To respect the Club's wishes for the secret figure to remain a secret until its official release (Ryan got his early).

That's rubbish, as I mentioned they already posted 2 news stories revealing this figure identity already. If they really respected the clubs wishes they won't have posted either story. Similar if they wanted to respect the Club's wishes why not actually wait until the official release to show the gallery instead of jumping the gun and doing this mess.
All I can say is take it up with Ryan.

Why wait for Hasbro ? Pick up a Blaster and Soundwave and you can do it yourself...

On a side note, covering each individual photo with a "teaser alert" was tremendous overkill. Just leaving the teaser alert on the link would have been sufficient. The one person on Earth who cares about not ruining the surprise wouldn't bother to click on the link.

Wow ... that looks really awesome. What did you use for Blaster's face to make it that color?

This was just me having fun with all of this. It just took about 10 hours of programming, creating graphics and extensive testing to change the functionality of the galleries to make it so we can now have select "Members Only" galleries and "Spoiler" galleries if needed. Each individual thumbnail wasn't replaced, it's just some simple programming to make the gallery display the real thumbnail or a "spoiler" thumbnail.

Now that I have implemented the new gallery functionality, I will probably start using this on special galleries in the future. I already have some special galleries planned that I don't see the point of having be available to the public initially.

We provided spoiler space in both stories and didn't put the character's name in the title.

leokearon wrote:So why do it for the actual gallery?

To avoid the opposite of your statements which are ... "thanks for spoiling this for me" and other similar comments. This little experiment just shows that there's just no pleasing everyone. Damned if I do, damned if I don't!

leokearon wrote:All it does it makes it more inconvenient for everyone.

It's not really inconvenient. There's ONE extra link that you have to click to disable the spoiler view and go back to the regular gallery view. That's it! Just one extra link you have to click.

Seibertron.com exists to bring fans news, information, and entertainment . We jump through all sorts of hoops to do this. If we wait until a figure is released, someone will inevitably jump the gun. We always like to be first with news ... it doesn't always happen, but we certainly try to be first!

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks for participating on Seibertron.com.

Thanks Ryan. My friend Eddie did this custom for me. He used a certain type of paint that comes in a tube to match the shade of blue perfect. I wish I could remember the name of the paint. Also, there were a lot of pins that needed to be popped out and a heating pin was needed to do so. It was no easy task. Props go to Eddie.

It's funny how Catgut, having no instructions, can be converted into two different gun configurations.

That mold in general is really awesome. It's got plenty of modes(cat mode, gun mode, saw mode, shield mode, etc.).

Got my Treadshot today, which was probably the quickest I've received any club figure. Thought it was worth mentioning given that I'm in the UK.

Take note that Stylor comes misassembled with the arms and lower legs swapped, but the galleries have him fixed.

Good job on the swaps, was that all you had to do, Seibs?

most importantly though, stylor comes with the wings and backpack assembled correctly.Only complaint with this figure, besides mine coming with the head of the pin that keeps the rotating forearm piece on missing from one of the arms (sent back for replacement) is the wheeljack mold's lack of rotation in the elbow/forearm area. But it's such a great mold otherwise, and chromedome just OWNS it.

why is it that the botcon and TFCC figures suffer from such rampant QC problems?

Wasn't there a rumor a few months back that to cut costs the club doesn't pay for QC or something like that :???:

A more likely explanation is that we as collectors are far more weary of slight errors, as we're paying a premium to get these figures. And the errors themselves are the same as what you can expect from regular retail, from loose joints to misassembled pieces. We just don't scream bloody murder when that happens with regular retail as they're easily replaced

Actually I heard the same thing about Quality Control. I experience a much higher percentage of problems with the Club exclusives and BotCon figures than I do with regular retail figures.
