Profile: Jailbreak is fond of two things, bullying those weaker than him, and ramming Autobots to bits under his wheels. Jailbreak often isn't described as a person, so much as a force of nature that wants to run over or run down everything in his way, particularly if he can go head to head with a wanna-be tough-guy in a game of chicken. Running Autobots down is a thrill that he should only be stopped because he found a new one to run over. Valuing his freedom to destroy on a whim, the Decepticon cause comes very naturally to him, though it is more than likely just an excuse to showcase his appatite for vehicular carnage.
It's unsure on what's worse, Jailbreak's need to use his own body as a weapon or his incredible toughness that allows him not only to survive the act, but do it again and again. Sometimes it would appear he has no sense of self-preservation, crashing through walls, doors, barricades. If it is even hinted that he can run through it, he may just try to do it on principle, and probably wont stop on the first attempt out of spite.
That's not to say he is any less dangerous in robot mode. He carries with him weaponry that brings about intense destruction at range. The issue often comes that he is very inaccurate with it, though that simply means he needs to keep shooting with wild abandon, even if a fellow Decepticon is in the way. With such impulse control issues, destructive lusts, and the wild abandon to execute it, he is a soldier that requires careful consideration on where he is deployed, or he may simply turn on his leader to make an example of those who waste his time and energon.
Abilities:
Flight
Shield Generator
Anti-Grav Driving
Weakness: Impulse Control Problems and Reckless Assault, he is often found putting his body on the line to crush his foes. Tending to have an anti-authority personality if he is not placed in an assignment that lets him do what he does best, more than one Decepticon has thought about shooting him in the back before he 'accidently' does the same to them. He also tends to be very easily tricked, as he is not that bright of an individual.
Sample Post:
The Anticipation. The Reving of Engines. The Heat of Burning Rubber as wheels turn on concrette and the speed gathers. The sound of lasor fire overhead builds the intensity, and for that moment, Jailbreak savoured every moment of it. Just ahead was an autobot, trying to outmanuver him, run from him, veering between buildings and ruins alike. It didn't matter though, it just added to the thrill. Debree flew high as he crashed through this Autobot's obsticle course trying to make him slow down, hoping to loose him, but even with the disruptor fire clanging off his shielded hull it was clear Jailbreak was all but a monster who relished in the persuit.
CRASH!
Time stood still, Jailbreak's occular sensors didn't need to show him what he already knew. He could FEEL it! That bending steel forming around his front grill, a perfect T-Bone collision. That smell of oil and fear, that taste of a spark at the hight of terror knowing it was about to be snuffed out. It felt like forever before his audio could take it that sound that almost brought a tremble of glee to his internal structure, or maybe that was just the vibration if the impact. That sound of twisting metal and screaming of horror and surprise. These were the moments that made life worth living.
Then that momment was gone. He watched the Autobot roll twice over before crashing into one of the structures it was using for cover. Jailbreak however still had momentum, and pushed forward picking up speed again. Maybe the Autobot would survive, maybe he wouldn't. Many would say 'finish it' and make sure he would remain inoperable. That would be missing the point though.
"Common Autobot! Get up! Don't make it this easy!" The words barely came out before the second collision happened. That moment that defined Jailbreak.
That moment where time stood still...
This is another good app with a solid sample post. Nice job. Again, though, there are a few areas that need fine-tuning and like above it mainly involves the Special Abilities and Abilities sections.
For starters, you mention flight again and again I assume you mean robot mode flight. This is not really considered a special ability as far as the Decepticons are concerned since they all have that ability. Therefore, you don’t have to mention it as a special ability or even mention it at all since it’s a given with the ‘cons. If you want to leave it here that’s fine, but most ‘con profiles don’t mention it. Your call.
Now, you have him with a protective force field that allows him to crash through things more easily. However, you also have him with an endurance level of 9 (that’s without a force field), which means his armor is very strong and can withstand a lot of punishment without much damage occurring. Therefore, having a force field is unnecessary for him as he doesn’t need it. Plus, judging by his personality, he doesn’t seem to be the type that would “hide” behind a force field. So, I would remove this special ability all together and add the extra 4 stat points back in. A force field would actually be an 8 point penalty but again it’s really not needed considering how tough he already is.
Finally, you have him with an anti-grav (anti-gravity) special ability that allows him to drive up very steep surfaces and make small jumps. I have to admit, I’m a bit perplexed by this as anti-grav sounds like he could literally hover just above the ground in vehicle mode. That’s really what anti-gravity does, and I’m assuming he’s not going to be able to do that? Plus, how steep an incline are we talking about? I assume he’s not going to drive straight up a wall. Why not just transform back to robot mode and fly up said wall? Would be easier. As for going up very steep surfaces or making small jumps, more horsepower could accomplish that or even a rocket booster like Kit from Knight Rider to make the small jumps. Might look a little silly with a big truck doing jumps, though. So, I don’t really see the need for this kind of special ability as there are other ways a mech could accomplish those things. I would either rethink this anti-grav concept or remove it.
As a result, and depending on what you want to do with the anti-grav idea, you’ll have the full 70 stat points to use. Your accuracy again seems much too low. 3 means he has really lousy aim and wouldn’t do very well in a firefight. I would up that to at least 5 so he’s at least an average shooter.
Furthermore, as with you last app, the Abilities section down below the character profile needs to be written out in paragraph form, detailing his normal abilities along with any special abilities. Talk about how fast he is, his strength, what his weapons can do, etc.
Okay, so again, this is a pretty good first attempt and you are almost there. It’s very well done, but the special abilities need to be adjusted. Robot mode flight is fine, but I don’t see a force shield being needed for a tough mech like him, and the anti-grav needs to either be reworked or also removed. So, make the necessary changes to those areas and adjust your stats accordingly. Then re-post the app, and I’ll have another look at it. And again, if you have any questions or need any help please feel free to PM me. I’ll be happy to assist.
