Sure, it's nice to have a choice in colors and I thought the ability to use it as a movie player for you TV is cool, but it's still a slight improvement on a broken system. The fact that he used Spiderman 2 to demonstrates how it works is evidence of that.

On a related note, I was hoping Nintendo would have revealed that rumored DS with the closer together screens and more comfortable grip. Definately would have upgraded to that from my old DS "Phat".

How is the PSP a broken system and why does playing Spiderman two prove that?

It's broken b/c it's not being used to play games like it's intended to. It is, afterall, a PlayStation. What would the PS3 be if people only used it to surf the internet and listen to music and watch movies. It would be a crappy PC, but at least there are games for PCs. The PSP is more like an iPhone except without the phone. There are only a hand full of decent games for PSP, which has been out for a few years now. And none of them are system sellers IMO.

And as for showing Spidey 2. It's one the first movies available for the PSP. Heck, everyone that owns a PSP probably has b/c it came in the box. Why not show something a little more recent like Spidey 3? I know it was just in theaters, but still. Maybe do a little cross promotion and give us a release date for Spidey 3 on DVD, UMD, and Blueray? And speaking of UMD, I don't see that advertized anymore. For the first year of PSP life, I saw every movie that came out on DVD advertize that it's on UMD too. But less and less so now.

I've only got two UMD movies (bought them on sale for $5), but I've got something like 12 games now for the PSP, so no one can tell me there aren't games that are worth it on the PSP. I only regret buying one of them, Prince of Persia Revelations, as it's buggy as hell but that's hardly the PSPs fault.

I use it to play games, watch movies, listen to music and surf the web. It's a handy little device to have when I'm not near my PC or PS2.

My wife and I were talking about getting the Battlefront pack when it comes out so I can get the slim PSP with the video port. She'll get my old one to play some games on it and listen to music and so on. My only complaint is that the TV out cord won't come with the system so you have to get it seperately.

It's called the DS Lite. It's something like 2/3 smaller and 30% lighter than the original.

As for 'mature games,' if people mean guts and gore, that doesn't make a great game (though I've played plenty good ones with it), and I've never been a fan of GTA. I find, if anything, 'mature' should apply to players who look don't look at 'rated E' as a condemning mark for a game, and idolize good solid gameplay over empty, brain-numbing violence.

No, thats not how it goes. When we say mature games, we dont mean stuff with simple mindless blood and violence, we mean we want stuff that isnt obviously aimed and designed for 5 year olds. I.E. Mario and its endless spin offs, starfox and stupid kiddy character based games like that which is all the DS ever has and all Nintendo ever comes out with.

We want an intelligent, exciting, realistic, adult experiance. If swearing and blood make it into the mix then thats just an added bonus.

Yeah by "mature" I mean, no pokemon blue diamond fom the bottom of the ocean crap, If I wanted to raise an animal I would buy one. And not every other game needs to be mario or wario. I know ds has other games that are not that but the "bulk" are those types of games in one form or another.

It's cool that they got a slimmer psp. But, that's not i wanted. The thing i would want the most is a right analog stick, because turning with the same stic to use for walking is really difficult for me.

Second Paragraph sums me up exactly. And why GTA never cut it for me. But, as well, Prince of Persia and God of War are amoung my favorite titles. Violence is cool if it backs a good story and intense gameplay. What I'm just not cool with is why some people seem to instantly condemn games without the blood and gore as something strictly for the kiddies.

Exactly. Without a second analog stick, a revamped PSP is pretty pointless imo. I'll just keep my old one. I don't play it enough for the battery life to be a problem anyways.
