaknesses:
Red Alert's paranoia and nervousness make him succeptible to rash judgments. Consequently, his actions can be injurious to both himself and his fellow Autobots, if he's not careful.

Name: Highbrow
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: ELECTRONIC WARFARE
Alt. mode: Dual propeller helicopter
Weapons: Acid Rainmaker Rifles
Special Abilities: Enhanced sensory, tracking and anti sensory systems.
Height: 33 feet/10.06 meters
Quote: War is the playground of the ignorant.

Strength: 07
Intelligence:07
Dexterity: 07
Speed: 07
Endurance: 06
Courage: 06
Firepower: 06
Accuracy: 08
Melee: 06
Tech Skill: 09
Charisma: 07
Rank: 06

Profile: Highbrow considers warfare a barbaric solution to problems, worthy of only the most primitive sentient creatures. He believes civilized folk should talk about their differences, a talent for which he seemingly has an endless capacity. Hardhead claims that Highbrow's voice box burns enough fuel by itself to power all the Autobots on their team for a year. Although that is doubtful, Highbrow does talk a lot and uses a lot of words that nobody understands. Even Chromedome often finds himself fruitlessly searching through his extensive vocabulary. Highbrow considers himself intellectually superior to the other Autobots. They think he's a self-righteous snob. Highbrow's biggest disappointment in life is that circumstance has forced him to lower himself to participate in the very activity he most loathes - fighting.

Abilities: In helicopter mode, Highbrow has twin three-bladed rotors that enable him to lift up to 22,000 pounds of cargo, and, with the help of two small vectored-thrust turbofan engines, reach a maximum speed of 1200 mph. More accurately, Highbrow's designation is a jet helicopter. He's packed with equipment designed to detect, monitor and record enemy communications; target-indicating radar whose signals can be relayed to ground stations; magnetic, infrared and audio sensors for detecting enemy robots and vehicles; and a variety of anti-detection systems to protect himself. His range is 800 miles. In robot mode, Highbrow uses two acid rainmaker rifles, which shoot streams of highly corrosive acid.

Weaknesses: Sometimes the thrust of Highbrow's jet engines overpower his rotors, sending him spinning out of control when in helicopter mode.

Intelligence: 7
Dexterity: 6
Speed: 8
Endurance: 5
Courage: 7
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 7
Melee: 6
Tech Skill: 6
Charisma: 4

Profile: Not all seekers are graceful. Not all fliers are agile. What Slaughterhouse is, unquestionably, is a brutally efficient war machine. He often thunders onto the battlefield; Eschewing traditional Decepticon values in favor of massively violent assaults. For him, the bloodier a conflict, the better. He will stop at nothing to destroy his enemies, and the bigger the scale of his victory the better.

Slaughterhouse views each fight like a performance, orchestrating his assaults in as much an attempt to maximize their violence as to achieve his objectives. Pleas of surrender simply go unheeded by him, while cries of retreat just seem to confuse him. How could anyone think of leaving such fun?
His fellow seekers have learned to get out of Slaughterhouse's way, because in the heat of battle, one robot looks very much like another to him. For his commanding officers, he's a useful tool, a weapon to be pointed at a target and let fly; provided any collateral damage he does, doesn't outweigh his usefulness of course.

Abilities: Slaughterhouse is a pit fighter at heart, and he was raised fighting among such greats as Megatron and Grimlock. Slaughterhouse may not have gained their skill or notoriety, but he does earn a fair amount of respect for his brutality and bloodthirsty nature; His best skill in combat is his tenacity, which drives him onward to continue offensives that his less foolhardy allies would consider insane.
When he's not tearing enemies asunder with his bare hands, Slaughterhouse prefers to use an energon chainsaw to do his talking for him. The chainsaw itself is composed of super durable cybertronian alloys, and superheated by an energon core. Using it, Slaughterhouse can cut through most conventional armor with remarkable ease, albeit fairly slowly.
For ranged attacks in both modes, Slaughterhouse uses a pair of arm mounted 50 caliber laser guided machine guns, which although unimpressive in design, can do a fair job of shredding light armor and keeping his enemies at bay. At close ranges they can be devastating.
His jet mode is a standard F-15, and can reach speeds approaching Mach 2.

Weaknesses: Slaughterhouse's combat philosophy is anything but subtle; any sufficiently intelligent adversary will quickly learn to keep him at range, and tear him apart from a distance. His foolhardy nature causes Slaughterhouse to frequently underestimate enemies, and he is highly reluctant to back down from any fight. Having lost his vocabulator in a pit fighting incident, Slaughterhouse cannot speak.

Sample Post:
Taking to the battlefield behind his brothers; Slaughterhouse fired his machine guns into the Autobot lines, reinforcing the seeker's lines in their initial assault, and following the letter of his orders from Starscream, if not the spirit. Despite his current position in the Decepticon ranks Slaughterhouse had never been, and would never be a team player.

That would ruin the fun...

Once the initial pass was through though, he split off from the other air warriors; silencing his fire as he scanned the enemy lines, looking for a target, any target to sate his blood lust.

When his optics found the Autobot Ironhide, his radio gave a surprisingly bestial hiss, recognition dawning from his review of the Autobot files. This one would be a worthy challenge, and an excellent trophy.

Cutting engines and dropping altitude, the Seeker zoned in on his enemy.
In this moment everything else left him but his target; all other dangers or distractions swept away in the drumbeat of combat.

Shifting from jet to robot mode at the last possible moment Slaughterhouse pulled out his energon chainsaw and drove it down before him, seeking to bisect his foe in one clean, brutal stroke.

OOC:
Okay, lets talk about this character for a moment. Firstly, Slaughterhouse is a seeker, a fairly common make for Decepticons, and not one of his choice. Back in the day, Slaughterhouse was a pit fighter, and his particular specialty was as a particularly brutal, sadistic enemy. He liked to make a mess in the ring, and this characteristic follows through to this day.

Appearance wise, Slaughterhouse is a olive drab green and teal, with standard Seeker features. The only exception is that he has a flat expressionless faceplate, with only a few 'air holes' to add design to it. He's a little bit bigger and bulkier than the average seeker, owing to his unorthodox fighting style. Not unlike how G1 Jhiaxus is basically a bulked up seeker in robot mode.

Height: 18 ft / 6m

This is a character more in line with what I was recommending, but I'm afraid the sample is just too hard to read. This isn't English class, but it is a writing game, so I would recommend working on some improvement in your grammar and sentence structure and lastly, when you've got a post or sample post all ready to go, run it through a spelling and grammar checker. It's never a cure-all, but it would fix some of the things I'm seeing. That said, I'm going to have to deny this application.

So Autobot, what is it?"
“I’ll never tell you Decepticreep. My partner will rescue me."
“You mean him?" Wingspan opens a small box sitting on the table next to him, removing a roughly spherical object. He waves the item is shown to the prisoner. Energon is violently ejected from his mouth. He tosses the head behind the Autobot, and a catlike form emerges from the shadows, gnawing on the loose part. “Ready to talk now?"
“Never, I’ll never betray my friends!"
“Excellent. Pounce, remove his left optic." The cat transforms into an identical Decepticon, who approaches the chair. Pounce lunges towards the hapless bot, his hand racing towards the bots faces. An eye is deposited in his hand. “Now, shove it down his throat."
“Wait, I’ll talk”
“No need. We already removed the information from your Cortex while you were unconscious."
“You monsters, you won’t get away with this!"
Wingspan approaches the door, and light floods the room. “Pounce, I’m off to deliver the goods. Have fun you two." As the Decepticon walks out the door, he hears an energon curdling scream. He smiled.

Good pick. Nice sample. Only thing I would say is to be mindful of spacing out your paragraphs so that it's not a block of text or single-spaced all the way through. But that's an easy fix once you get your feet wet. Approved. You can post this profile in the canon Decepticon section if he doesn't have one, make an entry in the roll call and pick up with him on Garrus-9.

Profile: Removed from the type of close-quarters combat his fellow Combaticons engage in, Blast Off soars through the vast vacuum of outer space feeling literally and figuratively above the other Transformers. He exudes an aristocratic air, believing that the problems of others are too petty and foolish for him to be concerned with. He appears quite happy in his role, orbiting hundreds of miles away from his comrades. But his happiness is an act, a disguise he uses to hide his long-distance loneliness. His aloof and superior manner is a front that prevents the other Decepticons from knowing his true feelings. None of this interferes with his performance - From his perch high above, he is cruelly efficient at raining destruction down on the world below. Perhaps because of the remoteness of his targets, perhaps because that's just the way he is, Blast Off feels not the least trace of remorse about his actions.

Abilities: In space shuttle mode, Blast Off can reach speed of light and stay in orbit up to eight months. From his nosecone he can emit a powerful x-ray laser that can burn a hole through a rocketing ICBM 12,000 miles away or hit an Autobot on the ground. The effectiveness of this weapon is reduced 80% by the Earth's atmosphere. He also carries relaying equipment that allows over-the-horizon communication between Decepticons on the surface. In robot mode, he uses an ionic blaster, which shoots a beam of highly charged particles that disrupts the flow of electricity in anything of an electrical nature.

Weaknesses: Subject exhibits no known physical weaknesses.

Sample Post:
Primus...What was that?

Hazily, the weakened Decepticon struggled to remember what had caused his injury. Feeling once more the pull of eldtritch energies, a flash of power from the Fallen's staff. Not even a glimmer of what the monster had been capable of.

Regaining consciousness now, with the sounds of combat still ringing in his audio receptors, Blast Off could not help but remember his longstanding disdain for earthbound transformers. Any fool could see combat on such a small scale led to disaster every time. How much better to stay far away, aloof and untouchable.

He couldn't very well have shot me out of orbit...Could he?

In his spark though, Blast Off knew the truth. Facing down such an abomination, not even orbit around the moon would have saved him.

Trying to rise up, Blast Off felt every circuit straining in agony, his systems flatly refusing to regain their hold. Even keeping his optics on line was a supreme effort of will. Though from what he observed, blindness would be preferable to what he now saw.

What The Fallen had started, the Earth itself had seemed content to finish. His armor, once gleaming umber chassis was now burned a dull black all over. Armor that would have served him well on reentry was now cracked and broken.

His limbs, thankfully or not, seemed intact, but every joint was shot. Each limb was held at odd, unnatural angles, like some poorly drawn technical schematic. Blast Off couldn't event feel his extremities to better judge their damage level. Maybe that was for the best.

I look like something Swindle would sell for scrap...How...pathetic...

With that single thought in mind, Blast Off's world faded from view once more, his energy resources unequal to the task of resurrecting him from status lock on their own.

Good sample. Glad to see you took our advice haha. Approved. You can make a new entry in the roll call thread. You clearly know where to pick up with him, so welcome aboard and have fun :D

Use the profiles already written.

Please do not ask questions in the application thread. The chatterbox is there for that reason

Profile: Nicknamed “Turbomaster” by his teammates due to his absolute dedication to his squad, Scorch is Rear Guard of the Turbomasters. Fiercely loyal to his leader Thunderclash, he is courageous to the point of recklessness, despite having over 4 million years of experience. Some say he is so devoted to his cause that he is capable of billowing fire at his enemies. In vehicle mode, his Turbine Gun provides superb Firepower. Doubts the abilities of younger Autobots, believing them too inexperienced to be effective in combat.

Scorch is often courageous to the point of recklessness, volunteering to go on excursions with overwhelmingly negative odds. Has maximum distance of 150 meters. Capable of lifting over 5 tons. Armour is capable of deflecting tank shells. Clicks well with his teammates.

We were doomed before we even set foot on Nebulos. The 'Cons had set up Fusion Cannons to protect the Mines. Shuttle 2 was down before we even entered the atmosphere. I was lucky. Scorch’s optics slowly came online. The sky was covered in smoke. Decpticons roamed the battlefield, picking off the survivors. He snatched his still functional gun off of his back, quickly dashing behind cover.

“Looks like the survivors gave the Cons a hell of a fight. Five left, the blue one is missing an arm, and the green one has only one eye. Great.” The lone Autobot aimed his Turbine Gun at the Decepticlops, who had yet to see him. He was down with one quick pull of the trigger. The explosion rang out across the battlefield. “Command, I need extraction now!”

The Decepticons rushed the wall with guns blazing. Scorch toggled the flamethrower mode on his gun, and stuck the barrel through a whole generously provide the ‘Cons. Fire enveloped Blue, who was reduced to slag within seconds. Another ‘Con rounded the wall, pulling out an Energo Sword. Scorch’s arm burst into flame as he dug his fist into her cranium.

More ‘Cons emerged from the mine. “Boss, now would be a really good time for some assistance!” Which great haste, a barrage of laser rained down the sky, totally annihilating the mine, and everyone inside and around it. The blast didn’t discriminate, wiping out Nebulan and Decepticon alike. The ships dropped in, Autobots pouring out. “Secure the area, kill any survivors”, shouted Boss as he stepped out of his shuttle.

“You killed them”, shouted Scorch. “It was the only way. Had we gone again under the pretence of a rescue mission, we would have earned the same results. We can’t go losing our best soldiers so easily. This war has taken too many good Bots.” “I understand sir.” Boss grabbed Scorch’s arm helping him onto the shuttle. “We’ll win this war whatever it takes. As soon a we get back to the ship, get into a CR chamber.” “Yes sir”, said Scorch saluting.

Normally this character would get a big, fat negative, but we happen to have a setting where he fits perfectly...so...approved. Have fun :)
