If I remember correctly, there was a panel discussion posted on a topic where Hasbro hinted at the making of toys from the IDW comic..........and if this is it, my hope is that this is not the only one, especially since there are characters that should have been a part of CHURG that didn't make it.........plus, Megatron is in serious need of an overhaul, IMHO......

If they are going to make an IDW G1-based phase of the line, then I think I'm starting to see the pattern of the Generations line:
Phase 1 - War for Cybertron
Phase 2 - Classics-style
Phase 3 - Fall of Cybertron
Phase 4 - IDW G1
(I'm excluding the GDO stuff since the U.S. wasn't originally supposed to get those.)
I guess this is what Hasbro meant by the Generations line covering multiple series and generations, only doing so in a turn-based pattern.
Though the obvious IDW-inspired Drift and Blurr were in Phase 2, they might have tested the waters for Phase 4.
If you've read Exodus, wanna read the War For Cybertron comic? PM me.

Interest piqued, but I'll have to hold off on any excitement until we see some in depth pics...assuming this actually means anything beyond just art in the first place. I'm still not sold on the rookies designing the figures now since the pros moved on to Star Wars...

My big concern is whether it's a deluxe or voyager.
If they reveal that then I'll know if I'll save money for that or try to purchase current FOC Prime.
Really bites that I missed WFC Prime's figure. Hopefully this one will compensate.

I really hope this happens I love idw and they way they draw the transformers. And I really hope they make a hot rod because he is over due for a better mold just like megatron and prime IMO. Also I've been trying to collect figures that look like their idw versions.

Is there any idea on a release date or are we dreaming?

At this point all we have is a piece of artwork. Not even confirmation that a toy will even be made.
